While driving to work with my workers and I on HWY going 70 mph pickup just turned off on me and no longer started up. Took to Mechanic and said it was the Bosch CP4 failure. Metal debris flooded our entire high-pressure fuel system. Had to get replacement of fuel lines, fuel rails, pump and injectors and the removal/flushing of the fuel tank. Our total repair is over $12,000. which we don't have. Mechanic just finished repairing it after 11 month's but we don't have the $ to get it out from shop.

2015 GMC Sierra 2500 duramax driving East with the flow of traffic on 80 reaching the summit towards Tahoe. We suddenly experience at "change fuel filter" warning which only lasted approximately 20 seconds before the message then read "derating". upon this second notification we immediately lost power to the engine which resulted in reduced braking capability and steering at literally the top of the mountain. We were traveling in snowy conditions with many semi trucks around us. We tried to safely drift to the shoulder to the safest possible place. The sudden lack of power left my family, including 3 children, in a very dangerous position. We ended up being stranded with tow trucks being very scarce and challenging to find. The nearest rental car took 2 hours to get to, and we had to shuffle kids all over. One child was crying and scared to death at all the cars zooming by and our inability to move. It appears that the CP4 fuel pump may have failed leaving us almost instantaneously in an unsafe situation.

My vehicle's engine stopped running while I was driving on a very busy road. I lost power steering, power brakes, everything. Other motorists were swerving to avoid me. I had the truck towed to a GM dealer, and they diagnosed the problem as the fuel injector pump. I researched this online, and found that this is a common issue! this should be a major safety concern since it's causing vehicles to simply stop running at any given speed on any given highway!

The headlights on the GMC 2500 hd are not bright enough. The lights are not able light roads without street lights, makes it very dangerous. Fuel filter has been replaced twice and my truck only has 12,000 miles on it. When I asked with the life of a fuel filter should be I was told by the GMC dealership at least 15,000 miles. It is possible there is a malfunction within the senor for the fuel filter.
