While driving down a busy road my wrench light appeared on my dash and made a dinging noise. As soon as I saw/heard that I could hear a faint ticking noise. Soon after, my engine quit running and I was stalled out in the middle of a lane on a busy road. I was unable to start my vehicle after that. My engine had seized. There was no prior check engine lights or anything. I had only owned the truck 1 year and 4 months and had put 13,000 miles on it. Always kept good maintenance and there was no prior indications that there was something major wrong

Hard shifting ! not up shifting or down shifting or it will go from 10th to 1st gear on the hwy causing loss of power, I had 2 semi trucks right behind me almost causing an accident, when stoping at a red light or stop sign it does not want to go forward trying to start in a higher gear, and causing me to be stuck in the intersection with on coming traffick. It is lounging forward on its own, it causes the RPM to red line when you are not accelorating even after you have taken your foot off the gas and are applying the brake. It is skiping gears it will go from 1 to 7th to 10th back down to 1st all within a matter of seconds, it will down shift or up shift and jump so hard that it hurts my back and makes everyone in the truck sore feeling like you got whiplash. I did take the truck to the dealership when it first started clanking hard when I put it in drive or reverse the dealership told me it was normal for that transmission and wouldnt even look at it. Since then it has only gotten worse I have reached out to serval other dealerships and explained the issues they have all told me there is no fix for this issue. They are getting so many reports for the same issue, and Ford has not found a fix for the issue. When this first started there were no wornings and no lights on the dash, now I am getting nottifications on the Ford app and there has been a wrench light ththat comes on the dash periodicly. Currently the truck is at the dealership for a full transmission rebuild suggusted by them. Costing almost $6000 and acourding to them this is the only fix for it at this time. The clutch basket has failed sending improper fluid pressure though out the transmission.

The vehicle was purchased brand new from a Ford dealership in 2019 in Virgina. Later, a service bulletin was released by Ford for a "cold start rattle" and cam phaser failure through the ford pass app and by mail. This service bulletin extended the warranty on the cam phaser parts to cover up to 100% of the cost to fix the vehicle. At that time, due to being a military family we had moved to Florida and never received the service bulletin in the mail. After reviewing the service bulletin for the vehicle on the ford pass app, it was taken to a Ford dealership in Miami to be inspected. The Ford Miami dealership did not think there was a cam phaser issue with the vehicle at that time and refused to fix vehicle. Ultimately, the vehicle was taken back to a Ford dealership in Ohio to have it reinspected for the same issue (The cold start rattle/Cam Phaser). The Ford Dealership assessed the vehicle and stated, it in fact has the known issues with the Cam Phaser failure. The vehicle is under the mileage for the service bulletin. However, Ford is unwilling to fix the vehicle due to exceeding the date of the service bulletin. This issue puts my safety and others on the road at risk, because if the cam phaser is not fixed the motor of the vehicle will fail and could potentially cause serious injury or death. The vehicle is not safe to drive at this time. This problem has been confirmed by a Ford Dealership and the vehicle is currently sitting at the dealership awaiting to be fixed. There are no warning lights on the vehicle for this issue.

Cam phasers in engine have failed for the second time. Potential safety issue is if not repaired, could lead to catastrophic, unexpected engine failure as the cam phaser is part of the engine timing system. Prolonged driving with this issue would inevitably cause major mechanical problems which could possibly lock the engine up while driving. This would obviously be a safety issue while traveling down crowded interstates at posted speeds in any metropolitan area. Vehicle is currently at the dealer again and the problem has been confirmed. Vehicle is out of warranty at this point and the repair is over $4,500. This price will ultimately lead to many people electing to take the chance instead of pay to fix this known issue with this truck. It is a very expensive repair for a vehicle to have twice under 100K miles. There are no warnings or codes associated with this problem. The beginning stages of this problem start with a loud rattle on a cold start. I have not let this issue persist due to safety concerns of my family being in the vehicle with me. I have elected to spend the enormous amount of money to repair this issue again and hopefully when I am able, I will purchase a different vehicle.

While driving 65mph on I-495 on a +90 degree day in August my 2019 Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4, the horn of the F-150 beeped. It beeped again a couple more times then the F-150 powered down forcing me to coast through some lanes of traffic to reach the break down lane. ABS and maintenance due light were both illuminated. My code reader said a switch was shorted so I cleared codes to retest. I restarted the truck and after re-boott was able to drive the vehicle home. Not associated with this enroute power failure incident, I notice intermittent rough idle issues, a tail gate that opens by itself 24/7 with alarm and it is now normal for this F-150 to burn 3-4 quarts of extra oil between each oil change.

When my truck hit about 60,000 - 65,000 miles it started to jump into gear sometimes. It didn't feel right. It was at a low RPMs when starting to accelerate. I was planning on taking it to the dealership to have a look at it, but several months had gone by before I had an opportunity to do so. I then noticed a clanking upon a cold start. It sounded like a loose muffler. So I planned a trip to have both of these issues looked at. The Ford Dealer Service Manager told me that the cam phasers and transmission needed to be replaced. How can a vehicle with only 65,000 miles on it need almost $20,000 in repairs"?"!!! I went ahead and authorized the cam phaser job because I didn't realize how costly it actually was, I misunderstood the service manager. But I will not be fixing the transmission unless ford does a courtesy replacement, or a recall. I will otherwise wait until this transmission leaves me stranded on the side of the road to be raped and murdered. Everyone with this transmission is having issues. There is a class action lawsuit starting over it. I am now reading hundreds of on line complaints and watching a ridiculous amount of videos of these failures in Fords transmission and the cam phasers. Please help me. I cannot afford $20,000 in repairs and I bought a new vehicle so that I could be rest assured not to have any major repair needed so soon in its life span. I don't have the invoices yet, the Ford Dealer still has my truck in the shop.

Currently Suffering from a manufacturing defect per diagnosis from Ford technician in my 2019 F150 with the 10-speed transmission. I was advised by Ford to submit the form since I must pay for the repair and updated components to fix the issue and would be reimbursed once the recall was issues. Ford has issued a new technical service bulletin (TSB 24-2046) and re-engineered the CDF drum and housing to correct the issue. Below is a list of symptoms I-??ve been experiencing along with others from 2017 -?" 2023: Wrench light is on Clunking or banging noise when starting the engine Rough, harsh or erratic shifting Hesitation between gears Gear slipping Gear getting stuck while shifting Jerking or lunging Loss of power while driving
