Vehicle has stock tires and suspension with 43,000 miles. At approximately 60-65 mph the front steering begins to thrash and ocilate violently causing the truck to become uncontrollable until slowed down to 35 mph.

Now has 20000 miles on it and has become unsafe to drive. The shaking happens quite often now. Even going slower on side roads, all it takes is hitting a small bump in the road apparently this has become a nationwide problem. The dealership agreed to fix it under warranty. I have a 2018 Ford F250 at about 4450 miles had this death wobble happen on the freeway. Had no load and was doing about 80mph, just passed another vehicle as I was pulling in front of it I hit a pot hole and the death wobble started. Steering death wobble at highway speeds !!!!! Ford has known about this issue for over ten years. Why is this issue still not being addressed" I seems that Ford is leaving it up to the customer to resolve. I guess I'm the the dummy for trusting that Ford has safety in mind when the F250 was put into production with a know safety steering problem. There is a fix according to the internet but Ford continues to fail their customer by not providing the solution at no cost. How many people had to die before Ford decides to recall" I paid over 70K for the truck and it is very scary to drive. Not knowing when the next time the front wheels are going to start the (death wobble). Ford please resolve !!!!!

"death wobble" while traveling at interstate speeds you hit a small bump and the truck with go into an uncontrollable wobble and have to slow speeds down to 45 mph to correct itself, slamming on the brake (which is first reaction) makes it worse

Between 60 to 75 mph when hitting certain bumps the steering starts violently shaking and will not stop till slow down to about 25 mph. This started at around 24K and has happened 10+ times. Also at 37K sync 3 radio no longer will come on and wiring issues cannot get trailer braking to connect to the truck. Lights work fine but always shows trailer disconnected so braking doesn't work. You can also start the truck in neutral and put it in any gear without having your foot on the brake.

Experienced steering wheel oscillation (death wobble) this has occured while driving on the interstate after driving over an uneven pavement at speeds of 55, 65 and 70mph. The steering wheel shakes violently and lost steering and braking capabilities during the event. It stopped after I decelerated to about 40mph forth until I slowed to approximately 35mph. Ford does have a tsb out on the issue but they are only replacing parts that have worn out, not the hidden issue that is causing heavy duty suspension parts to wear out so quickly.

At 65 mph when encountering rough expansion joints, potholes, or other bumps the truck will go into what is commonly called death wobble. The front end shakes very violently back and forth. Steering is impossible, it will wrench the steering wheel out of my hands. I had to slow down to 35 mph to make it stop. I was passing someone and couldn't complete the pass. If the road had been curved at all I would have gone into a very steep ditch.

At approximating 12161 miles on my truck, it is less than a year old, my F250 the vehicle exhibited (4-5 times) a violent oscillating or shaking of the entire truck when going over a bump in the pavement or over the expansion joint of a bridge. I have nearly lost control of the vehicle (4-5 times). My course of action is to take my foot off of the gas, slow down, safely pull to the shoulder of the road, slow down to 5mph, and then I can continue on. The shaking is so violent I thought the truck / I was going to flip over because of lack of steering.

While driving on the interstate, at 70 mph (posted speed limit) experienced extreme vibration/wobble in the steering wheel and tires after driven over slight rough patch on the highway. It was extremely hard to maintain control of the truck to get it to the shoulder of the highway through traffic. Vibration was apparently visible to onlookers, as several drivers motioned for me to pull over. Truck was bought brand new, six months ago, and only has 16K miles. Truck is stock, no modifications have been done on the truck. Vibration/wobble occurred several more times so we exited highway and returned home via backroads (posted speeds of 55 mph or less) without further incident.

At 7909 miles since new the vehicle exhibited a violent oscillation of the steering wheel coupled with enormous shaking in the front suspension, induced instantly after crossing a bridge transition on an interstate highway at approximately 65 mph. I nearly lost control of the vehicle and was forced to stop the vehicle on the road shoulder to get it to stop the oscillation. The shaking was so violent it also cracked the rear half of the dual panel sunroof glass.

I was driving down I-10 going East on I-10 and crossed the bridge at the Alabama/Florida line. I was changing lanes while going across the bridge and hit a bump. The front end of the vehicle started violently shaking. The steering wheel was also violently shaking. I had no control of the vehicle and it shook until my speed dropped below 45 mph which took about 20 to 30 seconds. I felt that if I had hit the brakes, that the front wheel would have sheared right off the axles. This was the most frightening situation I have ever experienced in a vehicle. I have kept the speeds below 50 since the incident and I do not feel safe in the vehicle.

Hit bump on highway and vehicle starts shaking out of control. This has happened over 5 times now. Ford would only replace steering dampener. It did it again after being in shop for 3 days. This is very dangerous and can only stop the shaking by slowing to a stop in the middle of the road as it is almost impossible to steer. From researching online, this is an ongoing problem referred to as the "death wobble". Ford refuses to look further into the suspension and steering components and claims everything is fine and it was the tire air pressure. The air pressure was to specs. And still did it.

Was going around 80 mph on the interstate this morning and came upon a bridge approach and when I hit the bridge approach I got the 'death wobble'. this happened as I was passing someone the only thing I could do is squeeze tight and slow down to pull over.
