My issues started end of December 2023, where my car would all of a sudden stop, and this happened to me on a highway at a speed of 70mph in Houston, which is a very serious safety issue. After this happened, I got this checked out at Honda dealership, they informed that this happened because of an outstanding recall for fuel pump and told me to wait till Feb 2024 when I will receive a recall letter and parts will be Ava by March 2024. By the time Feb came, I got a letter and it says that it will be available in Fall of 2024, that is almost entire year of 2024. Dealership said they can-??t do anything and told me to reach out of corporate Honda, following their advice I filed a complaint to Honda corporate and when then finally got back to me, they told me Honda corporate can-??t do anything and I will have to wait till fall 2024. I informed them that it is a safety issue and that it is effecting my job, because I am currently car less, I have to ask around to different family members to borrow their car, this is effect negatively to my livelihood; financially and mentally and Honda do not care. Now I will be out of a car for 9-10 months and I am still making payments for the car and car insurance. I also lost my job just yesterday because of this. You guys are my last option, I do not know what else I can do from my end, I need my car to be fixed so I can do support myself financially.

With only 99,000 miles on my 2018 1.5L 4 cyl Accord, the electrical part of the fuel injectors is beginning to fail. This has caused misfires in multiple cylinders. My safety was put at risk because when the misfires occur the engine has stumbled and all warning icons light up and the warning messages for all systems come on. When this happens the adaptive cruise control (ACC) stops working and the low tire pressure icon is always lit even though the tires have not lost pressure. ACC is a safety system and I will have no warning if a tire develops a leak. This could cause an accident at highway speeds. Moreover, the stumbling could result in an unexpected rapid slowdown at highway speeds. I have taken the car to an independent shop that reproduced the condition and believes the fuel injectors are failing. I called the local Honda service that confirms the injectors are failing. There were no indications of the condition prior to the warning lights coming on. From an internet search failing injectors below 100,000 miles appear to be a common problem with 2017-18 Honda 1.5L engines as I found numerous references to 2017-18 Honda 1.5L injector failure on Honda owner boards.

The car goes into limp mode and will not go past 20 miles per hour. I recently took my Honda Accord Sport 1.5 to get checked out because all the lights came on the dashboard and it was rough shaking starting the car that eventually subsides, idles fine, and drives fine. When on the highway, trying to accelerate to high speeds, the car will start having a rough start to accelerate. I took it to two dealerships, and they said there's nothing they can do because the codes are not showing what the exact issue is and suggested that I change my spark plugs and fuel injectors (which was already done at around 60,000 miles). Utter disappointment in this vehicle.

The current documented Recall for the fuel pump cannot be rectified until fall of 2024. I need to us this vehicle however its a safety concern to operate the vehicle with the possibility of injury or accident. My insurance company "farmers" will not cover me in the event of an accident or injury brought on by this recall/defect. With that said all liability is on me for using the vehicle when this is a Honda problem they cannot fix for another 6 months. I drive 100 miles a day with this car which places me at a higher risk of this happening. This is not fair or safe to put the consumer in this predicament. This is another case of firestone tire recall scandal where they ran the numbers and saw it more in favorable to save money then to save lives. Honda will not pick up a loaner nor do I have the income to support another vehicle. This is wrong.

