I was alerted that my car is part of a Safety Recall (2018-20 Accord 1.5T Fuel Pump Mtr Saf Recall Exp2) via a letter from Honda informing me that my car would need a part replaced, but that part would not be available until the Fall of 2024. When I reached out to the American Honda's Customer Support and Campaign Center stating my concerns of waiting so long with a defective vehicle, they recommended that I take my car to a Honda Dealership and run a diagnostic that would only be financially covered if my car were to indeed be declared "defective" for the recall and I would have to pay out-of-pocket if nothing was wrong with my vehicle. I asked "why would I have to pay for something that is not my fault", they said that I could just wait until I got a second letter when the replacement parts were ready and there is nothing else I could do to be proactive about this recall. I am disappointed with Honda for not being more proactive about this situation as not everyone can afford to pay for extras like diagnostics that may or may not be needed and just want to be able to drive my vehicle with the confidence that it is safe to put my family in and I cannot wait 6 months for a safe vehicle to drive.

The car won't "turn over" or start because it's there is not enough or no fuel being delivered to the engine. Fuel is not being delivered significantly enough for the engine to start. Towed to the local dealership to have the fule pump replaced. However, when the parts neede to fix/replace the fuel pump are not avaliable for months. When they tried to have the part delivered they we told no because it could not be proven to he the problem. The repair manager told me they didn't have time, interest or the personel to continue the process and I had to tow it from the dealership to an independently local repair shop where it remains indefinitely.

Just purchased my 2019 Honda Accord. At 67000 miles and it needs brand new fuel injectors. There is no warning to this issue. Causes the car to stall. And all safety sensors go out. This seems to be a common problem with the Honda accords. There should absolutely be an investigation.

11/18/22 (92,495 mi.) - All warning lights on at home and diagnosed at a Honda dealership, after daily rough idle in the mornings. Dealer diagnosed injectors had failed air/fuel test. They replaced pipe set, fuel joint and fuel injector set (all injectors). Covered under extended warranty. 11/30/22 (92, 506 mi.) - When picking up vehicle at dealership after repair, vehicle started running rough again, all diagnostic lights went on. Coolant was found leaking into cylinders when engine is cold, causing misfire. It was determined misfire caused by leaking head gasket. They replaced: head gasket, crank seal, valve coveer gasket, thermostat housing gasket and spark plugs. Covered under extended warranty. 12/18/23 (112,774 mi.) - Same failure mode appeared: all warning lights turned on, rough idle due to cylinder misfire. Took vehicle to a different Honda dealership. They verified code P0304. Cleared code, came right back. Found engine hot, coolan level empty. dry collant noticed visually on driveer side of motor, indicative of falied cylinder head gasket. Diagnosed gasket needed replacement. Currently being repaired at previous dealership.

My car has less than 60,000 miles on it has had all serviced done at the dealership and out of the blue. All of my dashboard lights came on took the car for service same day and was told I needed to replace to fill injectors and the field injector pump This seems to be a common problem with this year and model of accord so I am wondering why is it not covered either under warranty or recall

On Dec of 2022 I expereienced my first encounter with the recall and my engine was affected. I was on a busy Highway when the car made some weird noises and then stalled. When I took the car to the mechanic, he stated I needed a new engine. I couldnt understand why however I needed my car and had to get it fixed. Months later, my car again, leaves me on the side of a congested street, because it stalled. This time, im told its the fuel pump. For two months every week, I am at the mechanic because it ends up that my car has two fuel pumps and both went bad. I end up hearing about the fuel pump recall after I spent $8600 on getting my car fixed. I am imploring for full reimbursment. This matter left me on sides of roads many a times and need assistance with getting my monies back.

These cars being known for having very bad fuel injectors. So much so that Honda cannot keep up with the demand for replacement parts. These cars are now being known for blowing head gaskets and having their fuel injectors go bad before 80,000 miles. It-??s not just a simple fix because when these injectors go out they turn off all of the safety equipment on the car and make it loose all power. This happened to my wife while she was driving on the highway. Thank god she was able to pull over safely but this is an issue that needs to be looked into and addressed before someone gets killed!

Seat belt: multiple instances where the seat belth latch does not fully engage causing the seat belt to unlatch while I'm driving. Engine/Fuel: Car bogs down specially with hotter weather. Stalled twice in the past month. when attempted to restart the car, it would crank but it would not be able to fully start. I had my mechanic check the battery, fuses, and even use a scan tool with no issues to be found. The car would eventually start 30-45 minutes after it has cooled down. There is suspicion it is the fuel pump and there is a recall out for this same year, make, and model car but apparently, my VIN was not included in the recall so my local dealer is not able to honor it. I am concerned that this will turn into a bigger problem or worse, that it will happen when I driving down the highway.

