My ten speed transmission is shifting erratic and slipping. I have asked Krenzen auto dealer to please diagnose and advise about the problem. They ran codes and say nothing comes up. I requested a transmission flush and was told they don't have the tools. I afraid that this could become a safety hazzard if it gets worse.

In June we started having transmission issues. Collateral was taken to Lynch Ford in Mt. Vernon IA. When we would drive the unit the transmission would slip. The final incident was when we were driving down [XXX] at 70 Miles per hour the transmission began to slip again. We had to pull over off the side of the road as the truck went in to limp mode. We had to continue to drive to the dealer at a lower rate of speed because we could not get a tow truck to pick us up. Dealer informed us the transmission was out and needed replaced. We spent close to 8K to replace the transmission. The collateral had just turned over 100K for miles. Since installing the new transmission we continue to have transmission issue. Truck as been back to Lynch Ford for further a diagnostic. They flashed the transmission and told us to drive the unit 400 miles to see if the flash fixes the problem. We have only had the truck less than 8 months. Location Stanwood Iowa. There should be a recall on these transmissions and owners who spent money to replace the transmission should be reimbursed. The contact stated that while driving at slower speeds, the transmission was shifting roughly. The contact stated that at 50 MPH, the transmission operated normally. The contact stated that the failure was a recurring failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

There is, and has been, a consistent rattle sound from the waste gates and all I was told was that Ford knows about the issue and states that it is normal operation yet it can cause damage and reduce performance and could cause a safety issue if it fails and allows no power to be delivered especially if the failure occurs on an interstate. All I-??ve been told is the issue can be addressed with a DIY fix of adding a spring but no support from Ford is given in regards to this issue. This is documented all over the forums and is a known issue plaguing the 3.5 ecoboost f150s. The next issue is in regards to the transmission shifting roughly, jerking and sometimes lagging when trying to accelerate. Currently my truck only has 88k miles and this issue has been present since roughly 60k miles and has not been addressed even though it-??s been made known.

Within a week while driving the transmission completely failed while driving. Dealership states a new transmission is needed. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V444000 (Power Train); however, neither the VIN nor the model year was included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 93,000.

I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious transmission defect that has developed in my vehicle. The transmission exhibits repeated and worsening malfunctions, including surging, hesitation, jerking, lunging, and slipping between gears. These defects substantially impair my ability to operate the vehicle safely, create an unreasonable risk of collision, and endanger the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other motorists. This matter requires immediate attention due to the significant safety risks posed. The transmission system of the vehicle has failed and exhibits repeated malfunctions, including surging, hesitation, jerking, lunging, and slipping between gears. The vehicle and its transmission remain available for inspection upon request. The transmission failure places both the operator and the public at significant risk by causing sudden, unintended, and unpredictable vehicle movements. These malfunctions substantially impair the driver-??s ability to maintain safe control of the vehicle, creating an elevated risk of collision and endangerment to passengers, pedestrians, and other motorists. The failure was reproduced and confirmed by an authorized Ford dealership during the first week of August. The dealership initially attempted a transmission reflash procedure at a cost of $280, which failed to remedy the defect. Approximately two weeks later, following illumination of the wrench warning indicator on the dashboard, the vehicle was returned to the dealership where it was formally confirmed that the transmission is failing. (Oct 17, 2024 completed a Transmission Flush with 86,962 miles) Note: My son has a 2019 F150 as well with 77K miles and his truck is starting to have the same issues.

Transmission had a huge delay when trying to shift into 4th gear. Was trying to pull out and was almost hit by traffic because the truck would not accelerate. The truck cut power and took 5 seconds before it would shift into the next gear. This is a known issue with the CDF drum in the transmission, it is a design flaw and ford knows about this issue. This is absolutely dangerous and needs to be recalled.

My F150 constantly needs oil and seems to lag when the oil tank is low. 163000km on the engine. I've heard other 2019 f150 drivers have the same problem. It also has a hard shift after sitting for the night, it will drop gears while going uphill which seems to be from third gear to fourth but instead drops to 3rd again creating a clunk noise. It hasn't caused an accident or anything yet but from my last truck this thing definitely was not built the way it should have been. I think Ford needs to have a serious look at these trucks before someone gets hurt.

The contact stated that the vehicle came out of the ditch and into the street sideways. No injuries were sustained. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The neighbor's vehicle was condemned as a total loss. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 66,500.

The vehicle was repaired; however, weeks after the repair, the clutch was replaced. The contact was informed that a sensor in the transmission was replaced; however, a week later the vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the contact was informed that the catalytic convertor needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 137,000.

Transmission failure. Transmission problems began with the having a significant delay in shifting when cold. This resulted in a safety concern when pulling out into traffic and the vehicle would stop moving. As the problem worsened shift points got harder and the truck computer would show that it was shifting from a high gear to first gear at highway speeds. A reputable transmission shop inspected the vehicle and removed the transmission. They confirmed that a sleeve or bushing in the CDF drum had moved and disrupted oil flow to the clutch packs.
