Feels like the car is having trouble shifting gears. Lots of slipping. i never got it fixed and am pretty sure it was related to the transmission failure that i have reported separately. If you're reading this I'm sure you know by now that most ford owners have had problems like this and that Ford has done very little about it.

Ford says there is nothing wrong. I have never had a automatic transmission down shift so I could feel it automatically. Coasting to a stop it does it at approx 42 MPH car jerks, slows and tackometer goes up.

Yet another problem with my Fusion! I have never had this many issues with a car. I have to fix something major about every six months. And it's about 6 months now. I am not sure what the exact problem is yet but the way it feels when it gears down is that the transmission could go out at any minute. I had the dealership check the transmission the last time I had it in the shop for yet another issue with this car and they said everything was fine. Putting it back in the shop next week to check the transmission again!
Oh, and also at times when accelerating, especially if I have to quickly, the RPMS will shoot up to 8, the engine revs up, and I still get very little power.
