I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the ongoing electrical issues plaguing my 2018 Honda Accord, VIN: [XXX] ]. Since the initial purchase of the vehicle, I have experienced recurring problems with dashboard lights illuminating unexpectedly, indicating underlying electrical malfunctions. In an attempt to rectify these issues, I have diligently brought the vehicle to authorized Honda service centers on multiple occasions. Despite their efforts, including the replacement of the electrical wiring harness in 2023, the problem persists unabated. Despite extensive diagnostics and repair attempts, the root cause of the issue remains unresolved, leading to significant inconvenience and frustration. Moreover, during one service visit, Honda service personnel erroneously diagnosed a faulty gas pump, resulting in an unnecessary replacement at my expense totaling $1375. It is pertinent to note that Honda was already aware of a recall affecting my vehicle, yet failed to rectify the issue under the recall and instead charged me for the repair. Subsequent attempts to seek full reimbursement for this unjust expense were rebuffed by Honda corporate, citing the partial financing of the repairs as a justification for their refusal. To compound matters, on Saturday, [XXX], I once again encountered a recurrence of the dashboard lights issue, signaling a persistent and unresolved defect within the vehicle's electrical system. This ongoing issue has severely compromised the safety, reliability, and enjoyment of my vehicle ownership experience. I am at a loss for further recourse and demand immediate action to address and rectify these persistent electrical issues with my 2018 Honda Accord. I expect Honda to honor its commitment to customer satisfaction and take decisive steps to remedy this situation promptly and comprehensively. The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted, and the vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the failure was partly related to the recall. The dealer performed a seat belt repair however, the contact was informed that the recall repair could not be performed until late August 2024. The contact had to turn on the emergency lights for the vehicle to function properly; however, the vehicle would hesitate and jerk while starting or accelerating. The contact stated that while driving without the lights activated, after driving for a short time, the emergency lights would illuminate. The check engine, ABS, and seat belt failure lights were illuminated. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 174,000. Parts distribution disconnect. Honda stated the vehicle is in working condition and there is no problem with it. and will not fix the recall.

All lights were on : Brake System, Emmision Control, Engine, See Dealer. Would not accelerate correctly. Sometimes would not start. Replaced spark plugs in January and also New Battery problem went away until 3/20/24. Got worse. Put oil and coolant in. Started up and lights went off but engine light came off and on. Towed to Elk Grove Honda. They said they wanted to test for coolant leaks in engine. So replaced spark plugs and did test. Leaked so they said I needed a Replaced Head gasket. This car only has 81,113 miles on it. I have researched that alot of 2018-2021 Honda Accords 1.5L are having the same issue.

With only 99,000 miles on my 2018 1.5L 4 cyl Accord, the electrical part of the fuel injectors is beginning to fail. This has caused misfires in multiple cylinders. My safety was put at risk because when the misfires occur the engine has stumbled and all warning icons light up and the warning messages for all systems come on. When this happens the adaptive cruise control (ACC) stops working and the low tire pressure icon is always lit even though the tires have not lost pressure. ACC is a safety system and I will have no warning if a tire develops a leak. This could cause an accident at highway speeds. Moreover, the stumbling could result in an unexpected rapid slowdown at highway speeds. I have taken the car to an independent shop that reproduced the condition and believes the fuel injectors are failing. I called the local Honda service that confirms the injectors are failing. There were no indications of the condition prior to the warning lights coming on. From an internet search failing injectors below 100,000 miles appear to be a common problem with 2017-18 Honda 1.5L engines as I found numerous references to 2017-18 Honda 1.5L injector failure on Honda owner boards.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the emissions warning light illuminated. In addition, the steering, the brakes, and the navigation features were all inoperable. The contact stated that a warning light illuminated with instructions to take the vehicle to the dealer for service immediately. Additionally, when the emissions warning light was illuminated, the oil became dirty quicker, and the fuel usage increased. The contact stated that the vehicle had been taken to the dealer several times and was reset. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.

The car goes into limp mode and will not go past 20 miles per hour. I recently took my Honda Accord Sport 1.5 to get checked out because all the lights came on the dashboard and it was rough shaking starting the car that eventually subsides, idles fine, and drives fine. When on the highway, trying to accelerate to high speeds, the car will start having a rough start to accelerate. I took it to two dealerships, and they said there's nothing they can do because the codes are not showing what the exact issue is and suggested that I change my spark plugs and fuel injectors (which was already done at around 60,000 miles). Utter disappointment in this vehicle.

I have a 2018 Honda Accord 1.5t Sport. It has 113,000 miles on it. And I took it in for a diagnosis due to an inspection made by Walmart and I was told by the Honda dealership I have a blown head gasket. After much research and discovery, I found out this is a common and typical issue with this model car and that Honda corporation knows about it but refuses to issue a recall. I never experienced any warnings, car never ran hot or overheated. There was never any indication that the head gasket was an issue. Now that they have determined this, they are telling me because it is out of warranty it will not be covered and I am responsible for the $3000 charge to fix the head gasket. This is very upsetting being that Honda is very aware of the situation and seem to care less about the safety of their vehicle owners and the terrible situation that this puts their customers in.

I purchased my vehicle from Lithia, Inc. d/b/a Wilde Honda in Waukesha, Wisconsin new. Wilde Honda serviced the vehicle on [XXX], after I reported that all lights in the vehicle were coming on. In addition, I experienced an incident on the highway where my car failed to accelerate, putting me in extreme danger. On [XXX], after my vehicle was returned to me, I experienced substantially similar issues immediately, with the same problems accelerating, all of the dash lights coming on, and a rumbling and jittering sound when the vehicle was first started. Wild Honda charged me $4,956.36 for repairs, which did not resolve any issues. I wrote to Alex Reed of Wilde Honda regarding these issues. Mr. Reed assured me that the underlying problem was resolved by replacing a fuel injector, and I was charged an additional $350. On [XXX], I again experienced the same dangerous issue where all the lights came on. Once again, I found myself on the highway, unable to accelerate and faced with a dangerous situation. I have made repeated demands to Lithia to reimburse me for the repairs charged to me, as well as for the fair market value of my vehicle as it can no longer be operated safely. Lithia d/b/a Wilde Honda has made no efforts to resolve this situation and disclaims all responsibility. After researching this issue, I discovered that In October 2018, American Honda notified dealerships that vehicles equipped with a 1 1.5L turbo direct-injection engine -??may experience engine oil dilution-?? and that this -??may result in increased oil level and can cause a [cylinder] misfire-?? and cause a variety of symptoms including a check light indicator due to an engine misfire, a low oil pressure light, and abnormal engine noises. In fact, American Honda reached out and requested that dealerships contact them if the dealerships came across similar issues that plagued my vehicle as American Honda was trying to determine the underlying issue. The vehicle started idling rough and would seem like it was going to stall out. Eventually every light came on in the dash board and when I brought it to the shop, the head gasket had blown. This is a 2018 Honda accord with 99k miles. Regular maintenance has always been maintained. Upon doing research, a lot of people with this make/ model and low mileage have had this same issue. This appears to be a mechanical issue caused by the manufacturer.

Hello, I-??m submitting this complaint regarding the Head Gasket issue being Blown out on my Vehicle, it only had (136,656) miles and has a good service and maintenance history which should have prevented the Head Gasket from blowing out, however I was informed by the Honda Service Advisor that this is an ongoing issue and that they are seeing much more of these vehicles coming in with a blown Head Gasket, unfortunately I had no other choice but to purchase a used engine and make the immediate repairs because Honda-??s Head Gasket-??s are in a serious Back order due to the aforementioned issue effecting many other Honda owners.
