The transmission began having issues shifting/changing gears at the beginning of March. The gears don't engage correctly, the truck doesn't move, then all of a sudden jerks into position. Very dangerous at the start of a light or turn as the car seems to go; then all of a sudden will not shift and is just stuck in the road. Similar danger when on the highway alongside traffic and the transmission does not easily or smoothly shift, making the truck lose momentum. It is most noticeable in the lower gears. The jerking motion of the truck when it finally catches, or shifts, is quite harsh and abrupt for the truck and driver. There is clunking noise when this happens. The warning lights did not come on prior to the issue or during the initial onset of the issue. It did come on as the condition worsened. The problem is noted with other Ford owners with the same 10R80 transmission. The dealer has inspected and witnessed the issue. Suggested full replacement of the transmission with an new CDF, so the issue doesn't recur. Just outside of the 5yr powertrain( but was within the mileage) so they will not cover any of the cost. If we replace the transmission, it is only guaranteed for two years. Attached is the diagnostic report and options to repair. They have the new, improved transmission in stock.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted with the message "See Dealer" flashing on the instrument panel. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle was initially taken to a dealer and the contact was immediately referred to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer informed the contact that no assistance could be provided without a diagnostic. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed with transmission failure. The dealer referenced Technical Service Bulletin: 25-2126; however, the contact's vehicle was not included in the bulletin. The vehicle remained unrepaired with the dealer. The failure mileage was 59,260.

Bought a 2019 Ford F150 with 32,000 miles. A year later, I noticed a rattling sound coming from engine. Dealership said I had very little oil. No leaks anywhere. Dealership said I had started an oil consumption test at 10,000 miles. I informed Dealership I did not own car at those miles. Went to Dealership I bought vehicle from to inform them that they knowingly sold me a truck with known issues. Using about 1 quart every 1000 miles. Also, after Fords band-aid they put on, seems to be hesitant on acceleration. Dangerous in busy intersections. Ford refuse to fix a known issue with this vehicle.

My 2019 F150 has issues with both the cam phasers and the transmission. Every time I turn on my truck I get the ford -??cold start rattle-?? because defective parts from the factory that ford has known were defective and later fixed but for some reason my truck was not in the recall. My truck came off the same assembly line and time period of previous CSP or recall programs but my vin was never included. My truck also has 60,000 miles and the 10 speed transmission clunks all the time. I-??m not sure if it-??s missing shifts or what is breaking but everyone with a f150 around this year knows they are common to have transmission issues. Sometimes my truck doesn-??t find the proper gear getting started and will rev high and barely move until it finally gets shift right and gets moving. These 2019 F150 issues are far too common i see them all across the blogs and internet and know a few other owners who have similar issues.

My Ford F-150 with 5.0 V8, 10-speed automatic transmission, and only 46k miles has been diagnosed by my Ford Service Dept. (Angela Krause Ford in Alpharetta, GA) with the known 10R80 10-speed transmission issue (completely destroyed transmission and drum) and I now must receive a new one. This issue started around 43k miles, but I had no idea of the transmission design flaw that exists. While driving this Memorial Day Weekend (2025) from Atlanta to VA with my wife and twin girls, we were nearly rear ended by a tractor trailer because the transmission would not let me speed up for several seconds. It wasn-??t able to select a gear. When it finally did, the tractor trailer was up to my rear bumper. This was extremely scary and could have been life threatening. There must be a recall issued for this flawed Ford transmission that is in F-150s, Explorers, etc. built before 2022. For owners of Fords that are out of warranty and are expected to pay for this repair is unacceptable. This will financially ruin many people and worse, will lead to a death or more at some point. I beg you to research and do something about this. Thank you.

While driving at highway speeds the transmission goes into neutral or downshifts dramatically on its own. My investigation online reveals that this is a common phenomenon with this model and year and I-??m shocked there isn-??t a recall for this safety issue because of the danger from losing control of the vehicle at highway speed. The information revealed that some vehicles can be repaired with a software update and many require a complete transmission replacement. Please investigate.

Ford has a current recall on their 10R80 transmission, but not all of the vehicles that have this transmission and are experiencing these problems are included? Our vehicle that has this 10R80 transmission is experiencing the same symptoms as explained in Ford's recall but our vin number is not included on their recall list. Our safety is put at risk because it is shifting hard and falls into neutral just as Ford explains in their recall. The vehicle has not been inspected yet because I have been waiting for Ford to notify us of their recall, which they haven't done yet. There has been no warning lamps on concerning this 10R80 transmission issue, but Ford does need to address it on all the vehicles that are experiencing the problems they list in their recall. Please help. Thanks!

We have a 2019 Ford F150 with the 10R80 transmission which gave out on the freeway, it was doing a hard knock when shifting and would make a clicking noise at start up. Heading north on I25, the truck sputtered and you could see white smoke coming out the back end. We were towing a 7x10 trailer and it had fluid spewed all over it. It lost power so we had to pull to the side of the freeway and wait to be towed. There was a lot of fluid leaking from under the truck as well. Had it towed to a shop and they were stumped about what it could be. Had it towed to another shop but a transmission shop and they stated it needed a new transmission, we have the go ahead, and after replacing it, we picked it up and headed home. About a half hour later, the new transmission gave out, the key symbol popped up and it shuddered. Had to have it towed back to the transmission shop. They were stumped as to what happened. We were told they had to consult a national transmission shop and that Ford did not want to replace it with another transmission. The transmissions and engines on these 2019 Ford F150s we have as company vehicles are prone to so many issues that are costly. We have three 2019 F150s, one 2023 F150. So far on one of the 2019, we have had to replace a transmission and engine. The other one had the transmission replaced. The third one is on its way out, there is a rattling sound it makes when it is on its way to failing. How are there so many documentations and Ford is not willing to recall them" Or even meet halfway to repairing them when it is obviously a manufacture defect? A Ford problem" Attached are the receipts showing how much money we dumped into this truck. Mind you, we had the engine replaced in this one too :(
