The vehicle was not drivable and was left at that location for three days. The contact stated he was able to recharge the battery and drove to his residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

Jan.26th 2018 I purchased a 2014 Ford Focus SE from Pacifico Ford. I was told by salesman No Recalls and No safety Issues. The car was on the lot with new inspection stickers. I was given a clean car fax. I was deceived. The car was returned the next day for driving improperly. It gave too much gas or not enough, was shuddering and sticking, steering issues, drifted to the right, and steering wheel had to be crooked to park to adjust the wheels, and car had a burn smell. Ford found transmission problem, engine leaking oil, clutch problem, cpu issues, failed road test and leaky seals. A week later, I was told all was fixed as new. April 23rd 2018 the car malfunctioned disabling me for life. While I was parking, the car accelerated forward, slammed into a barrier, roared up in the air, slammed down a slope and into a tree. Malfunction codes from an auto collision center were it was towed were achieved, one of which is an acceleration malfunction code. No air bags deployed, no warning. I found out after the malfunction there were many safety issues and recalls that I was not told of day of sale. Ford, a once trusted company, disabled me for life.

My 2014 doesn't have all those fancy safety features listed but my horn doesn't work. I never owned a vehicle that the horn has just stopped working. I thought it was a blown fuse but turns out it's another issue with the car on top of the previous recalls it has had. I can't even renew my car registration until this is fixed and it's a safety hazard. I can't even warn drivers when they are about to crash into me on the highway. Ford wants to charge an over the top price to look and fix the problem but there is not guarantee that it will even be completely fixed seeing as another Ford Focus owner I met in person and what I've read online have also has issues with their horn not working anymore. This should be under a recall with Ford.

While driving down the road the housing for the PCM broke and the whole thing fell hitting the driver front tire and dragging on the while able to stop. The car then shut off and and had engine and transmission error codes. Took the car to shop to be fixed. A few weeks later the car starts shifting hard and sometimes not shifting past 3rd gear through out the day by thw end of the day reverse quits working. The next drove car 15 miles to town shut it off and has not started since. Waiting on dealership to have available time slot to repair.

I have had so much trouble with this car I am upside down on it. Now all the electrical stuff seems to be shorting. I was driving and my fuel gauge kept going to zero then back up to half a tank. Then my check engine light came on. My horn doesn't work which is is huge safety concern for me those are just the new issues I also have had the tcm replaced twice and it never made a difference to the car.

Vehicle was having many electrical issues including security system randomly going off, headlights flickering, inability to start engine, inability to stop engine even when electrical was powered down and battery drainage. The problem was the body control module (BCM) having been damaged from washer fluid ingress from the pump, along the wire harness, then into the BCM. Corrosion and damage was beyond repair. Needed to replace and reprogram. Will be without a vehicle for 2 months because of part backorder. Repair costs will end up being close to $2,000.

The car displays the P0902 obii code. The engine stalls and wont change gears properly. This is specially dangerous when turning since the cars behind you can't see you're stalling and may crash into you. Some times it gets so bad that the dashboard displays a message that the transmission has heated up and I have to pull over immediately. The car won't even run or change gears at that point. This problem happens randomly when driving. Specially when the vehicle is idle for a while.

1. clutch slips in transmission causing vehicle to stall or reach dangerous RPM's before switching into another gear. 2. repair was denied by Ford stating that it wasn't related to the current recall but was the clutches that needed to be replaced. Clutches are going out due to the tcm that was recalled on the vehicle. 3. horn has decided to stop working along with controls on the steering wheel due to a wiring issue with the vehicle. Fuses have been changed ensuring that it is a wiring issue. 4. hazard lights as well as half the buttons on the dash including radio, etc. Have also decided to stop working due to a wiring issue in the vehicle. No hazards making it a risk and unsafe to pull vehicle off of road in case of an emergency. 5. Ford dealership that car was taken to stated all recalls were completed but when VIN is entered through Ford website it states that all recalls are incomplete. Ford sent me a notice for repairs on transmission stating it will be almost $1400 to replace clutches in transmission. There would be no problems with the clutches if there was never anything wrong with the transmission control module to begin with. Repairing the transmission should not be on the owner of these vehicles and Ford should be liable for the repairs to an issue that was their responsibility to correct from the beginning and was not corrected in a timely manner.

Ongoing electrical issues that may or may not be related. Vehicle will "stall" while in motion or while powered on but stopped at a light for example. It's an electric vehicle so the cause of the stall is unclear. Vehicle will be inoperable for 1-10 minutes, including power steering while the system resets. This happens usually at slow speeds or while stopped - in reverse, climbing hills, stopped at traffic lights. The problem was "fixed" in October 2019 and we were told that something doing while addressing one of the electrical recalls had caused the problem. Now it's happening again and Ford can't tell us why. We've been stranded pulling out of our driveway in the path of on coming traffic, blocking one lane roads in our neighborhood and at intersections.
