Two weeks ago, my truck started experiencing the notorious 'death wobble' which causes the entire truck to shake violently at high speeds. I received a recall notice in the mail and immediately called the dealership to schedule the repair. According to the dealership, the necessary part is on national back order for an unspecified period of time. Over the past 2 weeks, I have contacted the dealership on two more occasions to inquire about the part being delivered, and I've received the same response. It's still unknown as to when the part may be available. On 1/7/20, I contacted Ford directly hoping they could provide more specific details regarding the shipment of the part. The representative I spoke to informed me there are no alternatives other than continue checking in with my local dealership. Due to the unknown timeframe and potential danger, I asked the representative if Ford would reimburse me to install an aftermarket steering damper and labor for install. She told me that Ford would decline my request for reimbursement. The truck has 23,000 miles and is extremely dangerous to drive.

I was driving on the highway at 64 -66 mph when it went over an expansion joint in the road. The front end began to shake voilently and the steering wheel was shaking back and forth so hard I could barely gain control of the truck. I finally slowed down to about 20 mph and the shaking and sterring wheel shaking stopped. I was in the center lane and was almost rearended by 70 mile per hour traffic because of hitting the brakes so suddenly to try to maintain control of the truck. I had just bought the truck from the Ford dealership and I turned around and we went directly back and had them put it into the shop to determine what repairs that were needed. The truck is still at the dealership waiting to be inspected by their mechanic and necessary repairs determined.

I had my whole family in the car when I went over an over pass on the highway going about 65 mph and it triggered the death wobble which was a very scary experience. It now has happened about 6 times and I refuse to even have a passenger into the truck. If anyone of my family members would have been driving the truck they would not have been able to keep control of the vehicle with out doubt

Driving 70 mph on interstate I40, on a straight section of road, I crossed a bridge when the steering wheel began to violently rotate side to side shaking the truck (death wobble). The steering wheel bruised my right hand and stretched my elbow ligaments. Luckily the two tractor trailers beside me and the one behind me saw my 4 way lights and backed off. Showing down to 45 mph ended this issue. The front suspension it's responsible for this issue.

I have started experiencing a vibration in the front end of my truck. After research and speaking with my local alignment center he informed me that this is common on the 2019 F250. He said this is part of the death wobble problem in the F250. Following the research and having right at 100K miles it's dishearting that Ford is ignoring a safety problem with this defect. It's happening at highway speeds. 55 to 75mph Ford sent me a recall on the steering stabilizer. But after inspection my mechanic says it's much deeper than that. Tie rods and other components live a shortened life. He also explained that he does this repair often for a local company because Ford will not warranty it.

While driving on the highway at speeds greater than 60 my truck experienced the issue know as death wobble. After hitting an expansion joint the steering wheel will start to oscillate uncontrollably until the speed is reduced to below 40 mph. You lose all control of the vehicle and are unable to steer. This has now happened 7 times starting around 15000 miles.

While driving at highway speedometer an interstate, about 70, after hitting a series of bumps/potholes, I experienced a violent shaking of the front suspension into the steering wheel. The shaking was equivalent to having square front tires. After slowing to about 50 mph the shaking stopped. This has happened 2 times in the past month and reported to the dealership. The truck had about 15,000 miles on it.

While driving at 45mph front end shaking/vibrating violently on city street. 12/2/2020 very hard to control. While driving on highway 65mph 12/13/2020 front end shaking/vibrating violently very hard to control. While driving near prescott AZ, 65 mph, truck started shaking vibrating violently almost uncontrollable, this shakes the heck out of all suspension parts and the whole truck for that matter. Researching, this is ongoing issue, told that applying breaks which all people do in this position - warps break rotors as well. Issue is very prevalent on internet.all front suspension parts and rotors should be replace per mechanics that fix these issues. No crash yet but luck will run out.

While driving on the highway at approx 70 mph, the left front tire hit a small pothole and the front wheels/axle started shaking violently(death wobble) and sent the truck over two lanes of traffic barely missing all the vehicles around me. It is apparently a known Super Duty issue that I was not aware of prior to buying this truck a year ago. Had I known, I would not have bought the truck. 2019 F-250 4WD w/19.000 miles.

My 2019 F-250 front tires starting bouncing at 75 mph on interstate enough to alarm me a month ago. Yesterday 12/19/20 I hit a bump on a bridge 63 mph and the trucks front tires started bouncing uncontrollably, I almost hit a log truck head on. I held the wheel hard w/both hands and tried to brake but they did not function properly during the event. This truck has 32K miles and it is dangerous!

I was driving down the highway at about 60 mph and upon hitting a bump experienced what I have come to know as the 'death wobble' the steering wheel was shaking and presumably the tires were shaking as well because I could not gain control of the vehicle. Luckily I was in the right hand lane and could slowly brake to a stop and regain control of the vehicle. I believe, after some research, that this is due to a litany of suspension parts being loose or too weak.

I was driving on a freeway on an incline and slight curve. There was a little dip in the road. The truck started shaking like I had a flat tire. I pulled over checked truck and tires over. Found no problem. I pulled back on the freeway and then it drove normal. Did research and I had never heard of the death wobble before that.

"death wobble" after only 14,000 miles on the vehicle.. the vehicle shakes violently at high speed steering fear. Every time you hit a bump on the highway the vehicles shakes for a very long time till you slow down substantially and try to get to the highway shoulders.. very dangerous and scary.

On 12/15/2020 at approx 4:30 pm, I experienced sever steering wheel oscillation (death wobble) while crossing an over pass expansion joint on the Florida turnpike at around 70 mph. Truck is under warranty and has 21,000 miles on it. Luckily my wife was not driving when this happened as it was almost uncontrollable, had to merge into the emergency lane and decrease speed to around 30 mph before it stopped. Car behind me saw that the front axle was hopping uncontrollably and put their hazards on.there are known fsa's and tsb's from Ford regarding this problem. This is the first time it has happened and making an appointment to take to dealer to fix. After reading several threads about this, I'm sure it will be more of a "band aid" than a true solution.
