I have looked into this issue and many CR-V models have had warranty extensions for this exact issue. Lucky me mine is not one of the one's in the VIN group for this extension. So I am facing a $2,000 bill. The car is still driveable but its hard to feel safe with random dash lights coming on.

The car first does not respond to the key fob and when you look inside the dash is on despite not using push-to-start and you have to use the manual key to open the door. Then the car alarm will go off and continue not to repond to the KeyFob until you, once again, use the manual key to unlock and silence the car. The only solution I have gotten is to take the battery out of my key fob and disable push-to-start function. They already replaced my Key Fob AND car battery and the problem has persisted. No recall information as of yet and I'm taking it to the dealership for further scrutiny...

The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that the ABS was making an abnormal dinging sound, and there were several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle went into LIMP Mode, lost motive power, and shut off unintendedly. The failure had gotten worse over time. The contact stated that the failure was related to Technical Service Bulletin: 22-002. The contact called a master mechanic and was informed that the vehicle had gone into LIMP Mode to protect the engine. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel injectors were leaking into the spark plugs. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 117,000. The VIN was not available.

The dash warning lights all come on when the vehicle is started. Numerous Warning messages scroll across the dash indicating just about every system on the vehicle is malfunctioning. The collision warning system stops working, the lane change warning stops working, cruise control stops working. I have no idea what else could have stopped working that could mean the difference between life and death. My vehicle has had this problem for almost two years now. This problem stops after disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes then it comes back unpredictably. Honda dealerships just guess what the problem is because there are no definitive error codes. They randomly want to change parts like fuel injectors, onboard computer, brakes, battery, and others, and charge thousands of dollars and will not refund the money when the problem reappears. This problem is putting drivers at serious risk and Honda has done absolutely nothing to find and repair the problem. There are hundreds of reports of this problem online and Honda has not responded. Honda dealerships are making tons of money from this issue and doing nothing to solve the problem.

We have had this problem more than once but this morning it nearly caused an accident. My husband was driving to work and all of a sudden the car's automatic breaking system caused the car to stop dead, causing the car behind him to have to swerve up on the sidewalk to avoid hitting him. He was not going over a metal plate, there waDSs no car stopped in front of him. This has happened at least ten times in the time we have owned the car and we have been INCREDIBLY lucky that it has not caused an accident, but it's still clearly a problem. We have complained about this to the dealership when we bring it in but they just shrug since they can't reproduce it and it seems to happen randomly. Just all of a sudden driving along BRAKE will flash on the dashboard and the car will stop abruptly.

I have had my car taken to Honda dealerships with an issue of all my warning lights would come on. No one has been able to fix the issue. The spark plugs, battery, air filters, have been replaced and diagnostic tests were done. The warning lights would stop for a couple of months and then start again. The last time all the warning lights came on my car began to stall and not got over 8 - 10 mph when I would start to drive. I would pull over, turn off my car, restart, then it would be ok to drive. The part that scared me was when I was on a busy highway, traveling close to 65 - 70 mph and my car stalled/lost power. Thankfully, I was able to pull to the side of the highway without getting myself or anyone hurt. I have since stopped driving on the highway. The last mechanic (Honda certified) has told me my head gasket needs replaced. Not something I would expect but it does explain a lot of the issues I have been having. My car is parked until I am able to get it repaired.

When I checked internet there are multiple users who are having this issue. When I contacted Honda they said they can do nothing as it-??s not an active recall issue. The entire system needs to be updated by Honda free of charge for existing customers as this is a major safety issue

The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic; however, while at the shop, the vehicle failed to start. The mechanic determined that the battery had failed, and the battery was replaced. The contact stated that within a week, the warning lights returned. The vehicle was returned to the mechanic to be diagnosed and it was determined that the spark plugs were all black. The mechanic then performed a tune-up on the vehicle; however, within a week, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle with a misfire. The contact was informed that three fuel injectors needed to be replaced. The dealer confirmed that the VIN was not under recall or covered under warranty. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 65,000.

We were traveling down hill, a narrow road which is steep and has any sharp turns. As the system failures began to light up the car became extremely unsafe. There was very little control of the brake system as well as the steering system. Fortunately we avoided a potentially deadly scenario. Once we came to to level terrain where we could eventually slow down enough to stop the car, it was shuttering the whole way until we found a safe spot to pull over nearby. The car was then towed and serviced by Honda of Ithaca (Ithaca, NY). That same dealer said the resolved the issue with confidence, that it just needed a software upgrade. The concern here is that there seems to be no resolution for this issue and no warning as to when this could and seems to be will happen again.

I was driving on a major highway at 60mph when all of a sudden the car started to automatically brake intermittently with warnings flashing. I slowed down to below 30mph in the right lane and put my flashers on traveling to the next off ramp, while the car continued to brake intermittently and not respond appropriately to applying the gas. Several warnings flashed, including: Emergency Braking system problems; Crash Mitigation Problem; Transmission System Problem; Adaptive Cruise Control Problem. I was lucky to get to a safe spot without being rear-ended. I am having the car towed to a dealer tomorrow.

The vehicle has a consistent problem where all dashboard warning lights come on at the same time, sometimes when this happens the vehicle enters what they call limp mode and won't go above 10-20 mph. This occurred multiple times to me and recently on the highway where a tractor trailer almost hit my vehicle because of the loss of speed with no brake lights. It has been to multiple honda dealerships where most recently I was told it was fuel injectors. I replaced the fuel injectors and it happened again this time the dealership told me to replace the turbo. Did that and on the way home from the dealership the lights come back on. There should be a class action law suit against honda for this common issue that they don't take seriously. Wait until someone actually is hurt by this problem.

My 2017 Honda CRV throws up ALL warning lights regarding TPMS, Lane Keep Assist, Cruise, Engine, etc...I've replaced the battery. I've taken it to the dealer and they just say we don't know what it is and we would like to hold it for 24-48hrs to do a diagnostic which is $250 out of pocket without a fix. Multiple forums state that this is a consistent problem with the 2017-2021 model years. One common fix is fuel injector replacement, but that only temporarily fixes the issue then all the lights come on again. It's a hazard and since all mechanisms are controlled by electronics, we need Honda to fix the issue or look into it as it's very dangerous to drive when dealers can't even isolate the issue.

The safety systems of the car fail upon startup and remain this way for multiple cycles of driving the car. The reality is that I cannot check enough boxes above because the form doesn't allow me. Then, the problem reappears.
