Car stopped accelerating in the middle of the highway, yellow wrench light came on and airbag light came on. The car started shaking and came to a complete stop. I barely made it to safety on the highway full of cars. I pulled over and turned it off because it wouldn't drive. I turned it back on and it drove fine. I have researched this and realized this has been happening to thousands of people who own 2016 Fusion and yet there is no recall. I am terrified of driving it. It seems to be the throttle body that needs complete replacement but at expense of the owner despite thousands of cases. How can this be? please advise.

This vehicle is at 48800 miles and I started to receive the following warnings/errors on my dashboard when the problems began: "hill hold assist not available", "service advancetrack", ABS fault and airbag failure sign lights remain while I was driving the car. After these warnings I lost power steering assist and pulled over and restarted the car. However the warning signs did not clear and I lost ABS, traction control and airbags. I have contacted with a Ford dealer to diagnose the problem. Error codes they got from the car were C0031 and U0401. The first one is related to a short wire in the ABS wheel speed sensor at the driver side front wheel and this part was replaced at the dealer. However, after replacement all the mentioned warnings/errors remain and U0401 code remained. Dealer does not know whether these are just from communication error from the computer or these parts are actually defective. I am not able to use the car right now. In any case, all of the affected systems are not related with drivers driving habits, storage conditions and other things related to the usage of the car and seems like a manufacturing problem, even if it is a communication error or wiring problem. And the affected components are vital so if there is a production error, this should be resolved as soon as possible.

"takata recall" I was informed of the recall of the airbags on my vehicle, by letter, July, 2016. Since that time, I have contacted my local dealership for a replacement part, to no avail. There are no parts that have been made to replace the defective ones in my vehicle, and the company, as you know, is bankrupt. This is my only vehicle, and I am a single, disabled, low income (social security disability) woman, who has her 18 year old son living with me, and he also relies on this vehicle for rides to and from class of a week, as he does not have his own vehicle nor a license as of yet. Needless to say, it makes me and my son, both, very anxious to ride in this vehicle with the awareness that it could kill us if someone hit us or the airbags deployed due to this fault of the manufacturer parts. What can be done to ensure our safety? thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Air bags did not deploy in my accident. Front end damage doing about 27 mph into a side of a mini-van going about 35-40 right through a yield sign. The driver in the mini-van disregarded the yield sign in a residential neighborhood posted 25 mph and he was doing at least 35-40. I had the right-away and was doing about 27 when I slammed on the breaks at the very last second. His air-bags did deploy is his vehicle and mine did not. I would please like my vehicle checked out to make sure everything is working properly.

Upon deployment the airbag cover spilt down the middle and did not fully deploy during impact with another vehicle. This occurred on the highway, I was cut off and the other vehicle came to a full hard stop in front of me, despite applying maximum breaking force, I had no distance to stop and rear ended the other vehicle.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. While driving approximately 60 mph, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle failed to accelerate. The check engine and air bag warning indicators illuminated continuously. The vehicle came to a complete stop, shook, and stalled. The vehicle was able to restart. The dealer could not duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 9,700.

2016 Ford Fusion with approximately 7,000 miles. Driving car on highway at approximately 70-80 mph and suddenly airbag light, wrench light and check engine light simultaneously appear on dashboard. The throttle becomes completely non fuctioning and vehicle loses ability to accealerate and starts shaking. Must pull over to turn car off and restart for to resume normal functioning. Happened minimum 6 times in the course of 200 mile trip.
