Front seat is electric but will not move forward so it was left all the way completely back so my foot is way too far to reach the pedals. The seats are terribly uncomfortable, which I reported here as well, and on top of it being so far from the pedals makes the leg/back/neck horrific pain problems much worse!!!! Honda needs to fix these type of problems as I read thousands of people who are having to deal with the bad seats, broken seats, etc. Honda dealers want to charge people an UNREAL amount of about two grand just to fix this when it should be so obvious that this is a huge, widespread problem. Just google it you will see. Anyone know of any open court suit let me know, I want to get something done to my car. I have children and I am scared to death that an accident is just waiting to happen. God I pray no one gets hurt but in my car with this particular pain in the ass, plus the HORRIFICALLY UNCOMFORTABLE SEATS, I pray no fatalities occur or anyone wrecks before HONDA IS HELD accountable for it. There are THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE who have filed complaints on this as well as other websites!!!!!!!!!!!

The seats are horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just few minutes driving causes EXTREMELY painful legs, back, neck. The pain is unbelievable and feels like those very hard knife stabbing type sharp pains. After driving the car I am pretty much laid up for days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I drive the car and my feet, legs, back, and neck will tingle, feel numb and I have to literally use my left foot sometimes to use the gas and brake. Driving in this condition is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and I fail to understand why Honda has not been held accountable for this issue. I drive the car more than ten or fifteen minutes, I have to be laid up close to a week, days without almost being able to even walk. Anyone know of any suit or petition open let me know, the last one I could find was closed. The seats on this car are very hard, oddly curved, uncomfortable is not even strong enough word. I HATE the car due to this problem alone and if Honda gets by without fixing this, I will have no choice but to find me another car and probably will not never buy another Honda, Toyota Camry for me from now on, that is what i should have gotten this time!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully there will be no fatalities before Honda is made accountable for this issue!

I have a 2010 Honda Accord lx p and my wife has a 2007 Toyota Avalon. My wife won't drive any distance in my car because of back pain from the Honda seats. The Avalon seats are so comfortable it is like seating in your living room. Next month I will drive to Florida, my wife will fly and I will pick her up at the airport. I am thinking of buying a new Honda Odyssey but not sure about the seats ; I might rent an odyssey for a week to test it out.

This problem with the driver's seat has haunted me for as long as I have had the car. My wife refuses to drive the car anymore since it was causing back and neck pain. Honda should be ashamed of selling a car with this type of design fault that has years of documented complaints that have gone unanswered for years.

I bought this car used and had a Toyota Avalon before and I would go from the Toyota to the Honda and say how uncomfortable the seats were. I can't drive for long periods of time without getting out and having to stretch my back and legs. It's just awful. Can't believe how they hurt my back.

When I bought this car, I only test drove it about 10-15 minutes. There didn't seem to be a problem with the seats. The seats felt a bit like racing seats, but that was alright. After purchasing the vehicle, I noticed sitting in the driver's seat was becoming unpleasant. I began to develop pain from sitting after 20-30 minutes of driving. I had to keep my hand positioned under my butt or thigh and apply pressure just to experience a minor measure of relief. I still have to do this. This has gone on since shortly after I bought the car in late February 2016. It is now July 2016. In addition to searching for a replacement seat, I am receiving physical therapy for hamstring tendonitis and sciatic nerve pain. This condition was the result of sitting in these seats for my hour commute back and forth to work. I don't expect the physical therapy to solve the problem. I have to replace the seat or get rid of the car. It's a shame the seat is such a disaster. I purchased this vehicle because of the high degree of satisfaction I received from my former car, a 2005 Honda Accord Coupe. But that vehicle had power seats. I never once had a problem. The seats were great. But the manual seats I have now are my worst nightmare. I don't know where to go to get the driver's seat replaced with a seat that I will be sure will not cause me pain. Even ortho seat cushions will not solve the problem being caused by these manual seats. Consequently, my mechanic and I are searching for a replacement seat. I hope we find the right seat soon.

There is NO WAY you can take this car on a road trip due to the uncomfortable seats. I have been told it's because the engineers are tiny men who try them out and not your average sized person. I feel Honda should replace both seats because it's going to be hard to sell with such uncomfortable seats.

I bought this car in April of 2014. It took awhile to figure out that the sciatic problem with my feet going numb was due to the seat in my Accord. I had not had numbness in my feet until driving this car. The seat is soooo uncomfortable and I have tried to move it every which way but loose!! After going online to see if this is a problem that others may be having I discovered I was not alone.

This car was an answer to my prayers financially speaking and it is a great car except now I dare not take it on a long trip for all the misery the seat causes me. I am not able to purchase another one at this time and I would certainly like to know how this can be fixed so that I can drive in comfort. Any suggestions other than throwing the car seat as far as I can will be appreciated.

So I have a wonderful, but brief test drive. After being a Ford girl, I had finally been swayed by educated friends that Honda was the way to go. Was elated to find a an honest dealer and a clean, low millage car at a great price. Then I drove it home.

