Fusion Sport 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 106,500 miles

A/C will be blowing cold air then suddenly blow very hot air. A/C has to be turned off for about 20 minutes before it will blow cold again. Then after a little while, it starts to blow hot air again. No change in fan speed, just change in temperature of the air. Very frustrating and miserable as Louisiana is extremely hot in the summer. Mechanic said it is not the compressor. OBDII code intermittently thrown as Left Fan Blower motor. Haven't tried the DIY attempts yet. Could be loose wires, a relay, or the motor itself cost to fix in a shop ~$780

Fusion 4 cyl

Filter and other parts were replaced as well as Freon added two months ago. Paid $300 for the fix. Worked fine for awhile but then started doing same thing again. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks!

Replacing the evaporator sensor in the 2010 Ford Fusion requires removing the dash. The replacement part cost around $20, but the labor costs (due to the time required to access the sensor) were high. My bill was $545.

Fusion SE 2.5L I4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

A/C stopped working in Spring of 2014. Ended up paying $2,000 to fix it as the compressor apparently imploded sending metal shards throughout the cooling system. Had to replace the compressor and essentially most of the entire A/C system.

A year later, in the Spring of 2015, the A/C wasn't working again. Turns out the freon had leaked out due to a leak in the system. Luckily this was fixed for free by the same repair shop that had fixed it a year prior.
