Cam shaft error codes came up and I took to the dealership. They said the cam shafts needed to be replaced and engine inspected for damage. I have attached an image of the invoice. I have seen that a lot of F150s are having cam shaft failure, so I think it is a large issue with their design.

Reporting this same incident type again. My truck continues to sporadically shutoff while operating the vehicle. My truck has shutoff while driving twice in the past 2 months. Under normal driving conditions I can be driving and suddenly the engine will shutoff and I lose all power and power steering. The latest episode I was turning right with traffic approaching behind with my kids in the truck as well. The error on the dash is the same every time -??Auto StartStop Manual Restart Required-??. I have to come to a complete stop and put the truck in park to be able to restart. Having to stop on a very busy road to restart is a major safety issue and I believe this truck will end up hurting myself or others. I have had the truck into ford more than once and they claim there is no problem even though I show pictures and video. I contacted ford directly again and they really don-??t seem to care very much, from what I can tell they refuse to acknowledge I have a problem with the truck. Please help me.

Check engine light came on after loud rattle began occurring on acceleration. Took it to dealer who found oil to be 7.9 qts (capacity 8 qt)low since last oil change, less than 5000 miles earlier. Ford has known about this issue on their v8s since 2018 and switched out low oil indicator to conceal problem. Oil loss can cause engine seizure which is dangerous.

While driving, the vehicle shut off and displayed a warning on the dash cluster stating that the engine had automatically shut off. It said auto-stop-start was deactivated and that I needed to put the truck in park and then turn the vehicle off and back on to restart. My check engine light came on. Vehicle would not operate. Checked oil and it was down over 5 quarts of oil but I still had 2,000 miles until oil change was needed. Took to Hiller Ford with excessive oil consumption complaint. New oil dipstick, oil plug, oil change, and reprogrammed PCM. Returned at later date with same issue. Was told to monitor oil levels and sent on my way. Returned to Hiller at a later date with even faster consumption than earlier visits. Was told I had to pay for oil change and come back in 2,000 miles. At 1,000 miles engine sounded rough so I returned to Hiller Ford who agreed the oil was low. They topped off oil abs told me to come back in another 1,000 miles. 500 miles later I checked oil and barely appeared on the dipstick. I returned to Hiller Ford who agreed my truck was consuming oil faster than it should per Ford specs. Hiller kept my vehicle and ran compression test and then scoped my motor to observe damages. Hiller said that I needed a new motor and it falls under warranty and has been approved by Ford. They then followed up with the new motor would not be available for 18 months. I was told that no rental reimbursement allowance and that I'd have to operate my non conformity vehicle for 18 months. Operating this vehicle is unsafe and is prone to cause damage to other components of the vehicle. Engine could over heat causing its to seize or even start on fire. The increased emissions are not only bad for the environment but would decrease fuel efficiency and be very costly having to add a quart of oil every 500 miles.

while I was driving, all of a sudden I noticed no power was going to the engine, I pushed on the gas pedal and nothing happened. The truck stalled, I quickly pull over to a safe spot, and turn the engine off. Dash had lit up with "Auto Startstop feature needing me to put the truck in park and restart the engine" scary as it lost power while driving which thankfully I was able to pull over to a safe spot.

I purchased my 2020 f150 5.0 4x4 in July 2022, I noticed the transmission having a slight change in shifting that that car salesman reassured me that it-??s common with this year and model I took his word for it. Since than the truck and the shifting has gotten gradually worse from shifting to drive and into reverse the truck has slammed into gear on 3 occasions, up shift rough as well as down shift. My 2004 f150 has smoother gears and shifted with ease. I-??ve contacted Omeara Ford of Thornton, Co where I purchased the truck from and there saying that they would need to get the truck into do a diagnostic and that their 3 months out. This doesn-??t sit with me well as I-??ve purchased the power train warranty and service contract and now if my truck brakes down I-??m responsible?! I need to feel that my 50k truck is going to last and do what I need to do in order to make a living for myself and my family these 10 speed transmission need to be replaced in all the f150 newer models I am looking into the class action lawsuit

Vehicle was started after sitting for 24 hrs. Turned off the start/stop function and proceeded. Less than a mile into the trip, I attempted a right hand turn. Slowed, made the turn and went to accelerate. The engine stalled. Dash error notice stated "Auto Start/Stop Shift to P, then Restart Engine." Came to a complete stop and restarted. Thankfully, no one was behind me at the time and I wasn't pulling into a stream of traffic. Took to dealer approximately 10 days later. They checked for DTC's. None were found, could not verify customer concern. Service advisor stated he had other complaints of the same malfunction, however no info or TSB's available to fix the problem.
