The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to be inspected or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

Sierra 1500

The contact owns a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, an object struck the windshield. The contact was able to maneuver the vehicle off the road and upon inspecting the vehicle, he noticed that a piece from the front grill had detached and struck the front windshield. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the unknown grill piece needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
