Front Hubs, Bearings have gone bad, and they are on backorder. 6500 on waiting list. I have been on this list since Janurary. Was told today that the company making the part, are not even make them. This could cause an accident if the bearings lockup. The ABS and the traction control does not work. Making for unsafe driving. Especially with fall and winter coming.

Brake fluid was leaking internally into the booster. This caused a low level brake fluid alarm with an immediate soft pedal resulting a significant delay in braking response. Ford has issued a recall for this specific master cylinder leak. However, my vehicle shows no recalls.

While driving down the highway at the speed limit (75 mph), my truck suddenly lost power and partially lost braking. The engine was still running but was running at an idle speed RPM. Both an audible voice and a message on the driver information panel said "drive mode not available, service is needed" Braking power was partially lost at the same time. Steering power seemed normal but braking power was also partially lost at the same time. My truck started slowing down, obviously, and as soon as a shoulder was available, I pulled over onto the shoulder and let my vehicle speed decrease. I only had partial braking power (I estimate less than 30%) so was unable to quickly come to a full stop. As my truck slowed to a speed of about 5 mph, it suddenly started working again, although an icon shaped like a wrench appeared at the bottom center of the driver information panel. At the same time of the issue described above, the air conditioning and air blower fully stopped at the same time, and the multifunction display used for audio and navigation went blank for a moment and reset itself. When it came back on the navigation portion of the screen gave a "GPS faulted" error. I was able to finish driving to work, where I parked the vehicle. Later, after work, and after the vehicle had been parked for several hours, the truck behaved normally, the wrench icon was gone and there was no indication at all that there had been any issue. I was in congested traffic at the time of the event and it could have resulted in a serious highway traffic accident involving multiple vehicles.

The brakes went all the way to the floor. Indicated lights such as (brake) and (brake fluid low) came on. I contacted Ford about this issue and they said my vehicles VIN number is not listed under the 22S14 recall for this problem so at this time they cannot fix it.

Vehicle was inspected by the dealership and Ford inspector. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL RELATED PROBLEMS OF THE 2018 Ford F-150. Backing up to an elevated driveway on a residential street. Braking at 0 mph and the vehicle accelerated at a speed which crashed the front end of the neighbor-??s car parked at the top of the driveway. Those neighbors have two small children which play on that driveway and would have been killed. The neighbor heard the brakes screeching. I did not have my foot on the accelerator. This incident was reported to the police, the dealership and Ford which inspected the vehicle. They claim they did not find a problem, but there are a multitude of similar issues online. I received an recall email from NHTSA today, March 22, 2022 which I was convinced was FORD and NHTSA resolving this issue because the NHTSA information (in its brevity) seemed similar to what happened with our F-150. However, the NHTSA Campaign number 22V150000, recall number 22S11. However, our F-150 is a 5.0L engine.

Parked 2018 F-150 on slight incline facing downhill. 12' dump trailer attached with load of 2000 lbs. Put transmission in park and set park brake. While preparing to unload trailer, I think I heard a popping sound. Then the truck suddenly began to roll downhill. It traveled about 70 feet before crashing into two parked cars. I ran to the truck and confirmed the transmission was in park and the brake indicator light was on, confirming that I had set the park brake. The truck had rolled freely with no indication of resistance from the brakes or transmission. Considerable damage was done to my truck, the trailer, and the two parked cars. My truck was towed but repairs have not yet begun and no cause has been determined as to why both the park brake and the transmission failed at the same time.

The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving, the gears failed to engage. The vehicle inadvertently shifted into 4WD. There was an abnormal screeching and grinding noise detected. The contact stated while driving, the brakes engaged on the front wheels without warning. The vehicle was taken three times to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the solenoid and a recalibration were needed. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was returned to the local dealer however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact requested a buyback, but no further assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 9,900. Consumer stated vehicle has been sold.

I was pulling into a left turning lane behind another truck. Brakes failed to slow the truck. As I applied more brake the engine stopped but vehicle still moved forward at a slow speed. The ABS seemed to be trying to work as the truck "bucked" like ABS was trying to work even at this slow speed. I bumped into the truck in front of me. He only sustained a very small dent in his bumper. My truck would not start. I had to shift it in and out of park several time and it finally started. I sustained about $3000 damage my truck. The truck was put on a computer by a Ford dealer and it showed no problems.

