Truck has 16,000 miles on it. Purchased new from dealer. Within 1,000 miles experienced random front end shake, was occasional on rough road. Recently it occurred in one weekend 6 times. All on different interstate roads between Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Shook so hard and violently both fog lights cracked on the truck including one of the fog light mounts. Happens on any road. Happens any speed above 45mph. Concrete roads are the worst and bridge joints. Truck now looses grip when driving over bumps. Feels like on ice. Ciocca Ford will not warranty broken parts such as fog lights and one mount. They will not correct alignment issue due to steering stability issue aka death wobble. Truck now pulls to the right. Truck does not feel safe to drive with my children in it, especially in the snow season knowing any bump could set it off. I have tried all different air pressures still get death wobble. Still breaks truck traction on bumps. This wobble occurs even on secondary roads. The wobble causes steering wheel to shake back and forth 3-4 inches. The entire front of the truck vibrates and shakes. The wobble won't stop until speed is dropped below 35mph. This shake will cause loss of steering and control in any weather condition. When it occurs you have all you can do to hold the steering wheel, there is no turning ability when this occurs. The steering stabilizer is often quoted as the issue for this. I believe from my experience and research the shocks are also not adequate from the loss of traction steering. Steering linkage is also weak. Ford has a reengineered solution, however unknown availability. This truck is now a safety hazard to myself and others, and ciocca Ford is not offering a solution for the safety concern.

1st incident 2/10/2019, when the vehicle hit a bump in road the truck steering would shake and cause vehicle to bounce to the right uncontrollable, vehicle in shop 2/12/19 to replace steering strut. Vehicle mileage 10,699 on 11/15/2019 a trip from md to ky, travel approximately 72 mph and about 5 hours in trip, the vehicle hit a small bump in road on highway 79, the vehicle front began to shake violently and pull the truck to the right uncontrollable. I manage to maintain control and slow vehicle down at approximately 10 mph on the should the shaking stopped. Contact dealer the same day and have an appointment on 12/2/19 to review. The vehicle steering shake when driving at speeds about 40 mph and will began shaking again when hitting a bump in road. Vehicle mileage is 25210.

While traveling on I-74 at 70mph we hit a road expansion joint (slight bump) on a bridge and the truck began to shake and wobble to the point I almost lost control and hit the bridge railing, I hit my brakes to try and control the vehicle when I was almost hit by a semi truck. I pulled off the interstate and stopped. I could find nothing wrong and continued on and again when I was doing 65mph I almost lost control of the truck when we hit another expansion. It shook so bad it almost pulled the steering wheel out of my hands. I got off to the side again almost causing a traffic crash. I fully stopped and then slowly drove off of the interstate and drove home on a secondary road and it was fine until I was on Indiana 63 / us 41 I got the truck to 60 mph and it again shook violently when we hit a slight bump of an expansion joint. I am taking it to the shop tomorrow morning. I never knew this was a problem U til I looked this up on google. How can Ford continue to sell these trucks with a know safety defect and NHTSA does nothing to warn us.

When driving at speeds between 45 and 65 the steering wheel will start shaking side to side violently. I have had the truck for about a month and it has happened 4 times. It shakes so bad you almost lose control. The only way to get it to stop is to slow way down, to approximately 15 mph or stop completely. This is pretty convenient when your on the interstate. Ford needs to offer a repair before someone dies!

This truck had death wobble at 17K miles, Ford replaced the steering stabilizer, wobble is back at 40K miles and we have to buy another stabilizer out of pocket. This is one of several 17-19 F250S we own that has had death wobble. Ford needs to step up with the recall.

My 2018 F-250 Super Duty (purchased new) developed death wobble at 21,700 miles. While driving at freeway speeds (55 to 70 mph) after hitting a small sharp bump, the truck began to shake violently requiring me to rapidly decrease speed and come to a complete stop on the side of the freeway. I immediately contacted Ford. The dealership told me the parts were on back order. I returned to the dealer once they received the part. Dealership replaced the steering damper and the issue went away. At around 39,000 miles the issue appeared again, this time worse than before. On a business trip from wausau to milwaukee and back the vehicle began to shake violently 5 separate times on the same day. Each time the only way to regain control of the vehicle was to pull to the shoulder and come to a complete stop. I again immediately called the for dealer and have an appointment today. Abrupt bumps in the road, rough road, bridge seams all seem to make the F-250 shake to the point of almost loosing control of the vehicle. If I was pulling my camper, trailer or if road conditions were poor I am sure this would have ended in a horrible accident. I live in central wi and the winter season is just beginning. If the truck were to do this on an ice or snow covered road chances of getting it back under control would be impossible and could result in death or serious injury.

