The problem first started on 8-8-24 when I cranked up my car & the dashboard lit up with all of these different sensors. I called Leith Honda dealership in Aberdeen, due to that is where I take my car to be serviced at, my customer service rep (Brian) stated to wait to see if they would stay on, because of that type of car will reset itself. So later on, that day they did, go away after driving it a while. Then a sensor popped up on 8-10-24 & stayed on for just a day, then came back off again. I called again & he stated to wait again so that the car can be diagnosed, but it had cut off again. So, a few days had gone by & in the middle of driving on the highway while going 60 mph, all of the same sensors came back on & the car would not go over 40 mph due to one of the main sensors stating "Emission System Problem. Avoid Heavy Acceleration & High Speed. See Your Dealer." Along with my 21MONTH old baby in the car! DANGEROUS! My job (travel CNA) requires me to travel from facility to facility & I need my car to be reliable. The rep said it really sounds like the recall part that is going bad in my car needs to be replaced & until it stays on sticks; there is nothing that can be done. I beg to defer! Is it going to take for me to get into a car accident & jeopardize my daughter & I safety in order for the part to be replaced, after what the recall notification states that can be done while operating the vehicle. Along with the recall stating that they are only willing to replace the part for free if the car is potentially life threating or inoperable. The fact that they are taking their time replacing these parts is dangerous or mindful at all. I love my car, but I am not willing to put my daughter's life, or mine nor anyone else's life in danger by continuing driving this car and still having to pay for it. I deserve for this part & anything else that is affected, due to the part needing to be replaced. Thank you for resolving the issue.

Car lost power when trying to drive and I almost got hit by oncoming traffic. The car was fine and I had full power but all of a sudden without warning I had no power. I shut the car off and it was fine again. The car is at dealer and it turns out it is a bad (blown)head gasket. The service advisor stated it-??s a well known problem with the 1.5 liter engine, in fact he, he stated they had six Honda accord 1.5 liter cars at the dealership with the same problem.

During regular driving, the vehicle engine will stall and lose power, with 9 different warning lights coming on and ALL advanced driver assistance systems becoming disabled, and I believe ABS brakes being disabled as well. This is due to cylinder 3 misfires and the problem is intermittent, but the loss of power can come on randomly and is dangerous on highways as you have to pull over due to the sudden loss of engine power, restart the car, and hope the problem temporarily goes away. The L15BE engine used in 10th gen Accord engines is widely known to have a faulty engine block design leading to EARLY head gasket leaks (see links) which results in misfires and I think it is imperative that Honda issue a recall as thus far, they have been ignoring the pleas of the owners. I am planning on replacing the gasket ($4000 personal mechanic. Honda charges closer to $6000) with aftermarket parts ($400 additional) as replacing them with OEM parts would just allow this to occur again. Please contact me for more details. The youtube video goes into succinct detail of the design issue at hand which is mechanical in nature, however it directly effects driver and transportation safety: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=age8_Mi5sEU&list=PLTM0MsUKWXaQEG8lbsVJ99W1TvHbWiAXR&index=5 There are no shortage of people experiencing this and the problem extends to the entire fleet of vehicles using the L15 engine block including CRVs and Civics. https://www.driveaccord.net/threads/blown-head-gasket-any-recall.559243 https://www.reddit.com/r/accord/comments/1ag0fzm/gen_10_head_gasket_failure_update https://www.reddit.com/r/accord/comments/182zdzh/2018_honda_accord_blown_head_gasket https://www.accordxclub.com/threads/2018-honda-accord-sport-1-5-engine-fail.8781/ https://www.reddit.com/r/accord/comments/zn2srz/2018_15t_touring_with_blown_head_gasket_after_4 https://www.civicx.com/forum/threads/blown-head-gasket.83781/

