The components and systems that are failing and malfunctioning in my 2018 Honda Accord are the engine, head gasket, fuel, injectors and turbo. While in motion, the car jerks and has issues with acceleration requiring the safety hazard lights to be come on and I-??m unable to keep up with marked speed limit while traveling due to the sluggishness of the vehicle. The majority of these issues have been confirmed by a Honda dealership as well as another car shop. There are several warning and safety hazard lights that come on and go off the dashboard. Many times, I have to pull on the side of the road due to not being able to drive this vehicle.

There is a recall for the fuel pump on Honda Accords. When Honda replaces the fuel pump, the fuel injectors starts misfiring. All the warning lights start goin on. The car says it is not safe to drive and to go to the dealer. The car is not safe to drive, after the fuel pump replacement. Customers have to pay around $2000 + $130-$150 for diagnostic analysis to get injectors replaced. It should have been part of the recall. This issue doesn't start until the fuel pump is replaced. While waiting for the recalled parts to be in stock for the fuel pump module, my car starting running rough and going into limp mode several times a day. Thus causing near accidents with my children in the vehicle. After getting the fuel pump module recall fixed I asked and had to pay for a diagnostics test to see what was causing the car to do this. We were told it was the fuel injectors and were quoted $2000 to replace those. That was done 4 days ago at the dealer, and it happened again yesterday! We took the car back to the dealer today and they have just informed us we need to replace the head gasket & turbo and had a coolant leak causing these issues?! Why that was never seen in the original diagnostics test nor a problem 4 days ago, but after spending $2000 we did not have to keep our family and others safe, we are now being told it will cost over $5000 to fix these now issues. We can-??t afford that and now I don-??t know what I am going to do! Honda needs to step up to the plate and take some culpability here and be responsible for what clearly appears to be a much needed recall for 2018 Accords! This is ridiculous. And for the service advisor to tell us this happens all of the time to these, if not daily, should speak volumes!

My vehicle was under a recall for about 9months waiting for parts for Fuel pump to be available ( recall # 23v-858) to be available. While driving my vehicle went into LIMP mode in the middle of the highway causing me to swerve and have to off-ramp quickly to avoid high speed traffic. After my recall was completed January/25 my fuel injectors are starting to fail and same situation as before Limo mode in the middle of the high way. This is a domino effect from the fuel pump. Since the vehicle had a faulty fuel pump it caused an issue in the pressure and function of the fuel injectors. I find it outrageous for the consumer to have to pay for a safety issue that was cause by the company-??s faulty part and lack of agility to react and fix the issue before it effected other parts. This has been a none issue in this vehicle but yet the consumer is the one have to pay 6k out of pocket to get it fixed.

Three times, while driving, the car went into limp mode and would not accelerate. Had to pull over, turn car off, and back on to fix the issue. Have had it looked at and they have mentioned engine coils and a new control module. Had it at the dealership in January and they did their full inspection and to fix fuel pump recall and didn-??t mention any issues regarding this.

I received a Honda Safety Recall saying that fuel pump module may have been improperly moldered and could make it inoperable. On several occasions I have attempted to make service appointments with Piazza Honda of Limerick, which they have refused to help. They kept saying they didn't have the parts and when they did, they would let me know. I called 5-6 times and they kept saying the same thing. They were also the same dealership that when my car experienced a lot of the issues that were related to the fuel pump earlier in 2024, they fixed for me for around $2000. This is the only service center local to me and they're blatant disregard to repair a known safety issues after multiple attempts to schedule an appointment with them has led to this complaint.

