I have since figured out that the ABS is not working and because of this the power steering is not working. This could have been a very dangerous situation at a higher rate of speed. I own a 2010 Ford Fusion and I have been having problems with the brake pedal going down to the floor. The brakes are soft, and the brake pedal is not operating correctly. I took it to a shop to have the brakes check to see if I needed new brake pads or what the issue was. I was referred to the dealer for possible factory warranty brake condition, stating it has tsb on brake booster switch, brake pedal level switch problem. I have taken my car to the dealer 3 times and they state there is nothing wrong with the brakes, but when driving the vehicle the brakes are not operating correctly. The brake pedal is going down to the floor when braking is not a normal operation, driving this car is dangerous. The brakes feel like a sponge and I fear one day this car is not going to stop, and I have explained this to the mechanic at the dealership as well as the manager in the service department. Well my fear almost came to light when I had to floor the brakes to stop the car while driving on the highway. I have been told by the dealership there is nothing they can do because their is no recall on the brakes and there is no service complaint from Ford. The only action taken by the dealership was to bleed the brakes, which did nothing to solve the problem. At this point I feel I have no recourse but to park the car until I can get another vehicle, because I am afraid to drive it.

2010 Ford Fusion sel. Customer writes in regards to continued transmission problems. The consumer stated the transmission would slip harshly and hesitate on acceleration. The recall repair did not correct the transmission problems. It was determined that the valve body and solenoid body were defective. Also, one of the tires was leaking air, there was an issue with the traction and brakes. There were noises coming from the front of the vehicle. The steering wheel would not lock into place, the cd player did not work at times, the driver side visor did not stay in place, the gas over flow tube was inoperative, the vehicle would pull hard when the brake was applied. The rear driver's side door had to be slammed extremely hard, in order to close it. The driver's side seat belt was backwards. The passenger side windshield wiper dragged on the windshield and the vehicle would sometimes surge on its own. Each time the consumer went to the dealer about certain problems, she was told no problems were found.

2010 Ford Fusion hybrid. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle brake system the consumer stated in Feb 2010, Ford issued a customer satisfaction program recall to reprogram the brake system. Unfortunately, the general recall did not correct the malfunction with his particular vehicle. Since that time, he has continued to experience the problem that prompted the recall. The malfunction occurred randomly and with no warning. There were times, where the vehicle had been driven for months, with no problem. But, then without warning, the malfunction would occur again. According to Ford, the brake system software may unnecessarily cause the regenerative brake system to transition to conventional brakes, if that occurs the red brake warning lamp will illuminate, the message check brake system will appear and a warning chime will sound. The consumer stated when the issue did occur, at times he was able to stop the vehicle, turn it off and re-start it; other times he would have to let the vehicle sit for an hour or more.

I have taken it into Ford 3 separate times, a recall was done on the vehicle for a computer chip, again had the vehicle into service in 09/2011 for the same issue. The vehicle has 34,000 miles on it and attempt to replace the rear brakes...driver rear side had no pad left, checked the three other brakes plenty of pad. Surburban Ford service desk told me because my car was green metallic, not covered in latest recall. I looked at the recall notices and it is absolutely the same problem I've been complaining about from the first month I purchased this vehicle!

Just starting off from a traffic light the car started to stall. The car was towed to montrose Ford where they determined a part in the transmission failed. The part was ordered and replaced a few days later. On the 16th of September while driving the brakes failed. The car was taken to ganley Ford on the 19th of Sept. They initially determined it was a transmission problem, exactly the same problem that was repaired in August. On the 21st of Sept. The maintenance people drove the car with a computer connected to analyze what was happening but found nothing wrong. Now they say the problem is hydraulic related but will need to keep the car for at least 30 days to solve the problem. At this time they have no idea what is really wrong. Inside the car is an intermittent noise. It can only be heard when just starting out or at very slow speeds. Ganley Ford has no idea where this noise is coming from.
