Parasitic battery drain affects my 2017 Honda CR-V. If the vehicle is dormant for just a few days, the battery drains completely and requires a jump start. I am on my fourth battery since purchasing the vehicle new in March 2017, and have also had the starter replaced when my garage could not identify the issue. When the battery is completely dead as I described, the key fob will not open the doors, and you must enter the vehicle by using the physical key located inside the fob. All doors must be opened manually, and the trunk liftgate (where one typically keeps jumper cables or battery booster pack) does not function, rendering access to the rear seats and trunk very difficult. When a jump is successful, all of the safety systems reset and warning indicators do not disappear until the car is driven for several minutes. Honda has an electrical problem or is using batteries that are too small for their vehicles. I wouldn-??t expect a car that has been sitting for months at a time to start on the first try, but a few days (even a long weekend would be an issue) is unacceptable.

All of my warning lights are on. The above checklist only lets me pick 3 items total but every warning light is on. Brake hold system, power steering, hill start assist, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation, road departure, electric parking brake, tpm, emission system problem, all wheel drive system. My car has went from driving 70mph on the highway to suddenly going to 10-20 mph! Super dangerous and this has happened 2 times. First time in March 24-?? and again May 24-??. The reset resolved it briefly but it returned again and again. Now all lights are on and it scares me to drive on the interstate because I don-??t know when it will happen again. My safety features do not work on my car when the lights are on. I have had the codes checked and reset 2 times. Codes P0172 & P0303 were a couple codes it shows.

All dashboard lights come on occasionally, since 40k miles. Car now has 70k. I've had it serviced regularly and battery replaced, nothing seems to work on preventing this from happening. Dangerous if system is reading that there is an issue when there is not, and it affects performance of the vehicle until they turn off on there own. Happens anywhere between 50 and +500 miles, no rhyme or reason outside of possibly linked to remote starter, which tends to more consistently occur when using.

All warning lights are active on the dash touch screen and the IP. The warning is audible and visual and cycling rapidly and very annoying. Dangerous when driving as a distraction making driving after dark very dangerous. This is the second time in a year this same problem has happened. We are the original owners of the car bought from Art Mohen Honda in Jackson Michigan in 2017. The first incident was intermittent and the touch screen would clear. unrelated to the computer problem we we in a collision and during the repair process the car was taken to Art Mohen Honda and faults were cleared on the computer. This lasted 7 months and now the computer is in complete fault as described above.

Two times today the infotainment screen goes black and starts beeping like crazy. You have to pull off the road, turn the car off and then reset this. The beeping noise is so annoying you have no choice but to pull over. Dealer said no fix. Why can-??t Honda fix their problems. Many other Hondas are having the same problem. I will submit this form every time this happens, which seems to be daily now.

Stranded over the years of the cars life with multiple dead batteries. Most recent after stranded with car that wouldn-??t start had it replaced and car electrical system randomly went off triggering alarm and draining battery. The amps were way over Honda standard being drawn from the battery. After couple trips to dealer it was the bcm that needed replacing with only 56,000 miles on the car.

Since I have owned this car bought in 2017 the info screen randomly turns black and beeps. You cannot tell at that is going on with the car. You can-??t adjust the heat, defroster or the radio. This has happened hundreds of times. Honda says they have no fix. I read you have to pull over turn the car off, than start it up and hold the volume button down on the radio until it asks you to reboot the system. Ridiculous, I-??ve never had a car with so many problems.

Recurring parasitic battery draw down to below normal level to start vehicle. Have replaced battery 3 times in less than a year. After many trips to the dealer about the same issue. Honda dealership charged me $500 for a diagnostic. Rv has an Electrical problem on the engine along with Dash Board. They are charging more than $6,000 for repairs with uncertainty that issue will be solve. My CRV has 37,000 miles which is still new. Noticed same problem reported in Internet forums. Google -??2017 CRV battery problem-?? for more examples reported by other CRV vehicle owners. I believe that this problem is an extensive one that affects many owners and should be determined to be a safety recall issue. Now I have no confidence in the safety of the vehicle and won-??t be driving it at night so as to avoid the possibility of being left stranded away from home.