Last year my car had a Recall for the fuel pump, I called my dealership in Branford CT to get this issues resolved. They kept pushing me off telling me they did not have the parts and to call back in October. I called back in October for them to tell me the will not be replacing my fuel pump because the recall ended. Well this year my Car started stalling, would not turn on, and the lights on my dashboard were all lighted up. I took it to Branford dealership Honda, where I always do and they told me it was a battery issues and made me pay almost $300 for that. A week later my car started the same issues and now told me it-??s related to the fuel injectors, spark plugs, and pump and wanted to charge me over 2k. If my car was fixed when the recall came out I probably wouldn-??t have this issue. I called American Honda and spoke to Jenna who was very rude, case [XXX]. I don-??t know how a huge corporation is okay with their customers driving a vehicle with issues that can potentially lead my car to catching fire and then forcing me to have to sue. I would like my fuel pump replaced at no cost bc I would not have had this issue to begin with if Branford Honda and American Honda Cared about their drivers. I-??ve always taken great care of my car you can see the history. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Christmas Tree dashboard with all lights on appeared a few weeks ago. Took car to auto shops twice. First time I was told coil 1 for cylinder 1 was misfiring, replaced with new coil. Lights did not go away, got my codes read again and was same error message of coil 1 misfire. In the past week car would not accelerate past 15mph after start up. I was immediately concerned it was a head gasket issue since that is a very known defect for my exact make and model of vehicle. Took into my Honda Dealership where I purchased my Accord brand new. Was just told Fuel injectors need to be replaced even though vehicle has been maintained properly. To me this seems this is directly correlated with the current fuel pump recall issue, I asked the service advisor if that was the case and she said she-??d get back with me, and that she-??s currently waiting to hear back from my Lifetime Powertrain Warranty company (Fidelity Warranty Services) to see if the fuel injector replacement is covered by them. If this make and model has time and time again been known to have faulty fuel injectors and head gasket issues that directly put the drivers safety at risk and end up causing thousands of dollars in repairs, Honda needs to take responsibility for rushing out vehicles without properly testing them first. If fuel injectors are not covered under my warranty, I will be contacting American Honda to assist me with the cost of the repairs.

Head gasket replacement Fuel injectors replacement Driving my car started sputtering and jumping. I took to Honda South to get it diagnosed. I was told it needed fuel injectors and a head gasket. Also to get other things done since the engine will taken apart (drive belt, timing belt, water pump). I started a conversation with a service mechanic in the lobby and told him my issue. He told me the 1.5 turbo engine has problems with the head gaskets and they see a lot of them.

OPEN RECALL ISSUES I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the unresolved recall issue with my 2018 Honda Accord. I am a resident of Columbus, Georgia, and have made multiple attempts to have this recall addressed by the local Honda dealership in Columbus, Georgia, but have encountered persistent difficulties. I have visited the dealership several times inquiring about when my recall can be fixed. On one occasion, I was informed that the manager stated the recall could not be addressed unless my car was experiencing visible issues. Despite explaining that I was already experiencing some of the issues outlined in the recall, I was denied service. A few months later, when I visited again, I was told that no parts were available for the recall. When I called a few weeks after that, my calls went unanswered. Most recently, after the birth of my child, I visited the dealership once again and was told that all parts for the recall were out of stock. I requested to be put on a list to be contacted once the parts became available, as I am concerned about the safety of my vehicle and the need to have the recall honored. Despite these repeated efforts, I have not received a resolution, and I believe my consumer rights are being disregarded. As per Georgia-??s consumer protection laws, including those concerning automobile safety and recall procedures, manufacturers are required to honor recalls and ensure that necessary parts are available in a timely manner. The continued lack of response and failure to address this issue is concerning, especially given the potential safety risks involved. Please do note and keep in mind that I have came to the Honda business about 3 times. I am undecided of the actual dates but the year was 2024. I know I went before I had my baby in September and after I had my baby I received a minor inspection due to me complaining.

The accelerator is going out when I drive. The car drives slow and pulls back while driving. Thought it was fuel pump, took it in for fuel pump recall, & the car is still doing the same thing, no change. All lights on dashboard are on. The safety of my children & myself has been put at risk quite a few times. While driving the car getting on the freeway ramp, the accelerator went out going up an hill and luckily I was able to put my emergency lights on & able to barely get over to the right side. My car almost stalled. I-??ve taken it to the dealer a few times. When I took it to fix fuel pump recall, they said 2 other codes were coming on. I took it in again this past week to check those 2 codes hoping to get it fixed & he said now other codes were coming up. They couldn-??t seem to find the problem. The guy said they had been working on it since 9am and it was almost 4 pm when I talked to him. He called me an hour later to say it could possibly be the head gasket but not for sure. My vehicle has been inspected by the Honda dealer. When the problem first happened on the freeway warning lights came on. Warning lights on are: Collisions mitigation braking system on, adaptive cruise control problem on, hill start assist problem vehicle may roll on, vehicle stability assist system problem on, electric power steering system problem on, brake hold system problem on, brake system problem performance on, tire pressure system monitor on, emission system problem on.