Could not bear to go above 60mph on the interstate for fear my bum would have road rash. I WAS sitting inside, wasn't I? Was scared to move or make any adjustment to my body for fear that my pain would worsen and I could no longer operate the vehicle. A mere 15 miles later - the longest 20 minute ride of my life - I arrived home and gratefully jumped out of this beautiful vehicle. I spent the rest of the evening stretching and popped ibuprofen to get to bed.

The next morning I reference the seating adjustments in the owners manual and scour the internet for proper car seat adjustment information. I make my newly learned adjustments and am happy that I no longer feel every bump in the road directly. But a mere 5 minutes of driving makes my back age 80 years. How can this be?

Another internet search reveals many complaints on Honda vehicles from 2008-2012 and possibly more. Why did I not find this sooner? I will see what the dealer can do and have also gotten the names and locations of 2 auto upholstery establishments. How can such a lovely car cause such great heartache? Why does such a reputable company like Honda continue to neglect the problem and abuse it's customers? I don't know. But my body is important. And if this can't get fixed soon, I'm going back to Ford.

My legs would go to sleep or become numb after driving the car for 25 minutes. By the end of the day my leg joints and neck were also hurting. I have been in therapy for a year, use a cane on days the pain is really bad and have difficulty standing up.

A friend pursed a Honda and after a couple of days returned the car to the dealer because he was having the same pain. He phoned to tell me about his experience, so I no longer drive this car. My husband drives this vehicle and says the seats does cause him some pain but not like it has caused me. I am in constant pain and have weekness in my leg and hip areas.

I bought this Certified Pre-owned from a reputable dealer in the Boston area. TODAY. I got home from the dealership in great spirits, then I took a 20 mile trip (40 both ways) & came back into my house miserable and having lower back and neck pain. As it was purchased under a 5 day full refund or 30 day even money (minus taxes) exchange, I am staying positive in that my dealer will "alleviate" the pain. If I have to buy a car worth a little less, so be it. Just to not get killed and roll my loan over. This being after 11 hours of possession.

This is horrific. It feels as if Honda made these seats out of picnic tables with a troll or watermelon in the back. The troll may actually roll the watermelon around just to ensure this seat will pinch your nerves and make you wish you had opted for the skateboard made out of 4 Fenway Franks and a Red Line seat. This is disgraceful to have not rectified this yet. We aren't asking for Recaros or Barker Loungers here. Make a stock seat to replace it and send us a voucher for at least the driver's seat. Unless, Honda wants all of us in A4's and Elantras. (I know they are smaller) Just way more comfortable. I suggest a fix.... Hyundai is going to knock you out cold if you keep up the Busch League bologna.

Bought my car in November 2010. By June of 2011 my back was in pain.

Wasn't until July 2013 that I started physical therapy for my back pain. After second session, the history of driving, the type of car, and number of hours in car per day (90 minutes), the physical therapist checked out the seat in my car. She determined that I hadn't adjusted the car seat to sufficiently fit me appropriately. I'd never been trained how to adjust the seat by the salesman. She adjusted the height, lumbar support, and distance between my foot and the accelerator. After this and weekly physical therapy for 2 months and then therapy every other week for a month, including core exercises, electric stimulation unit, massage, teaching good body mechanics, and the adjustment of the seat, I can drive 90 minutes a day without back pain. Can do longer trips now too. Analysis by an expert made all the difference for me.

Accord EX-L 4.5L

Bouth pre-certified 19K miles Honda Accord. When sitting in the driver seat it feels like there is a brick in my back. It is not the lumbar as that is just below the problem and retracts far enough to not caus an issue. I read many posts about this sisue. It is due to the crap design of the new saftey freature which push's the headrest forward when you are rear ended in a collision. in rear end collision your back push's a plastic piece that's behind the seat cushion which in turn is connected with a metal bar that moves the headrest forward to prevent whiplash. If you sit in seat and pull headrest forward you will feel the brick retract. It's a good idea but the design is flawed. I saw online Mazda's design and that is totaly different from Honda's. Looks like that would not cause an issue. Removing the metal bar relieves the problem but also removes the saftey feature from working so it's not recommended. I never had back issues in past but my back is noow bothering me after 3 weeks of driving to work(75 miles a day). Honda should redesign this and recall the cars it's in. I read they haven't yet as I guess there is not enough complaints. I'm going by the Honda dealer I bought the car at to see if the headrests are all raised as this also reduces the lump a bit. I seem to remember it being all the way up when I test drove it. If they are all raised it means Honda is aware of the issue but claims to not be.

I bought the accord in Nov. 2010. At first I didn't have to use the car much until February 2011. I started to have a bad back pain after 15-20 minute in the car driving. The pain is so bad that I couldn't bare the pain. The head restraint design is awful and it pushes my head forward that my chin almost drops on my chest (yes, it is that bad). I'm going to get a back support and see what happens.
