I bought this truck with 14000 miles 3 days ago. I was driving with kids 40mph when I hit a bump on road. The trick violently started shaking and did not stop until I completely stopped the truck. I called service and they said it is a death wobble and if they replace the manufacture part it will happen again in about 30K miles. I was driving on a city road when this happened.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250. The contact stated the while driving approximately 65-70 mph on wet roadway, the steering wheel shook violently and was uncontrollable until the speed was reduced to 35 mph. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Liberty Ford brunswick (3101 center rd, brunswick, oh 44212, (330) 225-9141) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the steering assembly, steering linkage, damper and tire pressure needed to be reset. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was contacted but no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 1,200.

At approximately 55 mph, I hit a bump in the road and the steering began to wobble uncontrollably and I lost control of the vehicle. The only way to make it stop was to slow down to approximately 25 mph on a busy highway. Any time I hit a bump in the road at ~55 mph or more, this happens. Truck has 25800 miles. It has been doing this for the last couple of weeks, but up until this time, it was not near as bad. It is very dangerous and impossible to control without slowing down.

  • 3,900 miles
From the day we bought the vehicle we noticed a wobble in the steering wheel at around 50-70mph, similar to tires not being balanced correctly, and planned to have it looked at on the first oil change. At around 3900 miles on the way home from a road trip I hit a small insignificant pothole on the freeway doing about 70 and it jerked the truck to the side. That same road trip I hit a second small pothole and this time it jerked the truck into the other lane, luckily no car was next to me. The following day while accelerating on the the on ramp of a freeway, at around 50 mph, I experienced a wobble in the steering wheel that I would later find to be known as the 'death wobble'. it shook the wheel so violently that I thought one of the front wheels was coming off the truck. I immediately slowed down and the wobble dissipated so I was able to continue driving slowly back home. I called and brought the vehichle into the dealer an hour later and was shocked to find out they have a tsb out for this known issue. If this is occuring at 4K miles than it is not a 'wear and tear' issue. This is a problem directly from the factory and Ford needs to be forced to not sell another F-250 off their lot until their tsb has been performed and recall all vehicles affected. This is a major safety issue that now has me fearful of letting my wife and kids ride in the vehicle.

Death wobble / severe shaking of steering wheel and almost lost control of vehicle. Was traveling down the road at around 70 mph and hit a rough patch in the pavement at a bridge. Ford should issue a mandatory safety recall and replace the entire front suspension system and steering system and whatever else it takes to fully resolve. People will get injured or killed if this is not fixed.

I purchased a new 2019 F250 in January and noticed around 65 to 70 mph the front end started shaking back and forth I took the truck to the dealership and they replaced the stabilizer shock stating that Ford knows about the problem but they are not recalling them for this issue. The truck still shakes at 65 to 70 mph the dealership said they can only fix what Ford will tell them to fix. This to me is a serious problem due to when you hit a bump at theses speeds a person could loose control and wreck

Right after purchasing the truck, left out the dealership, hit a bump in the road @ 65mph and the truck began the 'death wobble' in the front end and shook vigorously until I slowed to 45mph. It did it a few more times on the way back to the dealer. Tsb#19-2392 was used by the dealership for the repair.

Purchased a Ford certifi pre-owned vehiclewith 35,285 miles, the day I picked it up at about 60mph I drove over a pavement transition and the truck started tohave severe steering oscillation to the point I almost lost grip of the steering wheel. Behind me was a school bus of children and nowhere to pull off or slow down on the freeway. I had to get on the brakes to stop the shaking and the school bus behind me had to get on the brakes heavily since the driver started flashing their headlights at me. This is a very unsafe condition for a vehicle on the highway. Ford from what I am researching is aware of the problem but have been unwilling to acknowledge or act on the problem. It's just a matter of time before this causes a major accident either for the Ford truck owner like me or someone else in the vacinity of one of these trucks on the highway. It needs to be addressed soon.

The problem has happened about 5 times now, the last time I was towing my work trailer. It seems it is always at or near highway speeds and only if I hit some rough pavement or the start or stop of a bridge. After I hit the rough spots the front end and steering wheel starts to shake very violently. I have to slow down drastically to get it to stop, maybe around 25 mph. The first few times where bad, but the last time with my enclosed trailer I was in the middle of I-75 in ft. Myers Florida and I thought for sure it was going to cause a wreck. Fortunately traffic was not to heavy and everyone was able to get out of my way as I made my way to the shoulder. I really like the truck, but I can not have this happen as I am on I-75 with my trailer just about every weekday it would have not been such a good outcome if it would have been normal traffic for this time of year.

2019 F 250 lariat truck has violent shaking in front end when you hit small bumps at highway speeds, sometimes 5 to 10 times a day, took to dealer, they said no real fix but put parts Ford said to replace on truck and tightened up some parts, stopped shaking for about 2000 miles, then it started back, now worse than ever, this issue need to be addressed, it is going to get multiple people killed, mine did it at 75 mph on I 45 in bad traffic other day like to caused a major wreck, you have to get is slowed to around 40 mph to get control back. I consider my self a professional driver, my job requires me to drive 50000 miles plus a year, this is a very dangerous issue, it is a issue dealers tell me that Ford is ignoring and telling them to fight claims until truck S out of warranty, my first occurrence was about 13000 miles and is continuing at 35000 currently,