Bought vehicle on 4/16/19 used with 22,0000 miles. Returned to dealership where it was purchased on 4/23/16 due to 'death wobble' for repairs. The damper assembly was repaired. Returned truck to dealership again on 10/23/19 for repairs due to 'death wobble' again. Steering stabilizer had dead spot so new steering stabilizer installed. 11/1/19. 'death wobble' returns and is worse. Returned to dealership for further diagnostic testing on 11/20/19. Can not find anything wrong..all death wobble occurrences happened in motion on highway at speeds between 51 mph and 70 mph, death wobble will resolve only with greatly reduced speeds. This vehicle is unsafe to drive due to the violent front end shaking.

Truck does death wobble aka shakes violently after hitting bumps in the road. Yesterday driving to pick up our son from school going down the interstate at 65 miles per hour in between an 18 wheeler and a school bus I nearly lost control of the truck when this began so badly it ripped the steering wheel out of my hands. Not the first time but by far the scariest

At highway speeds over 60mph, upon hitting a rough spot on the road, heavy road expansion joint or sometime under light braking. The truck steering wheel will oscillate strongly for a few seconds then will subside. This has happened several times. I have told my dealership and they told me that there might be a recall coming but they don't have any parts to fix the problem. That is not acceptable, this could get someone injured or worse.

On 3 occasions (the first 2/17/2019 at about 35,000 miles), we experienced what we have come to know as "death wobble" on our 2018 Ford F250. We had purchased the truck used with 33,000 miles. We do not know if the prior owner had experienced this same problem. We were driving straight down the interstate at night at approx. 65 mph. I was driving and hit a bump in the highway. Immediately, the truck was shaking violently, I was pulled all the way from the right lane over into the left lane. I had absolutely no control over the steering. My first thought was that we were experiencing a tire "blow out". when the truck finally slowed enough to stop the shaking and I could once again steer, we pulled onto the shoulder to check our tires. There were no tire issues. It was absolutely terrifying. Thankfully, it was on Sunday night without much traffic. Had there been a semi truck the left lane, we would likely have been killed. If there had been a small car in the left lane, we may very well have killed or injured passengers. When we got to our destination in fl, we took the truck to the dealer to have it checked. The dealer did not find any cause or problem and told us it was likely a problem with the trailer we were pulling. We were skeptical, but continued driving the truck. On our return trip when my husband was driving, we once again experienced the violent shaking. He was able to slow down and get control of the steering without a crash. Soon after we returned home, we took the truck to the dealer where we had purchased the truck. They replaced the steering dampener. Although, the tires continued to wear very unevenly, we didn't experience another incident until October, 2019. Steering dampener replaced. It is going back to the dealer this week. I urge action before someone is killed. The death wobble is a present and urgent problem!

When driving at speeds of more than about 30 mph, and hit a bump, the trucks steering starts to shake violently. It is very difficult to maintain your lane when this is happening. In addition the brakes have to be applied rather rapidly to stop the wheels from shaking. The truck has 22,000 miles on it with no modifications.

25K miles and when I hit a bump in the road the front end shakes violently. Ford replaced a steering stabilizer identified as the "fix". 1K miles later the violent shaking is back. I have scheduled an appointment next week but no additional fix has been identified. I fear that replacing parts will only delay the issue until it is out of warranty. Help!

At 12pm 11/14/2019, my truck began to shake violently at 70 mph after hitting a bump at a bridge junction. Scared me badly and I immediately decelerated and the violent shaking stopped at about 40 mph. I didn't know if I blew a tire, hit something, the engine was about to fall out of the truck or what! I did some research online and found that my truck had what is known as the "death wobble". today the exact same death wobble issue occurred at the exact same place in the road. I have a call in to the dealership to determine how this can be repaired. My truck is only at 39K miles and was purchased brand new in Jan 2018.
