I was driving on a busy city street during rush hour when I noticed the car jerking when it changed gears. The RPM would shoot up high then back down while losing power to the vehicle. I managed to get to an auto advance store where I had a diagnostic done since my check engine light was on. The diagnostic came back with code PO455 twice and PO457 twice. It was then explained that too much air was getting into my fuel system. I proceeded to go to the Ford dealership, which was a half mile away. On the way, my car continued to jerk and loose power and some points. Then everything digital which one displays my mileage and the other displays how many mile till empty displayed intermittent lines and the wrench illuminated on my dashboard. At this time my car was on but quickly lost power to go forward. It almost got rear ended by the car behind me. I put on my turn signal and I coasted to the side of the road, turn off my car waited a few minutes the turned back on and put it in drive. The car would not move forward. The engine just revved up like I had it in neutral. I put it back in park then put it in reverse. The car would operate in reverse. Had to have car towed to dealership. Three months prior to this incident, I had to take my car to the dealership because of excessive battery acid on my positive terminal that had eaten through the wiring harness. Had to have harness and battery replaced. I still notice issues of battery acid accumulating around the screws on the battery harness and positive lead again.

The contact owns a 2011 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that there was a failure in which the vehicle experienced intermittent stalling. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to replicate and diagnose the failure, although they had been notified several times. The vehicle continued to stall and the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who replaced the throttle body, but the contact was uncertain if the oem part would fail again. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided no recommendation nor a solution. There was no clarification if there was a newly designed part or the same part that had previously failed. The VIN and failure mileage were not available.

Issue happened while vehicle was in motion. Instrument cluster light goes off and on every second with beeps and changing messages: Tire pressure monitor fault, door ajar. Vehicle left/right turn signals stopped working completely. Issue resolved by itself after 10 minutes driving. However radio system stopped working completely after this incident. There is video recorded by someone else showing this issue https://www.youtube.com/watch?V=0aykjosudew. Dealer did not fix anything, telling that there are no messages in computer.

Began having problems with this vehicle the second month after purchase. The first incident was steering wheel locked and I could not control the direction of the car. I ended up on the left side of the road off the shoulder before I could stop it. It happened on several occasions. Car dies for no reason. I end up having it towed or restarted by charging battery. The battery always has a full charge. Also I have been shopping and get in the car to start it and it will not start. Door handles would not work from inside. Windows would not open. Had to force window down enough to open from the outside. Had front door handle assemble replaced had transfer case resealed horrible smell, new tires 3 times since it was purchased had rear drive shaft replaced, fuel pump replaced had taken it to Ford just recently for what I deemed was computer problems, of course they could not find anything wrong. I was told by my mechanic the last time I had new tires put on the car that I would need new rims soon. The rims are eroding from the inside out. I have several invoices for work that was done and a few more I can't locate at this time. I would like to send them all to you. Purchase car 12/1/12.

'3 May 2013 (mileage 32,800) moab, Utah. Driving in the mountains around moab for my daughters wedding. One passenger in the car beside myself. While driving around a sharp curve, all the electronics in the car went dead. The engine shut down, all lights on the dash, the radio, ac all stopped working. Power steering, power brakes were non-functioning. This happened a total of five times. '26 August 2015 (mileage approximately 55,600) time: 6:00pm. Driving home from work. I'd stopped at a street light and when I pulled sharply out onto main road, the car went dark again and all electrical systems shut down. I quickly restarted it by shifting into neutral and starting it with the key. Three blocks later, it happened again. This was the first time it had happened on a straightaway. I was driving by myself. '6 September 2015 (mileage approximately 55,950 between san juan capistrano and lake elsinore, ca. Coming out of a sharp curve in the road while going uphill all electrical components of the car shut off. I shifted into neutral, turned the key, and the engine started up again. '19 November 2015 (mileage approximately 56,751) went over a speed bump with another passenger in the car. The Ford Fusion shut down again, and after I restarted it, two hundred yards later did it again. 'Ford has tried to locate the problem three times. Finally replaced throttle body on 22 Sept. And said that fixed problem. It didn't! Ford corporation customer service now refuses to return my last five calls
