Takata recall - despite the recall having been issued June 1, 2016 - Ford has yet to make a replacement available for the defective component. I have two of these cars driven by my daughters. Takata tells customers to contact Ford dealerships, Ford dealerships tell customers that there is no fix for this"??" please explain the lack of action by Ford

Takata recall taking two long. Recall was 06/2016. Still have not been replaced as of 11/18/2017. This is my elderly mothers car and every time she checks will the Ford dealer in royston ga. They act like smarty pants and ask her "did you get a letter and what did it say?" her reply is that the letter said they would contact her when they get the parts. They claim they have not received the parts yet. A year and a half wait is to long. What is up with Ford. My Honda airbag was taken care of in 2016.

Takata recall I received a letter dated July 2016 from my local Ford dealership (bloomington Ford in bloomington, in), saying that my car fell under the takata airbag recall and that they would contact me when the parts were available to fix it. It has now been nearly 18 months since that letter was sent, and I contacted the dealership earlier this month to see if my car could be repaired. They told me they still did not have the required materials to complete the recall repairs. I am extremely concerned about the length of time this is taking. I am very aware that my passenger air bag could cause fatal injury, and as I'm looking to sell the car in the next year or two I'm concerned that the problem wouldn't be corrected before that happens and that the next owners may unknowingly be driving a car with a potentially fatal defect. I know I'm not the only one who is dealing with massive delays on this recall repair process, but I was hoping that the NHTSA could come up with some remedy that could get my car fixed faster. I'd also like you to confirm that the local dealerships are as of now unable to fix my car in any way, because it feels like something could be done even if takata has decided to file bankruptcy. Thank you.

Takata recall this notice was put out in 2016, it is almost the end of 2017. I called Ford motors on 11/17/17 and they don't have an estimated time as to when the dealerships will be receiving the parts to fix the air bag problems. What's a reasonable time fame? I hope they're not waiting for an accident to happen first.

I have called the dealership for the takata recall and they continue to tell me that parts are not available additionally, last winter my ABS braking system after a short slide on ice, the brake pedal became very soft and remains that way currently and I am concerned that if I have to brake hard for a severe stop that it will not stop properly. It happened when I braked on a street with ice, the ABS kicked in as the tire slide on the ice, then afterwards the brake pedal has to be depressed significantly more towards the floor of the car that it used to from the inception of purchasing the car

Takata recall - my Ford dealership is still saying after a year and a half that they do not have parts to replace the defective airbag. I am concerned about driving my vehicle any longer without the recall fixed. I have asked every few months about this since the initial notice I received last year (June 2016) to no avail. I am writing this complaint to memorialize that I have tried contacting my dealership getting the same response that there is no solution I just have to wait. This is not timely in my opinion considering that this could cause death. I have registered my email address with tkrestructuring.com per the instructions on the bankruptcy notice, but am still concerned that my vehicle has not been addressed and find this negligent at the very least, thanks! cristina

I received notice of the takata airbag recall for my 2007 Ford Fusion in 03/2017. I contacted Ford's customer service on 08/11/2017 and I was advised that Ford is in the process of filing a new airbag supplier due to takata's filing for bankruptcy. It is now 11/15/2017 and my airbag has not been replaced, and I haven't heard any additional information from Ford. I do realize that takata's filing for bankruptcy might have complicated the situation. I also realize that my vehicle is not the only one affected by this recall; however, it is a concern for me that 8 months have gone by and this safety recall has not been addressed. I hope that delay does not result in any injury to myself or anyone else. I feel that 8 months of waiting is a long time, especially for a safety recall and that this should be addressed as soon as possible.