Car started not wanting to accelerate and all of the dash lights came on, thankfully it was on a rural road and not the freeway. My 20 year old daughter was driving and was so startled by what was happening the she almost went into a ditch getting to the side of the road. Hooked it up to a code machine and it said that it was misfiring so we replaced spark plugs and coils. This happened in July of this year (2024). We took it in for both of the recalls, it was a software update and a fuel pump mount replacement. In between changing plugs and coils and doing the recalls the engine started slightly shaking. The engine shaking was listed as a symptom of the bad fuel pump mount so we thought the fix for the recall would take care of the problem. We got it back after the fuel pump mount recall and it ran great for about 2 weeks. And then the shaking came back. We took it to our local Honda dealership and it turns out that it had blown head gaskets. This is a 2018 Honda Accord that has had all of its oil changes. So it seems to me that something is wrong with some components of the engine. Other than all of the indicator lights coming on the one time we never had and check engine lights come on and the car never overheated or if it did the gages never relayed this information. two weeks after I purchased this vehicle the electrical system failed causing the car to drive in the ditch, Land Rover of mount Kisco, ny sold me the vehicle, after multiple attempts to find out what was going on with it, it was found that someone had rigged the electrical wiring harness and wrapped it with electrical tape and taped it down causing the electrical system to malfunction, after that was repaired in august 2023 the car veered off the road again this time hitting a speed limit sign the damage was on the side of the vehicle but the vehicle would not move at all and all the lights were on again, the police stated where the damage is on the car it should not had caused the car to do what it was doing after I explained I was just driving along and the vehicle just went its own way, I told the insurance company about the previous issues, they repaired the car and that's it, I got the car back 24 hrs later all the lights came back on the dashboard, they still could not figure it out this was in September of 23, by December 23 the lights came back on the Honda dealership said it was the fuel pump this was because the lights came back on and the car stalled on the interstate almost causing a collision so I had to have it towed to the dealership, I paid $1300 only to find out Honda had a recall the dealership said it was the same part number and advised me to contact Honda for a reimbursement in which Honda has refused to reimburse me after to attempts, as I looked at the recalls on this car this car has had two different recalls on the fuel pump for this vehicle, that was repaired drove the car for 4 weeks the lights came on the dashboard again, I took it back to the dealership they said its the turbo booster, I am convinced the dealership who sold me this vehicle knew this vehicle was not in any condition to be on the road with a family in it, I have asked Honda to buy the car back they have refused, this car cannot be repaired.

These Accords are an extreme safety hazzard. Experienced an instant loss of power and without any prior warning signs. Once the issue accured the vehicle was impossible to drive putting the vehicle occupants and everyone on the road at risk. Now Honda does not want to fix the problem because they feel that would be an admission of guilt. This is not the first I've heard of this issue with these vehicles and I'm sure it will not be the last please help push these vehicles for a safety recall before more people get hurt.

3 days and 26 miles after picking up my car following the repair for the issue reported in NHTSA issue #11614854, my car again displayed a bunch of various errors on the dashboard and threw P0300, P0301, and P0304 codes via OBDII. I dropped off the car at the dealership and they report that the issue this time is bad fuel injectors. This car has now had 2 major premature powertrain failures before reaching 70k miles that can result in loss of power while operating the vehicle. Losing power on the highway is a serious safety issue so I wanted to report this to the NHTSA for your records.

My head gasket went out while I was driving down the road at around 68425 miles. The result was that the car threw a bunch of error codes and went into limp mode while on the highway. I was fortunately able to pull off into a parking lot due to low traffic at that time of day but it was a major road that is full of vehicles during a busy time of day. This was a safety issue because my car effectively lost power and I was stuck coasting on a road where traffic regularly travels between 45-50+ mph. The head gasket failure was confirmed by the local Honda dealer and was replaced under warranty (certified pre-owned).

My 2018 Honda Accord 1.5 turbo (original owner) 77,000 miles. Started having numerous warning lights on dash and vehicle was violently shaken. On several occasions, vehicle had no acceleration over 10mph which caused me to have several close calls on the highway. Took it to Honda dealer and they stated that I had a blown head gasket and the repairs would cost five thousand eight hundred dollars! Unfortunately i have read numerous posts on Honda forums and hundreds of customers with the same vehicle year and model are also reporting the same problems. Honda will not pay for any repairs since it is past warranty. This needs to be upgraded to a recall by Honda, very upset customer!

The car is not starting properly, it takes a couple of tries to start, and the instrument panel lights come on. It appears that the Honda dealership in Doylestown PA does not have the part needed to repair my car and my safety is at risk and I don't feel comfortable driving the car. Can you please advise the dealership's responsibility in providing me a loaner car until the part is available? I have an appointment next week where I will leave the car until the part is available.

Engine stalled out in the middle of the road immediately after acceleration following a sudden braking event. A car had pulled out in front of my vehicle at an intersection requiring a sudden brake. After the car had passed, a quick acceleration was needed as a car was quickly approaching from behind. It was at this point the engine stalled and the vehicle would not move forward. Pushing the gas pedal would not move the vehicle forward, and the engine was making a noise as the pedal was pushed. The vehicle had to be placed into park, turned off and back on, to get the engine to function and the vehicle to drive again. During this time (at least 1-2 minutes) the vehicle was stalled in the middle of an active highway, representing a significant safety risk. The vehicle was then sent to Honda for a diagnostic and there were no diagnostic codes given and the service center could not replicate the event. Was told this was not related to the active fuel pump recall on this vehicle so "there was nothing they could do" Had to pay out of pocket for the diagnostic. No resolution on this safety issue. More investigation is needed into these vehicles!!
