I'm am reporting the famous death wobble. When I talked to my for rep he said it was a known problem but Ford has not done anything to fix it. This happened at 55 mph and was so extreme I thought my vehicle's wheels were going to fall off. Fortunately I was able to get off the road safely but this is a huge problem that is all I've got forums. Please help Ford fix this problem.

If you go over 60 mph and hit a bump or sometimes don't even have to hit a bump the whole truck and steering wheel wobbles out of control. Obviously they know about it as there is a nick name "the death wobble" for it. I took my truck in and now they want me to pay close to $800 to repair it when it is clearly a manufacturing defect that Ford has known about and has tried to conceal. There is a class action lawsuit started in California. Ford should be made to recall there F250 and F350's to do the repairs at no cost to the customer. We paid a lot of money for this vehicle. They say its ok just don't drive over 60 mph. It is very scary when it happens

Truck becomes unable to control going into a full death wobble when hitting a bump in the road, pot hole, rough patch, bridge transfer joint. Had a tsb on the steering stabilizer to be replaced at 14K miles. Had death wobble start occuring again at 21K, doesn't matter if its a straight patch of road or curve. Any bump when traveling over about 40mph puts the truck into an immediate death wobble.

Truck develops serious wobble in the front end/steering and only way to correct is to slow down 15 mph or more. This has happened on 3 occasions and I took it to the local dealer and they said the steering damper was bad and replaced it. It has happened twice since that time. The vehicle is in stock condition, save for the replacement steering damper (which I assume is oem since it was done at the Ford dealership) and still has the original original tires.

I hit a rough patch of road at 55 mph on a 2 lane and the steering wheel was jerked out of my hands and the truck violently started shaking and bouncing veering into oncoming traffic pulling left towards a semi. I hit the brakes and turned the wheel to the right as hard as I could only turning right slightly enough to miss the truck. I pulled over and inspected the wheels and everything looked fine. I drove away cautiously and you couldn't tell anything ever happened. Called dealer he said oh yea death wobble. Nice to know they already know about it. An older or weaker person would be dead along with on coming driver/passengers. Scared to drive my $70K truck!!

Problem is what is know as "death wobble" where you loose control of steering because both front wheels are shaking violently, hitting brakes makes it worse, vehicle has to slow down drastically to get shaking to stop. It happens when you hit uneven pavement or bumps in road.I have had it happen at speeds of 50 to 70 plus miles per hour. My truck is stock from dealer with no upgrades or changes. Ford has only replaced the steering damper which went bad again after about 4000 miles. There are alot of other truck owners that have experienced the same issue and Ford doesnt seem to have or offer a real fix for the issue. When this occurs it is causing additional wear and tear on other front end steering control components. This issue needs to be looked into further before someone gets badly hurt or killed. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. If any additional detail or information is needed please let me know. I have several witnesses when this issue happend.

While driving on the interstate running 68 mph I crossed a straight bridge and encountered a severe vibration/loss of control coming from my front suspension. After hitting a slight bump at the beginning of the bridge the vibration was so severe and would not stop until I slowed the truck to 20mph. I was forced to use both lanes to slow the truck down without wrecking. This seems to be a common condition that some people refer to as the 'death wobble'. vehicle has 30K miles and was purchased new by me and has never been wrecked. Suspension and tires are 100% stock.

While traveling around 45 to 50 mph on a two lane road going around a slight curve to the left the truck hit a rough patch in the road and the front wheels started oscillating up and down causing me to lose any control of the steering wheel. I could barely hold on to the steering wheel because it was shaking so violently until I had slowed almost to a stop. I then pulled off the road and examined the front end of the truck and did not find anything out of the ordinary nothing was broke or lose that I could find. The incident was very unnerving and I now am very apprehensive and do not trust this vehicle.

My 2018 F250 has had a death wobble when at speeds over 60 mph. When the truck hits any bumps in the road the front end shakes so bad you have to slam on the brakes and pull of the road to get it to stop.

While driving at 65 mph I encountered a pot-hole and my steering wheel begin to shake violently! I was unable to steer the truck and crossed three lanes before I could get stopped. Fortunately I did not hit another vehicle or the barrier in the median. I reported the issue to West point Ford, in West point va, and took the truck to them. They returned the truck to me a few days later claiming that they could not find anything wrong. I had a second incident when I struck a patch of asphalt used to repair a pothole, and again the steering wheel started to shake uncontrollably and I was forced to stop in the middle of the road. I returned the truck to West point Ford where it stayed for over a week. They claimed to have made a repair to the steering dampener and told me that the problem was fixed. I had a third incident yesterday evening. I will be returning the truck to a Ford dealer once again.

While driving, a bump to the suspension causes the suspension/ to bounce or death wobble (as we have seen in the Jeep world). This has occurred/ multiple times at speeds from 45-70mph. Several times at highway speeds have caused the truck to change directions. The most current event occurred yesterday (9-25-2019) and required me to slow the vehicle to under 10mph to recover. The shaking was violent enough to open the glove box. I have had 5 of these occurrence so far in ownership of this vehicle which was purchased new 14 months ago. The vehicle is completely oem including wheels and tires. Nothing has been added. I cant use the vehicle as intended (towing) as I'm concerned of loosing control of the vehicle under those circumstances.