I have had issues with the braking on my 2018 F150 V8 since owning it. The brakes never felt right and it would take a longer than normal distance to brake as well as needing extra brake pedal force to stop the vehicle. I ended upgrading the rotors and pads which helped some. Upon inspection of the brakes before upgrading, the rear pads were completely worn and the front pads appeared in newer condition. So the truck was mainly using the rear brakes to stop which explains the braking issues. Before upgrading the pads and rotors, on multiple occasions I heard and felt 'popping' when breaking. Currently I have excessive pedal travel when braking which leads to a diagnosis of a defective master cylinder. Which upon researching, there is supposedly an upcoming recall as well as lawsuits in the works as Ford knew about the defective hitachi master brake cylinders.

The emergency brake cable is rubbing against the driver's side rear spring, causing the emergency brake cable to begin rubbing through its rubber casing against the steel spring. Failure is inevitable. Three different Ford dealerships have examined the problem and indicated no repair is possible - this is the way the truck is supposed to be. I have inspected other F-150S and have not discovered the same set-up or issue. The emergency brake will eventually fail / wear through and Ford indicates this is normal.

While in motion, several items occur. It begins with following warning lights: "park brake limited function" and the "hill start assist not available". this has resulted in the cruise control not working, sudden deceleration, engine stalling, and transmission erratically shifting. This has occurred over twenty four times at highway speeds and on city streets. The vehicle has been in the shop at the dealer five times and the problem is getting worse.

The first time the acceleration on my F150 stuck, I was on a country road. I was braking on a down hill to a stop sign. I made sure I was not double peddling and then slamed down on the brake peddle. I had plenty of space before the stop sign and slamming the brake regained the control. I did not report this to my Ford dealer. I did not know that it would be an issue. Approximately 4 months later the truck did it again. This time I was backing up and had my foot on the brake peddle again. I did not have enough time or space to regain control and I struck a tree, which stopped the vehicle. It caused major damage to the tailgate, bumper, light assembly, and passenger side bed fender. I parked the truck and walked away for several hours. When my husband went to move the truck, the brake peddle sank straight to the floor, like there was a lot of brake peddle movement and no brake pressure. I do not believe the gas peddle was sticking, more like the computer was accelerating when the gas was not engaged. My Ford dealership ran diagnostics that day and it had no code issues. Ford legal retained the truck and ran diagnostics again 3 months later and again no codes. Still do not have an answer to what caused the acceleration issue. Ford said there was no issue with the braking system. I would very much like to know if there has been similar occurrences with other 2018 F150's.

The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 40 mph, the brakes failed. There were no warning indicators illuminated prior to the failure. The contact heard a pop sound while trying to bring the vehicle to a halt. The contact was able to maneuver the vehicle from the center lane to the left lane until he reached a parking lot. The contact was able to coast the vehicle until it stopped. The vehicle was towed to all american Ford (3306 bridge ave, point pleasant, NJ 08742, 732-451-3582) where it was diagnosed that the master cylinder malfunctioned and caused the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle repair was pending. The failure mileage was 37,037.

I have reported my brake pedal that goes to the floor directly to Ford's F-150 engineer. I was told my truck's brakes are normal. Today, in a business parking lot my brake pedal went to the floor and I lost the ability to stop and ran into the car in front of my parking spot. I had my kids and in-laws in the truck with me. My brakes are not close to being normal. Ford has known problems with recent model F-150 brakes. Ford will not do anything to try fix my brakes. Having random accidents with my family in the truck is unacceptable. This truck should be removed from the road at Ford's expense

Purchased F150 in March 2018, first owner of vehicle. On September 14th, 2018 the vehicle, while driving at a high speed (~65 mph) did a kick and took the vehicle out of cruise control. Immediately the dash displayed "check brake system". brakes responded what felt like normal, pulled over, turned off vehicle and inspected the truck. After a few minutes turned truck on and error message was gone. No other warning lights displayed. Vehicle functioned normally. February 15, 2019, same thing happened with "check system brakes"; but this time appeared at slower speed (~5 mph) as I was pulling into my garage. Turned off vehicle, message display disappeared, no other warning lights. Called Ford dealership and said they haven't heard of this issue and bring it in if it happens again. Seemed they didn't want to deal with me then. Today May 17th, the same incident as the first one happened again at the same speeds and location on my drive (have ~1 hour commute). However, when I applied my brakes there was ~1-2 second delay, felt a had kick and grip of the brakes. Immediately pulled over and turned off truck. Again when starting message display was gone and truck functioned normally. I will be calling my dealership today and they will be getting me in, no ifs, and or buts about it. Can contact you back after they look at vehicle. Hopefully the codes are in the system. Do have video evidence of each incident to show dealership the exact problem if codes do not appear.