Approx. one year ago, my 2018 Honda Accord LX completely shut down while traveling at 35 mph. The engine light was flashing and I lost all power with only enough to pull over safely on the side of the road, I was terrified and called AAA who came and towed it to a local mechanic. At the time I was unaware of the recall. My mechanic did diagnostic test and found nothing. He explained the car went into "limp mode", indicating there was something wrong. The car started fine and I took it to our local Honda dealer for service. They had the car for 3 days, finding no issues, but explained it could be related to the recall. I was told the parts for the recall were unavailable and I would be notified when they came in. This week it happened again! I just contacted the dealer for status on the parts and was told I am 160 on a waiting list for the recalled parts and that they were sporadically coming in. I am afraid to drive the car, uncertain if this will happen again at a high rate of speed. I am a retired senior with limited income and need this resolved ASAP. Thank you for your attention to this matter. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Check Engine light came on along with several warning messages. The dealer ran diagnostic that showed error code P0304 recommending replacement of failing Fuel Injectors. The service estimate noted "no sign of leaking head, other cylinders also showing periodic misfire, fuel trims dropping below 0.9, indicating failure". This was very surprising as the car has mileage of less than 57,000 with regular maintenance done. The realization with safety came with recent episode on 1/7/2025 when the engine did not pick up speed after pressing accelerator and I had to pull back into parking lot. A call to Honda did not help as the representative said there is no recall for this model of car fuel injector but it appears there is know issue with the 1.5T engines from 2018. As the dealer did not help any further and gave estimate of $1600, I had no choice but to have the fuel injectors replaced with a car repair shop spending $1265. I believe firmly that Honda should acknowledge the issue with the fuel injectors and recall/ cover them under extended warranty. This would improve the safety of 2018 accord 1.5T.

UNKNOWN This morning I started my car and nine code were thrown, my car was just serviced and inspected at a Honda dealership about a week ago and nothing indicated a catastrophic issue that is presenting itself now. Nine separate codes have been thrown an emissions system, two brake system, electric power steering, vehicle stability assist, hill start assist, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking system, and road departure mitigation. After researching my car, 2018 Honda accord, there appears to be a trend of owners experiencing the same phenomenon occur, along with power loss that is triggered by cold weather. I live in Texas where it is usually hot and it is 20 degrees today. I am concerned that the failure of these systems puts me in danger while driving, I am also concerned why it was undetected only a week ago and seems to have totally malfunctioned now.

My vehicle was purchased in 2021. It is a 2018 Honda Accord Touring model. The engine is a 1.5TRG. My current mileage is 88,405. About three weeks ago, my mom drove my car to the store and the dash lit up. By this I mean that the dash lights lit up for check engine light, lane mitigation, oil, etc. She was less than 5 minutes from the house and immediately drove back and parked the car. Mind you, I've driven a car with a blown head gasket. It smoked, temperature gage would show that the vehicle was hot, etc. My car never showed any signs that the vehicle was exhibiting or about to run hot or any other engine issues. At a later time, maybe a week later, I attempted to drive the car and it sputtered and barely wanted to take off. I parked it. My service appointment was 12/13/24. I paid $200 to have them diagnose and tell me the issue. I drove my vehicle to the dealership thinking that this could have been a sensor issue. Had I known that this was the problem, I would have had it towed there. The vehicle is now at my home parked. I researched this issue and from what I've seen, there are several consumers that are experiencing the issue. I own a 2014 KIA Soul that experienced a similar issue. Hyundai/KIA performed the repair FREE of charge and also provided me with a rental. I am currently still financing this Honda Accord and I think that it is completely unfair to the consumer to pay upwards of $4K for something that is clearly a manufactures issue. Aside from replacing the gasket, they also included replacing the spark plugs, timing chain, etc. This was my dream car but has since been a nightmare knowing that not only do I have to continue to pay the note but to pay $4K for repairs that aren't my fault. I maintain the oil changes for the vehicle and any other recommended services. Someone needs to hold them accountable to stand by their product.
