In February a service engine light came on catalytic convertor. Tried to get in for service but had to wait a month. On [XXX] we had a UNINTENDED ACCELERATION INCIDENT. I was creeping up to a stop light and as the truck came up to a stop it accelerated at a high rate into the intersection. I held the brake as hard as I could but truck continued accelerating. The back tires spun and squealed like I was burning rubber. I jammed the truck out of drive and into neutral to make it stop. Fortunately there was no oncoming traffic or this could have been disastrous. After this the check engine light went off but we continued to have issues with the truck. There's Been surges/jolts when it seems to be shifting gears. This incident has caused us to be worried for our safety as well as passengers, pedestrians and other drivers on the road. I have no idea what caused it. I've done some research since and have found that there's been problems with their 10R80 transmission. Rusty Eck Ford has said they can't fix it because they cannot duplicate the problem. Also asked Rusty Eck if they were going to report the problem to Ford and the service specialist said they didn't intend to but we could. Same from another dealer. This is unacceptable. It's like playing Russian Roulette every time we drive it. So sad. Right now in the shop again. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

On or about April 2024, the "check engine" light came on in my 2020 Ford F-150. My vehicle was just becoming due for re-registration. I had the code for the check engine light checked at my parts dealer and double checked at the maintenance facility I was having services done. The check engine code was for the catalytic converter. I had the catalytic converter and O2 sensors replaced at my service provider, the check engine light was extinguished and the codes had been removed, the vehicle emissions no longer reported on the service/inspection station and the vehicle passed the emissions/safety check for re-registration. In less than one month, the check engine light came on again, with the exact same codes that identify the catalytic converter failing. Both the parts dealer and the service provider tell me that it's impossible. Further checking by the service provider with Ford motor Company service center have told my service provider that my vehicle needs to have the onboard computer system erased and re-installed at my cost because only Ford has the program to do it at their service centers exclusively. This problem seems to be appearing with other Ford vehicles of the same year and engine size. I personally stood in line behind another man who was reporting a problem with his vehicle with the check engine light. Jokingly, I made the comment, "It must be a Ford" and he turned around and asked me "How did you know?" His vehicle is a 2020 Ford van that was parked outside next to my truck. It also has a 5.0 liter V8. Currently, I am awaiting an appointment at either Casa Ford or Visa Ford, the earliest opportunity for them to reprogram the onboard computer system.

I took my truck in because of a check engine light and an occasional strange noise. They ran an EEC test and the code was P0390. My F150 was 5 quarts of oil low, even though it has been changed within a few thousand miles. The dealer's garage said they did a PCM update and added the oil. Discussing this with Ford's Customer Relations Rep they suggested I start a file with you, in case there is ever a recall. There is a bulletin related to my issue; #19-2365

1. The start/stop function will not restart at some long stop lights. I have to restart the vehicle. 2. The wiper will come on without being turned on. 3. Since new it has used 3qts of oil every 5000 miles. It has been to two different Ford shops and they say there is nothing wrong with it and refuse to do anything with it. A new engine should not be using oil. I've been a mechanic for over 50 years. No engine that I ever built used oil. This is unacceptable

I've owned this F150 truck since 2020, purchasing it on Memorial Day. However, every year, I've experienced two to three instances where the car suddenly cuts off in the middle of a traffic light, accompanied by a yellow warning sign on the screen. I suspect it has something to do with the Auto Start-Stop technology. The most recent incident (1 month ago) while I was driving toward a traffic light direction that was turning red. I gradually slowed down until I came to a complete stop. When I lifted my foot off the brake pedal, the car simply shut off. This issue has become increasingly concerning, especially since it can occur in unpredictable situations. I'm hoping someone can provide some insight into the cause of this problem and suggest a solution.

The computer system would set off all the alarms and shut down truck. Yes i think it can be inspected. My safety was at risk when truck would shut down traveling down the road at highway speeds and losing power brakes, power steering overall control, and this would happen when raining and wet slushy conditions on the road way. Yes No not to my knowledge. Yes all the alarms would go off and a second later vehicle would shut down. It was always during wet conditions, sometimes alarms would all go off and truck would stay running i would pull over to side of road and alarms would go away i believe after drying out?

Cam shaft error codes came up and I took to the dealership. They said the cam shafts needed to be replaced and engine inspected for damage. I have attached an image of the invoice. I have seen that a lot of F150s are having cam shaft failure, so I think it is a large issue with their design.

Reporting this same incident type again. My truck continues to sporadically shutoff while operating the vehicle. My truck has shutoff while driving twice in the past 2 months. Under normal driving conditions I can be driving and suddenly the engine will shutoff and I lose all power and power steering. The latest episode I was turning right with traffic approaching behind with my kids in the truck as well. The error on the dash is the same every time -??Auto StartStop Manual Restart Required-??. I have to come to a complete stop and put the truck in park to be able to restart. Having to stop on a very busy road to restart is a major safety issue and I believe this truck will end up hurting myself or others. I have had the truck into ford more than once and they claim there is no problem even though I show pictures and video. I contacted ford directly again and they really don-??t seem to care very much, from what I can tell they refuse to acknowledge I have a problem with the truck. Please help me.

Check engine light came on after loud rattle began occurring on acceleration. Took it to dealer who found oil to be 7.9 qts (capacity 8 qt)low since last oil change, less than 5000 miles earlier. Ford has known about this issue on their v8s since 2018 and switched out low oil indicator to conceal problem. Oil loss can cause engine seizure which is dangerous.
