Takata recall. I was notified nearly 2 years ago that this airbag issue was a risk factor on my car. I have called local Ford dealerships numerous times and been told that the parts are not available to repair my car. I was told that my email address is in their files and that I will be notified when parts are available. I have now received a postcard telling me of a bankruptcy case involving the makers of the faulty parts. I have not had an accident. I do want this repair made to make my car as safe as it is intended to be.

I received a recall notice a year ago, and I keep calling my dealer webb Ford in highland Indiana, and Ford in dearborn Michigan, still have not replaced my passenger takata air bag!! can not give me a date when it will be replaced. Have asked Ford to deflate the bag I feel I would be safer without it but they won't "due to safety issues''! I worry everyday I drive this car yet I only have 4, .000 miles on it. The airbag for my vehicle has been recalled for almost an entire year, and the parts to fix it have not yet been made available. This is not being taken care of in a timely manner. The area on the dashboard around the airbag has significant warping, and I have been advised against using the front passenger seat.

Took the my vehicle in twice to the Ford dealer in westlake, Ohio. First time in July, 2016 and the second time in may, 2017. Both times they informed me they could not do anything until they received the replacement and they had no idea when this would be.

Takata recall I called Ford to schedule an appointment to replace the recalled air bags over a year and a half ago. I have called since then and still no one has gotten back to me to replace the "death trap" airbag. Does someone in my family have to die in order to have the airbag replaced?

Takata recall - in June 2016 we were notified there was an issue with the airbag on this vehicle and to wait for them to send another notice when there was a repair available. It has now been more than a year, and we have not received this notice. We have another vehicle under the same recall (2005 Dodge Dakota), for which we received instructions to contact a dealer for replacement of the faulty airbag in the initial warning about the recall (within the past couple of weeks) - my complaint is that obviously there is a solution if Dodge can offer replacement of the airbag - however, we have been waiting over a year with no similar offer from Ford.

Takada recall. I have a 2008 Ford Fusion that has a passage side air bag that is potentially defective. Nearly two years ago I got a letter from Ford stating that the air bag would be replaced when parts were available. To date I've heard nothing. Today I get a notice in the mail there is a chapter 11 filing. Am I stuck with this potentially dangerous air bag?
