This vehicle has already been recalled for the hcu unit not functioning properly. I have already filed a complaint for that with NHTSA. This new complaint is because the recall was made on December 18th of 2019 and now over a year later Ford has not fixed the problem. I brought the car into a Ford dealer on 01/08/21 and the dealer confirmed that the hcu unit is defective but they told me Ford doesn't have the part and doesn't know when it will be available to replace it. This is over a year after it was recalled. I'm sure Ford has built a lot of cars and trucks in the last year and has sold a lot of parts so it doesn't make sense that they cannot get this part. This is a safety issue. The brake pedal goes to the floor if the anti-lock brake engages and most of the time I have to pull over and pump the pedal to get it back to where it should engage. The Ford dealer I took it to had me sign a paper saying that they informed me that the brakes are bad but Ford won't fix it and that they are not responsible for me getting into an accident. The last line of the circled area on the rock river Ford receipt states that.

There seems to be an open recall concerning the braking system. From your description parts to fix the problem should have been available first quarter 2020. It's now December. Seems like Ford is taking too long to fix this issue.

The recall for the ABS was sent to notify Ford owners in late December 2019. When this notice was sent the paperwork stated that a remedy would be found by "end of first quarter 2020". it is now November 8th, 2020 and there has been no update that there has not been a remedy made available for these owners. If we want to be technical end of first quarter of 2020 is March, we are now approaching 8 months past that official notice. I would like and I am sure other owners would like an update as to when the remedy will be made available. I have had many issues with my breaking system and had to have parts of the automatic breaking system replaced due to this recall while having to pay for it on my own.

While driving and braking, it felt as if there was no brakes, the pedal went to the floor. I would describe this as an extended brake.many times I've come very close to getting into an accident due to this issue. I've had the brake pads, brake rotors, calipers and now the master cylinder replaced with a brake fluid flush and this issue still remains. This issue is very unsafe and I feel this vehicle should be listed under the recall regarding the ABS module. I called several different Ford dealerships and was told that my vehicle doesn't qualify for the recall. I called Ford customer service and they were no help either. The repaid I've made were costly, but this repair would be very costly in which I feel I shouldn't have to pay for.

I was told by a uftring Ford they were waiting on manufacturer and was directed to call Ford. I called Ford and they told me nhsta was still determining what they were willing to fix and to call them and that they were told by NHTSA that it would be end of 3rd quarter 2020 before the recall was fixed. My brakes will go from really soft taking 20 feet or better to stop with the pedal to the floor but at other times will stop normal just with soft break pedals. My car spends it's days parked and we do well with just one car but if I could trust my car to drive it to work I would but until this is fixed I can't. it's value makes it hard to sell especially with the recall.

I have had a recall notice from Ford since the beginning of the year. Ford notified me that parts were expected in the first quarter of 2020. It is now 9/8/2020, and I have not heard from Ford about any repair dates. I could probably schedule a repair myself and get it done. It seems as though they are not motivated. Need help.

I a mail related to an important safety recall. There is a valve in the hydraulic control unit of the anti-locking braking system that is stuck open. And this problem is more noticeable during a rainy day or winter periods. I really have to drive very very slowly for the brakes to operate well. I also planned to sell off the car but because of the condition I did not want to risk life for someone else. Before the safety recall mail I took the vehicle to mechanics to solve the problem they failed because they did not know where the problem was. But now that I know what the problem is and Ford company had promised to solve the problem by the end of the first quarter of 2020 but now we are almost in the last quarter of 2020, I don't know if they gave up on their promise.

My daughter drives this vehicle to get to work and she has experience a low brake pedal for nearly 2 years. The pedal is now so low that it is frightening to drive the car. The low pedal (almost to the floor) occurs at all times when braking. In January we received a recall notice from Ford (Ford recall number 19S54, NHTSA recall number 19V-904) notifying us of this problem and explained that Ford would be providing work instructions and parts to the dealership by the end of the 1Q2020. I have been calling the Ford dealers in our area and all claim that Ford has not issued this information to them. What is going on? my daughter is afraid to drive the car and she needs transportation. Please help.