My 2017 Honda CR-V decided to brake all by itself while driving on the highway going 65 mph. This incident first happened to me in May 2023 on a clear sunny day with my 1 month old baby and fiancé in the car. My fiancé thought I slammed on the brakes but in fact I did not, I was on the highway going 65mph. I was so scared because I didn-??t even know my car was capable of braking on its own until that day. Everything in the vehicle flew to the front of the car, luckily no one was behind me or in front of me at that time and we were all okay but we were shaken up. The second time it happened, I was with my fiancé again on a backroad about a month later with no one in front of me or behind me, again on a clear day and my car slammed on the brakes by its own. From that second time on I always turn off my collision mitigation system hoping it makes a difference and does not do it again. I love my car but it is a complete hazard if it brakes on its own with no warning prior to it happening. I did call Honda to see if this was an issue or if there was a recall but the lady told me there is no recall at this time and this was the second time she has heard of this. I do not know what will cause the car to brake on its own, I can-??t replicate it on demand, it is very random. I made sure my sensors were not obstructed and were clear. Hopefully Honda will do something about this issue, this is completely unacceptable.

The infotainment systems is failing. Volume knob does not change volume correctly, CarPlay goes in and out, chronic infotainment beeping occurs, infotainment system changes source without input. This creates distractions while driving. It was taken to Honda however they reported no fix for this at this time but mentioned a potential recall on the way due to other drivers experiencing similar issues.

While driving at highway speeds the electrically controlled parking brake engaged resulting in a hazardous situation requiring my son to pull over off the road. The entire electrical system was acting strangely with hazard lights coming on randomly, alarm system going off randomly, and keys fobs not working. Honda dealership determined the issue to be a bad Body Control Module (BCM).

3 main issues: (July 2023) Suddenly when trying to accelerate on the interstate, I could not. I pulled over, turned the car off, and back on, and did not have the problem again for several months. (December 2023) Car started to sputter upon turning on. After a minute it ran fine. Continuous problem. (January 2024) Every single service light came on. Car would still operate but without cruise control, lane detecting, electric brake and every other feature. Lights remain on and flashing while driving. Still sputtered upon turning on but would stop after a minute. Several times when putting in drive, would not accelerate past 15mph approx). After restarting, the engine would seem to operate fine while all service lights remained on with functions of each not working. One day the car operated fine and did so for several days. Then the problems started again. I took it in for service and the dealer said it was a fuel injector that needed replaced. Waited for a part for 3 weeks and got the needed repairs. When I picked up the car it seemed to operate fine. The next day all problems started it again. It is currently in the shop to look for the cause.

The car has a warranty that was extended because of camshaft issues. The warranty expired 2023 I bought the car in 2023. The issue started happening in 2024. The car will just stop and not go no matter how much you press the gas. So driving anywhere at any speed the car will just all of a sudden stop. it-??s extremely dangerous and obviously it-??s a problem that Honda has already recognized

Service Bulletin [XXX] dated [XXX] corrective actions (dual special software updates) where followed and the frequency of incidents dropped dramatically, but after multiple dealership visits (Hardin Honda of Anaheim, CA) the center stack touchscreen still blanks out randomly while driving. Yes, the full vehicle is available for inspection. The screen continues to also -??freak out-?? as shown in the following videos where totally random commands are being made. The blackout happens more but this still occurs periodically too. Nothing seems to fully correct the root issue. I show the dealership the videos I-??ve recorded showing the issue but does not occur by the time the technicians test drive it. When it first happened, because it was so dangerous losing many controls, I also opened a case with American Honda customer relations ( #[XXX]) with -??Jose-?? who noted the details but there was no response or followup because I was two months over warranty despite low mileage and simply out of luck. He said ask the dealership for -??good will assistance-?? and you should get the majority of it covered probably bring it down to around $300 a replacement center stack touchscreen rather than over $2,000. While driving the car it began to spit and sputter and lost power to the point I had to pull out of traffic to the shoulder, stop, and turn hazard lights on. While there I turned the car off and restarted it. I began to enter back into traffic, got to about 10-15 mph and all of a sudden the car ran choppy and every light came on the dash displaying a problem with every function of the car. My husband works about a mile from where I was so I drove from where it happened to his workplace. From there the phone calls began to obtain a tow to the dealership. Diagnostic results said head gasket was leaking and coolant was fouling the spark plugs. Dealer quoted $5700 for repairs. (25 hours of labor). Around 86,000 miles (10 weeks ago) the same dealership replaced fuel injectors and spark plugs for $1700. Now the 2017 car is just under 90,000 miles.
