I am submitting this as a formal and urgent complaint regarding serious safety issues with a vehicle I recently purchased. The trunk opens on its own while I am driving, which creates an immediate safety hazard. In addition, the backup camera is malfunctioning, further increasing the risk when reversing or parking. Shortly after reporting the trunk issue, the radio also stopped working. I have contacted the dealership regarding these concerns, but no corrective action has been taken. Given that this vehicle was recently purchased and involves active safety risks, this lack of response is unacceptable. I am requesting immediate inspection and repair of these issues, as well as written confirmation of how the dealership plans to resolve this matter promptly. Please consider this issue urgent due to the safety risks involved. I look forward to your immediate response.

Honda needs to recall all the newer vehicles starting with 2018 to 2024. All lights on the dashboard is on and while I-??m on highway, the car would apply the brake itself and when I released my foot from the pedal, the car run smoothly again. I took the car to Honda dealership last year and I was charged over 1500 dollars, still the car is having the same issue. This is frustrating. Today, the car is showing the camera like I was trying to back up, even though the car was on drive mode. Unbelievable.

While driving, the power steering warning came on and the steering wheel became extremely tight, making it very difficult to turn. This has happened more than once, most recently on December 8, 2025. The loss of steering assist occurred while the vehicle was in motion and created a serious safety concern. The dealership retrieved diagnostic code C1250-52, which indicates an internal malfunction of the electric brake booster ECU. The steering issue and warning occurred again after the initial diagnosis. The system appears to fail intermittently and without warning. I have owned multiple Honda Accord vehicles over the years and have never experienced anything like this. Sudden loss of steering assist while driving is a safety defect, and similar issues have been reported by other owners of 2018-?"2022 Honda Accord models.

Car has lost power or gone into "limp mode" while driving on multiple occasions. Car was never listed under the fuel pump recall but had all associated symptoms & problems. Had to have fuel pumps replaced in December 2023 due to car not starting because of faulty fuel pumps. Car has been properly maintenced since purchased brand new in February 2018. currently around 121,000 miles. Car overheated this past summer, Coolant seems to be leaking somewhere as just filled with coolant month ago and needed to refill with about quarter to refill to correct amount. Oil also seems to be having slow leakage problem somewhere within the engine as there is excessive oil on drip pan. Had all 4 spark plugs changed in March of 2025. Car has been going into limp mode and looses power for few seconds to minutes sometimes, almost causing multiple accidents while driving on highways. Pull over to shut off and give few minutes to restart and able to resume driving No warnings before this occurs. Randomly all dashboard lights light up 2 weeks ago and put car into limp mode, was driving on highway at high rate of speed (65mph) safety was compromised several times while this occurs. Engine seems create knocking sounds to known due to oil dilution problem. Cold weather seems to affect issues to onset more often. Also been having stalled or rough start ups in colder weather or when engine is not warmed up. Researching these issues seems to be that 2018 Honda Accords had known head gasket failure. This should become a class action lawsuit and also a recall

I was driving in my car cut off in the middle of the highway. I was able to coast to side of the road. I took my car to the Honda accord dealership after that and was told it was my head gasket. After that repair, my car cut off once again. I took it back to Honda and was told that I now needed to replace the turbo charger which I-??m unable to pay for after paying several thousands of dollar for the head gasket.

My vehicle is losing power while traveling on the road. All of the system lights are flashing and the gas mileage is ridiculous. It sputters uncontrollably and just stalls out and drops speed really quick. I-??m really concerned for my well being. I-??ve spent so much money trying to fix these issues and I don-??t think it-??s fair to me or any other Honda owner to have to be held responsible for something that is clearly a manufacturing issue. Although there was not a crash during this incident, it-??s very dangerous and I-??m terrified to drive my car but I have no other transportation right now.

Recently bought this car a month ago. I started having problems with acceleration, as if the car was -??bucking-?? every time i would press the gas normally at a red light or stop sign, accelerating from a stop. The vehicle wouldn-??t make it up a hill while accelerating it was very hard bucking. I tried pressing the gas a little harder and the check engine light flashed and the car went into limp mode so i had to pull over. Made it back home and i was driving normally and every light you can imagine came up on the dash. I-??ve heard from many others with the accord they-??ve had the same problems but once they get it fixed the problems keep happening or the vehicle blows up. I just paid full in cash for this car and my total is fix it is already at 5k to fix.

I own a 2018 Honda Accord Sport. About 2-?"3 months ago, the car began having repeated engine misfires (P0301), hesitation, and stalling while driving. At the same time, multiple dashboard warnings appear, including Steering Assist Reduced, Brake System Problem, Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control System Problem, Emission System Problem, and Hill Start Assist Problem, these failures occur suddenly while the vehicle is in motion, creating a serious risk of loss of engine power, reduced braking performance, loss of steering assist, and disabled crash-avoidance systems. I have already performed extensive maintenance: new ignition coils, a full tune-up, compression test, spark test, and battery/alternator check, yet the issues remain. Diagnostic scans also showed U0416-68 (invalid data from ABS/VSA module) in addition to the misfire. This suggests not only a fuel/propulsion defect but also a possible computer/control module failure that links engine, brakes, steering, and ADAS systems. These conditions match known recalls for the Accord, including 23V858000 (fuel pump failure), 20V314000 (low-pressure fuel pump), and 20V771000 (BCM software issue), yet my VIN does not currently show as included. The fact that multiple critical safety systems fail simultaneously makes this a major safety hazard that could easily lead to an accident if the car stalls, loses braking, or loses steering assist in traffic. I opened a case with Honda Customer Service (Case #15868389), but they refused to cover the repair since my VIN is not listed, despite the failures being identical to those described in the recalls. I strongly believe my vehicle should be included, and I request that NHTSA investigate whether the recall VIN range needs to be expanded.

- Year: 2018 - Make: Honda - Model: Accord Sport 1.5 Turbo - Vehicle Identification Number : [XXX] I am writing to report a safety concern with my 2018 Honda Accord Sport 1.5 Turbo. The vehicle has developed a head gasket problem, which has resulted in significant engine issues. Additionally, I have experienced fuel injector problems, leading to decreased fuel efficiency and rough engine performance. Despite following the recommended maintenance schedule and addressing the issues with the dealer, the problems persist. I have been quoted $7,800 for repairs, which is unacceptable given the vehicle's age and mileage (currently 114,848 miles). I am concerned about the safety and reliability of the vehicle, especially when driving on the highway. The vehicle's blown head gasket has caused ?: - Loss of power, leading to potential safety issues on the road - Engine hesitation and shutdown while driving, which can increase the risk of accidents I request that NHTSA investigate this matter further and take necessary actions to address the recurring issues with the 2018 Honda Accord 1.5 Turbo engine. I would appreciate guidance on potential next steps to resolve this issue and ensure the vehicle's safety and reliability. - Repair estimates and records from the dealer - Maintenance records, including oil changes and fuel system cleanings - Correspondence with Honda dealership and corporate office Other owners have reported similar issues with the 2018 Honda Accord 1.5 Turbo, including fuel injector problems and blown head gaskets ? ? -??.
