Will driving down interstate 64 in Kentucky I hit a rough expansion joint while crossing a bridge entering into West Virginia afterwards the dash warning lights lit up with traction control light on and also telling me to service power steering. I also noticed a loss of power and could not gain any pressing down on the accelerator pedal. I released the pedal and pressed down again and gained power but did not have any power steering. I exited at the fist exit and pulled into a fuel mart to check under the hood to see if I could find a problem to which I couldn't. then I had a friend who is a mechanic check it and he said Ford had a problem with power steering and it was a very costly repair but I could probably continue to drive it locally but with caution. My arms have increased in size due to the muscle needed to deal with the hard steering. Well the other day the steering went completely out upon inspecting it we found the tie rod end on the drivers side had came loose and was completely stripped of threads to which it attaches to the steering rod. We replaced it and also found the other side was loose to. We need help NHTSA this is a big safety problem and not just a local one, please order a recall! • Automatic transmission
  • miles
2010 Ford Fusion sel. Customer writes in regards to continued transmission problems. The consumer stated the transmission would slip harshly and hesitate on acceleration. The recall repair did not correct the transmission problems. It was determined that the valve body and solenoid body were defective. Also, one of the tires was leaking air, there was an issue with the traction and brakes. There were noises coming from the front of the vehicle. The steering wheel would not lock into place, the cd player did not work at times, the driver side visor did not stay in place, the gas over flow tube was inoperative, the vehicle would pull hard when the brake was applied. The rear driver's side door had to be slammed extremely hard, in order to close it. The driver's side seat belt was backwards. The passenger side windshield wiper dragged on the windshield and the vehicle would sometimes surge on its own. Each time the consumer went to the dealer about certain problems, she was told no problems were found.

While driving on the highway at 70 mph my car cuts off. I merge to the side of the road and after a few minutes it restarts. I put it in drive and continue driving. The next morning it does the same thing. When it looses power the wrench light, check engine light, and traction control lights come on and it says service advancetrac in the service bar on the dash panel. I have taken it to Ford several times and there are no codes stored for them to go by. They made me a new key and stated they thought it was my key going bad. I am sure that it is something more as it has done it again even with the new key. There is definitely something going on with the throttle bodies on these cars. It is very scary and unsafe when the car loses power in rush hour traffic. I have 3 children that I Transport in this car everyday. I honestly hope Ford investigates this and fixes the problem. I also had the problem with the lug nuts and wheel studs snapping off. There is a recall for that but I was told my car did not fall under that recall even though it was having the same issues? this is the first Ford I have ever owned and I will never buy another one. Not just the quality of the vehicle, but the tech's at the shops don't know anything, and Ford does not stand behind their products!!
