Fusion SEL 3.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 73,491 miles

My wife doesn't let the car run to warm up or cool off, only uses the system when needed. And when the fan motor doesn't blow when it's raining, the windows fog up and becomes a driving hazard. Not only to her but also you Ford Motor Company, especially when your in the other lane in oncoming traffic.

This is a extremely high hazard to everyone on the road. I know there has to be more like this out there. People need to take the time to report these problems, If not they will not be addressed by the automobile company.

burnt wires at fan assembly behind glove box

The first time it happened, the warranty just ended around 37,000 miles. The wiring harness under the glovebox that controls the fan melted and there was burn marks. I replaced the small harness for $40 from Ford and it was fine until this spring. Now with 60k miles the fan only has max speed and the ac is not cold. Checked the ac and the compressor and freon are fine. We did have the throttle body issue and Ford took care of it. I will take the car to Ford this week before the ac and air is needed for the summer.

Just to point out my wife does turn the heat to max and let the car run for 5-10 minutes in the winter in the drive way, and in the summer she sets it to 60 and max when it is 80-100 outside.
