Takata recall I received notice of this recall over a year ago initially and am yet to have received any further notice of remedy or potential remedy. The recommendation from Ford is to not allow anyone to sit in the front passenger seat which has resulted in reduced use of my own property.

Takata recall - my dashboard airbag light is on. I took it to one dealer who said that the airbag light has nothing to do with the recall and I would have to have it fixed on my own. When I took it to another dealer, I was told the light had to do with the recall and I would have to wait until parts are available and I get another letter from Ford that it is time to have it fixed. Please let me know what I need to do. Thank you.

Took my car in to the Ford dealer and they said they would not replace the airbag because it had a savage title. The car was in a wreck in Pennsylvania. It had driver's side damage and was repaired. I am told that when there is an accident in Pennsylvania, they always put salvage on the title. Does Ford need to replace?

Takata recall. Numerous delays by the Ford Motor Company in securing a permanent fix for the passenger airbag recall have left me with a car of limited use. Repair parts for priority group 6 were supposed to be available late 3rd quarter 2017, but the 5th amendment to the cro delayed this to late 1st quarter 2018. Adding to this, Ford notified the NHTSA in November 2017 that further delays will be required. At the current time it is unknown when Ford will have a permanent fix ready for implementation. Ford's letter in December 2017 now indicates it is unsafe for occupants to sit in the passenger seat, making the car only partly usable. It does not appear to me that Ford is resolving this issue in a timely fashion, and now my family's safety in the car is questionable. Due to the multiple delays, Ford should allow owners to request a temporary, like-for-like replacement at no cost to reduce the risk of failure until the permanent fix is available. This would also restore full functionality of the vehicle by permitting use of the passenger seat. This temporary fix would be ideal for my situation and I feel Ford and the NHTSA should permit these repairs on a case-by-case basis. Thank you for your consideration with this matter.

Awaiting repairs on a takata airbag for years. The issue was identified in 2012, a recall was issued in 2016, and parts are claimed to be unavailable as of 1/11/2018. The dealer says call the manufacture hotline, the manufacturer hotline says they'll repair when they have parts, I have been waiting for multiple years. The NHTSA state the seating position should not be used. Fine, then comp the tco for primary seating position. I feel like the NHTSA and the manufacture are simply colluding to delay repairs until these vehicles are no longer in service.
