Last week I pulled into work put my car into park let up on the brake and the car kept moving forward. I then pushed on the brakes again thinking I did something wrong looked down car was still in park. Let off the brakes again and the car continued to move forward. I had to have the car towed to a shop where they found that a piece on the shifter linkage had broke but it was part of a full assembly. Therefore with labor and the part it was almost $500 to repair. My concern was I almost hit our company fence! I have poured through other recalls and came across this same issue. But you continue to say that my car was not effected in the recall.

There has been an incomplete safety recall concern for my 2016 for Fusion since May. I was notified in may of an issue in which transmission gear shifters could possibly malfunction and cause gears not to shift properly. Today I hopped into my car and my car is completely stuck in park and will not shift gears. The car will not move. I can move the knob but nothing happens. I expect this issue to be handled for me with no out of pocket costs due to the fact that it was already a know issue the Ford has failed to rectify.

When driving my vehicle it will shake and stall and then cut off without warning and I'll have to put it in park and then it will start right back up. It's very dangerous especially since it doesn't warn you. It happens when you're driving anywhere, on highway or street.

I drive a 2016 Ford Fusion SE AWD with the 2.0L ecoboost/gtdi motor. I was at a gas station refueling my vehicle, with the 87 octane fuel the oem calls for on the vehicle. I was about 1/4 tank before refueling and I filled my tank until full. Upon starting my car, I always turn the key right before ignition and wait for the fuel pumps to draw gas to the motor, then start it. Started seemingly fine, however, while I was resetting my mileage trip counters, I noticed, and felt my RPM's drop down into the 300-400 area and my motor shook my car. I kind of was surprised as my car had never done this, so I figured maybe it was just an engine stutter. But then upon waiting a few more seconds, it did it again, 4 more times and felt like my motor was ready to stall out. I was still parked/stationary beside a gas pump so I put the car in drive to go park myself in an actual spot so I wasn't in the way of other vehicles. I kept my car running in park to see if the RPM's would drop again, but upon waiting five minutes, it did not. The RPM's were a bit wobbly though on the tachometer but did not significantly drop. No lights on the dash came on. I wasn't taking any chances, I immediately called the dealership to have my car serviced. Turns out, my canister purge valve was stuck in the open position. Sounds all too familiar, accounting that Ford issued a recall for the exact same issue with many Ford Focus models, with the exact same motor. This is a serious issue that can result in crash/injury or even death. No light came on for me and I only caught it because I was superstitious enough to bring it in regardless. This should be investigated, it is literally the same issue and I'm baffled as to how his hasn't been made into a recall by now. I know I'm not the only one who has faced this issue, so please, I ask for this to be investigated and deemed a recall as it's a big issue.

When driving on city streets, the Ford Fusion jerks hard and sputters when it changes gears (automatic transmission). When accelerating on the highway the vehicle will jerk hard upon pressing down on the gas pedal. During deceleration, when exiting the highway, from speeds of 70 mph to 35 mph, the vehicle will also sputter and jerk from the gears changing. The vehicle was taken in to a Ford Motor Company service department and no repairs were conducted due to an "inability of the technician to replicate the symptoms of the car."

I have a 2016 Ford Fusion that is under a recall but my VIN number is not. I was backing my car in to parking space I went to change gears to drive and it went into neutral and now my car is stuck in neutral on the dash the transmission is actually in neutral, but the gear shifter is in park. Now it will not move from park at all and the transmission is still in neutral and I had to apply the the emergency brake I can physically turn my ignition off and remove the key. I had no warning or anything on my dashboard.

Manufacturer recall number19S16 NHTSA recall number19V362 recall statusrecall incomplete, remedy not yet available summary on your vehicle, the bushing in the transmission shifter cable may degrade over time. This may cause the transmission shifter cable to not be able to fully move the transmission to the selected gear position. Ford has yet to repair this recall and its been over 4 months me driving with an unsafe vehicle. They even mailed me a letter back in may about it.

I was getting ready to leave my place of employment in the parking lot and I tried to put my car in drive but the gear shift was not registering. Gear shift inside the car said drive but my car was still in park. Later found out after I did some inspecting that the shift cable bushing had pop off, and that's why I wasn't able to move my car

When attempting to start car, it clicks but will not start. I had road side assistance boot battery and got the car to start, I took the car to auto zone to test battery they said battery is good. When I attempt to turn off the car and put the car in park I can remove the keys from ignition and open the door but the car never actually powers completely off, the dash board lights are still on and my car charger is still working. After several attempts of starting my car and shifting to park it finally does power all the way off.

While attempting to pull off after starting my car (vehicle stationary). The gear shift would read park on the dash and the gear shift would not change regardless of me moving it. After calling my mechanic the inspection showed the bushing came off. I received a letter from Ford a few days before about the potential warning of the bushing possibly deteriorating. I have spoken with multiple Ford reps and have been unable to get an appointment after being told that with my car being effected now, my process of being seen would be expedited. I was also told about having received compensation for a rental or loaner car while my car is unable to drive. I think Ford is giving me the run around until they can find a solution but that does not change the fact that I have been effected today. Richmond Ford Lincoln refused to service me and take my case number while belittling corporate the entire way. I also received the incorrect name from one employee. This recall process has been excruciating and as a Ford consumer this being my second Ford. I am debating if the company even values me, I definitely can't tell after continually asking for an update. The last representative I spoke with said it isn't his department and someone would reach out to me. He said that the day before. I don't know what my next steps are but Ford is not assisting during this recall situation.

My car has apparently been under a recall from Ford regarding the steering wheel since March of 2018. I have taken it to crain Ford to be serviced multiple times since 2018 and was never told about the recall. I had to have it towed to crain on Thursday night after an issue with the gear shift. Upon doing some research on the NHTSA website on Friday, I found that my car is now under 2 different recalls. I was told Friday that my car would be serviced first thing Monday morning and I would be called and updated on the situation. I also was not offered a loaner car, and upon asking if I could obtain one, was told that they were completely out. I have since had to call them twice this morning, and was put on hold in the excess of 10 minutes each time. I am currently waiting on a call back to determine what time I will be able to go pick up my car, if I can at all, today. I have been without a vehicle all weekend. I am currently having to miss work because I do not have means of transportation to get there. I am very unsatisfied with Ford, and crain Ford of little rock.
