Low speed fender bender with no exterior damage caused air bags to deflate. Broke passengers arm, broke the windshield, injured drivers arm (minor), damage to vehicle due to airbags totaled the vehicle. Someone stopped on a highway at speeds of 55 miles an hour and driver as well as driver in vehicle in front of them slammed on breaks. They slowed down so slow that there was no damage to either vehicle except for eruption of airbags which caused severe damage all around.

Takata recall for airbags was announced many months ago. I was told I would be getting a notice from my dealer about getting replacements. That's never happened, even though I have followed up when I have been at the dealer (francois Ford, belleville, wi) for maintenance. The dealer says the parts are back ordered and I will get notice. Now I got notice of tk holdings Inc. Filing chapter 11 bankruptcy. I followed up with the dealer, again, today, but still no parts. This is my complaint that a serious defect has not been resolved, which it appears is putting me at risk in the vehicle I rely on daily to get to work, etc. I want the problem fixed as soon as possible, and hold the manufacturer as responsible for resolution as much as the company that made the defective airbags. How do I make this happen before some unfortunate outcome occurs from activating the airbags?

Takata recall -- I received a notice dated June 2016 about having the passenger airbag replaced. I've not received any further communication. I've called the dealership several times to be told they do not have the parts yet. I think a year and 4 months is plenty of time to get parts.

Takata recall - card in mail, telling me to register / check website. When VIN for Ford entered at primecheck and NHTSA.gov websites, recall notice there. Followed steps called dealer and was told no, Ford would be sending notice first, not tk holdings. O parts in northeast, doesn't think year of car effected (2007), warmer states getting parts first, he will check Ford recall site. Who do I believe. My vehicle information states recall and I have been notified by mail from tk holding aka takata

"takata recall", I received a recall notice from Ford Motor Company in dearborn, Michigan regarding a recall dated March 2017 instructing me to wait for a further notice from them indicating that they have parts available to enable me to contact my local dealer and have the defective parts replaced free of charge. I am still waiting. I have contacted my local dealer and was told I would get a notice from Ford Motor Company. I am greatly concerned as I drive my vehicle about 50 miles daily to work and I drive my fiance many places, all the while worried that the defective part could cause scrapnel flying at both of us or the actual airbag not working correctly if needed, possibly injurying or even killing one or both of us or anyone else that happens to be in the car at the time. I feel that despite a chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding (tk holdings Inc.,et al - chapter 11 case no. 17-11375 bls ) that Ford is still able to get replacement kits to remedy the defect from takata as they are only restructuring and will continue to have enough kits to replace the defects. Ford is taking too long on this matter when people's safety and lives are at risk. The real worry is cause for punitive damages for stress and cruel and inhumane treatment due to Ford 's neglect.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Ford Fusion. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17V024000 (air bags) and stated that the part was not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair. The dealer (dana Ford Lincoln, 266 West service road, staten island, NY 10314, (718) 983-8700) did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The manufacturer was contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the contacts vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact was not experiencing a failure.