I received a notice that my car has a recall for a faulty fuel pump system. over the last year i have been dealing with the issues of this problem and have to multiple mechanics and no one could figure out what was wrong until this recall came out. I have had my car stall on me multiple times on the freeway, my car will idle rough all the time, poor fuel consumption and my check engine light goes on and off all the time. Because of this I have been unable to drive my care for months. I called John Hinderer Honda in Newark Ohio late January since there was finally a remedy available and scheduled my care to be fixed for the recall. I dropped it off on [XXX], upon arrival an employee sat in my car and noticed that it was idling rough. I get a call the next day from them stating that because the check engine light is not on at the moment it is not a concern for them at this time to fix the recall on my vehicle even after everything that has happened in the last year. I purchased my vehicle from Lithia, Inc. d/b/a Wilde Honda in Waukesha, Wisconsin new. Wilde Honda serviced the vehicle on [XXX], after I reported that all lights in the vehicle were coming on. In addition, I experienced an incident on the highway where my car failed to accelerate, putting me in extreme danger. On [XXX], after my vehicle was returned to me, I experienced substantially similar issues immediately, with the same problems accelerating, all of the dash lights coming on, and a rumbling and jittering sound when the vehicle was first started. Wild Honda charged me $4,956.36 for repairs, which did not resolve any issues. I wrote to Alex Reed of Wilde Honda regarding these issues. Mr. Reed assured me that the underlying problem was resolved by replacing a fuel injector, and I was charged an additional $350. On [XXX], I again experienced the same dangerous issue where all the lights came on. Once again, I found myself on the highway, unable to accelerate and faced with a dangerous situation. I have made repeated demands to Lithia to reimburse me for the repairs charged to me, as well as for the fair market value of my vehicle as it can no longer be operated safely. Lithia d/b/a Wilde Honda has made no efforts to resolve this situation and disclaims all responsibility. After researching this issue, I discovered that In October 2018, American Honda notified dealerships that vehicles equipped with a 1 1.5L turbo direct-injection engine -??may experience engine oil dilution-?? and that this -??may result in increased oil level and can cause a [cylinder] misfire-?? and cause a variety of symptoms including a check light indicator due to an engine misfire, a low oil pressure light, and abnormal engine noises. In fact, American Honda reached out and requested that dealerships contact them if the dealerships came across similar issues that plagued my vehicle as American Honda was trying to determine the underlying issue. After this car was repaired by the body shop, all the automatic systems in the car started flashing and no one could figure out why. It went to four different repair shops over several months, till finally they convinced me to purchase another vehicle when this one was going to be paid off in two months. This problem was well documented by several repair places, and ultimately since it was unrepairable I had to trade it in and got bottom dollar for a non-running car that I owned since the beginning and got screwed.

Dear Sirs, This is an advisement that Honda Inc is not taking seriously the recall notice of fuel pumps in the 2018 Honda Accords. Two weeks ago I made an appointment for 11am on [XXX] at Findlay Honda on Azure Drive in Las Vegas, NV to have the recall addressed. Upon arrival at the appointed time, I was told that despite full notice of my appointment and the reason, they had no parts with no estimate for their arrival. It would appear Honda is not taking the recall seriously. Just thought you should know. Safety Issue: Excessive Emissions and Melted Catalytic Converter(environmental risk)/Fire Risk My car needs all new fuel injectors. If you read online, fuel injector issues are rampant on Honda vehicles. North City Honda in Chicago diagnosed the vehicle. The parts are on backorder. I called Honda of Grandville Michigan and they also have injectors on backorder. They told me they have 15 cars waiting on injectors, the longest has been waiting an estimated 90 days. This is further evidence the issue is rampant, greatly exceeding the manufacturer's demand plan for fuel injectors. The error codes state my car is running too rich (among others). A vehicle that is running too rich risks unburnt fuel entering the catalytic converter, where it can combust and melt the converter, causing further safety and environmental risk. The error message I'm receiving says "Emissions System Problem. Avoid heavy acceleration and high speeds. See your dealer". The error message in my HondaLink app says "The engine is not operating properly. Limit your driving and visit your dealer as soon as possible. If the indicator is blinking, stop in a safe place where there are no flammable objects. Turn off engine for 10 minutes or more to let it cool. Restart the engine. If the indicator continues to blink, immediately have your vehicle checked by a dealer." Honda's own message states there is a potential fire risk. Yet, if all the parts are backordered for 90+ days, potentially thousands of customers will be forced to continue driving on a risky vehicle.

Faulty Fuel Injectors has been a common problem with 10th Gen Honda for a lot of people, including myself. It starts off the same, all of the warning lights turn on in the dashboard randomly, we take it to the dealership and they say they need to replace the fuel injectors, with a estimate cost of $1,500+. How is that possible with low mileage cars" Even the lady who helped me at the Honda dealership told me that they should issue a recall for the fuel injectors because it is a common problem that so many people are experiencing across the nation. If you decide to have it replaced at the dealership, you have to wait months for the part to come in because there is so many orders for the same part. How has a recall not have been issued yet"! I looked online and this is a common problem that people have been having for years!
