Transmission has been horrible for a couple of years, would down shift on its on while on highway at high speeds. Also would not not allow you to accelerate randomly nearly causing numerous accidents.

Vehical shifts hard and surges forward during shifts. After sitting for a least 8 hours, the shifting will stick at 7th gear and then cycle between 1st and 7th until finally issuing a power train warning symbol (wrench). Other times it stays in 7th gear at a complete stop. This causes a slow pull out at intersections ( pulling out in 7th gear) until it slams into 3rd gear and surges forward.

My wife was driving about 40 mph and the emergency collision alarm came on causing the vehicle to abruptly try to stop. San alarm went off in the dash indicating an imminent crash causing my wife to almost lose control of the vehicle. There was no vehicle in front of us and none in the opposing lane or behind us to trigger this response. My wife speculated maybe a bird flew across in front of us but I dodn, t see that. it was very alarming and almost caused her to lose control of the vehicle. I had this happen to me driving alone at about 40 mph. The only difference, there was a vehicle in front of m E but I was not close enough to trigger this safety alarm. The vehicle in front of me was not stopped and I was not close enough to trigger this response. I was at least4 or 5 car lengths away doing 40 mph. and they were traveling about the same speed. No rapid approach issue...

The contact stated that the transmission had randomly shifted from 6th to 8th gear and from 3rd to 2nd gear unexpectedly. Additionally, while restarting the vehicle, the failure had self-corrected but the failure later reoccurred. The vehicle was examined by an independent mechanic who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 130,000.

Engine randomly ratted and sometimes sounds like a loud sewing machine when first started up. Transmission skips gears and bangs into gears. Transmission has downshifted while driving causes fear and momentary loss of control. Transmission over heats while towing my camper. Truck is rated tow my camper. Engine misses while under load. I fear I will be broke down along side the road. Trade in value for a truck that operates properly has left me with an unsafe situation and a financial loss.

10 speed transmission shifting erratically between gears sometimes delayed shifts other times hard shifts. Transmission has also went into neutral while in gear. Dealer says my vehicle isn't affected by current recalls. I'd strongly disagree. Dealer says CDF drum needs replaced likely due to CDF clutch drum bushing movement blocking flow of fluid to properly operate transmission. Dealer was asked if there is an updated part number to fix issue of bushing movement. I was told no. I asked Dealer if it was likely this could happen again and was told yes. Vehicle currently has 62,137 miles.

Truck would down shift to 1 no matter what gear I was in and jerk. It would also shake and/or stall at random times. I was almost t-boned pulling out of my of my neighborhood and it stalling. I was also close to being read ended when truck was in 5th and jumped to one going down the road.

At cruising speeds on the highway, the transmission will shift from 10th to 1st gear. This has occurred on several occasions, forcing me to pull over onto the shoulder. The transmission will then be stuck in 1st gear until I place it in Park. I sometimes have to shift from Park to Drive several times before it will proceed again. The transmission will also lag between gear shifts when accelerating from a stop. It feels like it goes into neutral and abruptly upshifts. When attempting to accelerate under normal driving conditions on the highway, there is a violent down shift. All of this causes the transmission to overheat. I cannot drive in the city under stop and go conditions for more than a short period of time before it overheats and I have to pull over. I have notified the Ford Dealership and they have confirmed my experience. They have stated this is a common issue but no recall has been issued.

My truck only has just over 60,000 miles and they said they won-??t cover it.. I seen where they have had recalls on all the year models except for the 2019. This needs to be addressed they obviously know these 10 speed transmissions are junk..

The transmission on my 2019 F-150 truck hesitates and slips out of gear. This started in 2020 and is occurring more frequently now. About 2 weeks ago I was traveling on the highway at approximately 55mph when the transmission unexpectedly seemed to slip into Neutral and the truck no longer responded to the gas peddle. I had not touched the gear at all. The vehicle began to coast and I felt I had no control of it, putting my safety at risk of a crash on the highway. Before I could attempt to pull off the highway, the transmission shifted back into drive and began to respond to me pressing the gas. In 2020 the vehicle was taken in for assessment for gear slipping and I was told nothing was wrong with it. I recently went for repairs this week and the dealership indicated that there is a likely a transmission problem, however, they are so backed up with transmission complaints that they can't get to me until mid-July. There are/were no warning lights illuminated.

I was driving 75 when it first happened. My transmission went from 10th gear and down shifted to 1st gear. Then threw my check engine light and reduced power. It got to where you can-??t even drive it bc it would shift down while you would turn into an intersection a downshift putting you in major danger of ther vehicles. so it-??s at an independent shop right now.

On [XXX] i was traveling on [XXX] coming home from Nashville, TN the cruise control was set at approx 75mph, my truck was in 10th gear. I suddenly heard a loud clunk, looked at the instrument cluster and the gear indicator showed i was in 3rd gear, I promptly pulled over and stopped to inspect for any type of damage. There was none so i proceeded to a nearby exit and gas station, put the truck in park, shut it off for a more thorough inspection. Nothing was found so i cautiously proceeded the remaining 75 miles to my home, i have not had that issue again, yet. 2019 Ford F150, 85,000 miles. One owner vehicle. This is on top of the erratic shifting and driveline vibration from the CDF clutches which ford said tough luck on getting repaired/warrantied after they announced they fixed with a redesign, but also after being told "nothing is wrong" until after the warranty has gone out.
