Fusion SE 4 cyl

  • 13,000 miles

When going down a steep incline with the cruise control on (65 mph), the tachometer needles shoots up to around 4,000 RPMs and the engine just screams! The only way to stop it is to turn off the cruise. Ford says it is "characteristic of the car." I'm no mechanic, but I believe it can't be good when the engine is screaming. Any others out there with same issue?