I was pulling out into the road when my car stalled out of no where. Multiple errors/lights started flashing. It scrolled through many warnings saying many things weren-??t working and to call the dealer. Car would not start or move. Had it towed to the dealer. They are saying it was the fuel pump and is no longer under warranty. They say they do not know when they can get one as it-??s on back order. They will not call me back and my car is at the dealer and cannot be driven.

We own a Honda Accord with approximately 39,405 miles on it when we took it to the Bob Howard Honda Dealership located at 13201 North Kelley Oklahoma City, OK 73131 for repair/diagnosis on August 25, 2022. The failure of the Honda included every sensor displaying in the vehicle from emission to lane change, etc. The dealership stated that the only code they noticed was a low fuel pressure but there was no issue other than that and these new cars are sensitive to low gas in vehicles which they felt contributed to every emergency sensor warning displayed with safety issues. We picked vehicle back up and on August 27, 2022, my wife was stranded cause the vehicle just stopped and would not start again with the same codes as before. Just quit running while driving which was very unsafe for my wife. It took well over 3 hours waiting for vehicle to be towed cause HONDA doesn't have a shift release easily accessible on their ACCORD models when vehicle is unable to start and to be put in neutral cause it won't start. We had vehicle towed back to Bob Howard Honda and on Monday, August 29, 2022 they stated it needed a fuel pump which would cost around $1007. However, the fuel pumps are on back order with no timeframe for delivery and the warranty for this vehicle expired apparently at 36,000 miles. First off fuel pump should not have failed this soon for a brand new Honda Accord or any vehicle for that matter. This is a failure in manufacturing.

My car has stranded me 3 times by not cranking. I have taken it to Gerald JONES Honda 3 times and they claim they can-??t find nothing in the codes. They told me sounds like a fuel pump but mind wasn-??t covered under recall. I have on 25255 miles on car and shouldn-??t be having these issues. I made a video to show them how it will not crank. I am trying to share video but it will not take.

[XXX] vehicle has stalled in the middle of the highway 2 times, and would shut off mid drive. both times the car would shut off, start loosing speed and go into limp mode, and then stop. when trying to turn the car on, the whole dash board would light up with different errors, RDM problem, TPMS, CMBS, engine system error, electric power steering, Adaptive cruise etc. I have taken the vehicle 3 weeks prior to the latest incident to a local dealer, DEAN HONDA (911 Clairton Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15236), and they said they couldn't find the issue or cause. i have video and picture evidence of problem. looking at the vehicle model, 2019 Honda accord, there are 3 recalls which describe my issue, but when entering the vin number says that my specific vehicle does not have any recalls. this is very dangerous, not only for the occupants of the vehicle, but also other vehicles driving on the road, as i was in a close call 2 times already while driving the vehicle, and the dealer, and HONDA are not doing anything to prevent the issue from reoccurring. thank you email address for contact is [XXX] Sincerely, [XXX] files included, also a quick link for the files, with larger video quality https://photos.app.goo.gl/TeAVX54tLrPJcT1p7 INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Driving on the highway at speed. Started to accelerate to pass. After a very brief moment of acceleration, it stopped accelerating. Engine light started flashing on the dashboard. Due to loss of propulsion, myself and one passenger were almost rear ended. I then engaged emergency flashers. Had to navigate multiple semi trucks on my right to coast to the shoulder. Once stopped on the shoulder of the highway, I turned off power to the vehicle, waited a couple minutes and re-started the vehicle. Vehicle started, engine light was no longer on. Drove away. Took vehicle to a Honda dealership the next morning. They kept the vehicle for a week and could not replicate the issue or find anything wrong upon inspection.

I had the fuel pump recall done at my local Honda service center in Gardena, CA. They replace the potential bad fuel pump with a fuel pump kit. After the fuel pump replacement, the car has problem start up. Normally it takes 2 to 3 crank to start the engine. But now it take more than 10 cranks. And the problem is intermittent. It's very random. It does not matter if it's in the morning or night. Or does not matter if the car is being first started or had been driven. Seem the new pump is defective as well. Wrote to American Honda on several occasions, but never got a response.

My 2019 Accord was due for a fuel pump recall (NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V215000), so I took it in to First Texas Honda and they completed a -??remedy-?? by replacing it. 2 weeks later, I drove my car for the first slightly longer trip of 100 miles at night, and the car lost its power on the highway. Pretty much all the malfunction indicator lights were on, the dashboard LCD displayed failure of all major systems, and the car would not start again. I had it towed to Allen Honda, another Honda dealership, who told me that the new fuel pump First Texas Honda installed for the recall was probably not done properly and that some o-ring had worn out. They had to replace the fuel pump again. It appears that First Texas Honda made an awful mistake on the recall that could have resulted in an accident.
