This is me filing an online complaint: 3/25/2021 Ford manufacturer recall Number 21S12 (NHTSA Recall Number 21V158) is not being handled "in a timely manner" seeing that driver's airbag metal fragments could cause death! I only received a letter form Ford then and today is 11/30/2021 and the recall has not been remedied. I thought you might agree as I cite your website https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls it says, "If the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline or file an online complaint with NHTSA." Also, please know, the last time Ford airbag "passenger" was handled, I ended up with a rental for 6-MONTHS, until they finally fixed it! I realize due to COVID there is potentially a shortage of supplies. Your website caught my attention and so I am just sending this since you advised to do so. Thanks!

I purchased this vehicle March 24th and was not aware of the airbag recall that would be issued the next day. I called the Ford dealer in Bloomington, IL in regards to the recall I was aware of on March 23rd and was told that the recall was on backorder and they had no information about when it would be available. I was not informed of any safety concerns in purchasing or driving the vehicle. On May 16, my daughter was in an accident driving this vehicle. She was hit directly on the driver side. The airbags did not deploy. Her forehead broke the driver side window resulting in cuts to her head, eyelid and concussion. The police officer who responded to the scene said that he was surprised the airbags did not go off in this severe of a crash. My car insurance has determined the vehicle a total loss. Title is being turned over to State Farm.

I have contacted Woody Anderson Ford Dealership in Huntsville, AL and the dealer is giving me the run around about the recall. I have provided the same information multiple times and the dealership refuses to order parts for my vehicle. The last recall (Passenger Airbags replaced) for the same vehicle was just as bad. It this same dealership 3 years to replace the affected airbags. I can not wait this long again. Ford Motor Company called me last time and told me that the car was not safe to drive. Now, this recall affects the driver side Airbags again for the same reasons. I offered to pay for the Driver's side air bag, but was told there was nothing wrong with the airbags. PARTS OF THIS DOCUMENT HAVE BEEN REDACTED TO PROTECT PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). [XXX]

I currently got a letter stating that if I were to get into an accident and my airbags were to deploy they would most likely explode causing sharp mental fragments ti come out which would hit the driver and possibly other people in the car. I am currently pregnant and have three small children Ford won't due anything to get the problem fixed nor are they willing to get me in a safe car that doesn't run the risk of killing my children. I was already in an accident in the last few years that caused the airbags to deploy and if it were in this car it would most likely kill my children. Why is this something that Ford wouldn't allow drivers to get parts faster or put owners in safe rental cars?

Dealer that sold me this vehicle never informed me about any recalls and than one day my son was checking the oil while stationary and off we thought it was weird that there was a loose cable, he connects it and than he proceeded to turn on the car to our astonishment the airbag light turn on, we took it to emissions and that's when we found out how endangered our lives were, of we would have known this before, we wouldn't have gotten the car. We nearly got wrecked today on 03/04/2021, I was more scared of the vehicle in which I am than the car that nearly crashed me... I don't want to die in an instance of being involved in a car crash and have no money to afford another vehicle. And as we were leaving the house a few days later after 02/03/2021, my daughter in the passenger seat tried putting on her seatbelt but of no avail as the seatbelt wouldn't clip.

On December 1st I was driving my Ford Fusion 2 the actual Ford dealership to get a look at their field service action that they had posted on my Ford app. While on my way I was stopped at a light on columbia drive in portland Oregon and I had thought my foot slipped off the brake initially but actually would happen if my car had accelerated and to the gentleman in front of me causing a car accident. My insurance company would have nothing to do with it I tried to contact Ford the dealership that I normally go to to see if they could repair the front-end of my Ford Fusion that was demolished and also no airbags went off as I had just got my car out of the shop at Ford for a recall on the airbags my fiance was with me so there was definitely cause for concern fortunately nobody was hurt but like I said my car was demolished on the right passenger side front end I couldn't figure out why my car accelerating on its own so looking into it the explanation that I came up with was definitely the electronic throttle body motor and all I want is my car returned back to its prior condition I have no other vehicle I don't know who to contact I did contact Ford and was referred to a bigger Ford company if someone could help that would be amazing I'd appreciate it... also no warnings or sensors went off in my vehicle I do have the sel package and once again no airbags were deployed and for the amount of damage that was done I was very surprised

I've contacted empire Ford of abingdon Virginia twice by phone: Once on August 27th and again on August 28th 2019, and went in person to the dealership on the 25th of September 2019 and physical handed them my vehicle registration to get this recall taken care of. As of yet, July 2020, I have had no help getting my recall fix, and yet, Ford continues to flood my mail box with 'urgent recall' mail. Either this is not an urgent recall or Ford Motor Company does not care about my safety; or maybe the dealership in general does not care about my safety. Please advise, or at least get Ford Motor Company to stop the harassing recall mail.thanks

1.) C/S airbag light is on - local dealership found passenger airbag in B pillar is cause - not related to recently completed recall 19S34 on passenger airbag inflater npa1908055946 per dealership. Not sure why the airbag systems in these vehicles are problematic, but the owner should not be responsible for charges for replacement of these problematic parts. Possible new recall needed. 2.) recall 15V34 relating to leaking canister purge valve - Ford authorized an update to the vehicle powertrain control module calibrations to help prevent pressure cycles in the fuel tank - these calibrations were performed however the purge valve has still failed. The part 9U5Z-9C915-H was originally recommended 4 years ago when the recall was issued but the part was unavailable at the time, on special order. Vehicle owner requested repair / part replacement repeatedly but was told the part remained unavailable and was not an issue with the re-calibration unless the check engine light appeared. The dealership closed the recall without replacing the part - 6 months later the check engine light came on and the cause is the need for a replacement canister purge valve and the owner is now responsible for the repair/replacement costs. Recall should be honored.
