1. gasoline leaking in to engine oil. Evident by gasoline smell and high level when checking oil. 2. poor or no heat in cold weather conditions. This causes a safety risk driving in snowy weather. Windshield will not defrost. Typically happens during stop and go city driving. Service appointment is currently scheduled for 12/6 and issue will be reported to the dealer also.

Oil dilution problem; we have experienced the burning of gas/oil smell in the interior from the purchase date of the car, engine oil smells like gas, oil level high on dip stick, cold in our state, drive car plenty of miles each day at 65-70 miles per hour - should be burning off gas, recent oil change at 15% oil life - oil was high on dip stick past fill mark. Contacted Honda. Made complaint. They said our state was not covered in recall because our state is not cold enough. They said we need to take our CRV to Honda dealership. I have made an appointment with dealership.

I can smell gas in my cabin every once in awhile. The fix for this issue was promised by the end of November, yet we have no information yet. I had reported this issue to my dealer in the past, at the time they told me it was nothing. On my last visit they claimed they had spilled some oil during the oil change and that was the smell. They seem to be stalling while they await a fix. They already have a recall issued in china, why not here? -- gas in oil (https://www.cars.com/articles/fix-coming-for-Honda-CR-V-oil-fuel-problem-details-still-unclear-1420703180990/)

The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. while driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle decelerated to 35 mph and the check engine symbol illuminated. The contact called valley hi Honda at (760) 962-9600 (located at 15710 valley park ln, victorville, ca 92394) and was informed to have the vehicle towed to the shop. The vehicle was towed to the same dealer where it diagnosed that the mass air flow was high. The technician added fuel conditioner, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer where the technician changed the oil and updated the computer system. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure was repaired. The failure mileage was 47,100.

User interface (ui) for radio operates inconsistently. Began having issues within a few weeks of owning the vehicle. Touchscreen repeatedly freezes, goes black, or the volume is unable to be controlled. Frequently the volume will go all the way to the highest level alone or while you are trying to adjust it up/down. The only solution for all of the radio issues are to roll the windows down so you don't lose your hearing and pull the car over, shut the car off, & restart the car. This is startling when the volume goes all the way up and is a major safety concern. You cannot hear what's going on around you & are in a dangerous predicament in trying to get pulled over somewhere safe to restart your car. I began reporting the issue in September 2017 to my dealership and was told the problem was with apple. Now Honda states that it is a "known issue" but has provided no solution. I have numerous videos of these occurrences for documentation. Additionally, my engine oil smells of gasoline. The dipstick reads high and the Honda dealership has advised me to change the oil every 1,000 miles and to not drive short trips. The engine hesitated once while in traffic. The engine does not heat up at idle and during cold weather you cannot operate your window defroster. This causes safety issues because you can't see out the windows. The only solution is to ride with the windows down when it's cold in order to see. While driving the car down the interstate at approx. 20,000 miles I heard a pop. When I arrived at my destination, I saw that the gear shifter knob popped out. This rendered me unable to shift my car from drive to any other gear. Honda seems to be aware of this issue, as the service tech and advisor both stated that this happens "all the time." Dealership replaced knob. Honda made a defective & dangerous product. They refuse to remedy the problems.

I bought this car April of 2017 and I already have a electrical problem after a month. We went for a vacation and as we went back, my car is not starting anymore. I reported this to perfection Honda and they told me that my battery is in 100 percent ok. Last thanksgiving (2018) it did the same thing. The biggest one is engine oil smells gas on it. I tried to report this to perfection Honda, albuquerque New Mexico but reasoned out that there are no recalls for this car. I'm not recommending CRV ex and upper models to any consumer same with perfection Honda for poor service quality.

Engine oil was 1 quart overfull. Oil smells like gasoline. Engine oil visibly thinner than normal. Reportedly, this problem is systemic with CR-V's as ours with the turbo 4 cylinder. The gasoline should be evaporating due to engine temp; but, it's not -- as a result the gasoline dilutes the engine oil and causes the oil level to rise.

Engine stalled multiple times in last one year when accelerating from yeld/stop. It happed twice while yielding and merging onto highways; we were lucky there were no vehicles on highway during merging, otherwise situation would have the worst. Also all warning lights on the dash board flashes with failure warnings. At that point engine almost stalled running only at speed of 10 M/H atleast which helped me to pull off the highway. I switched off and on, engine came live, but all the warning lights were still there. Warnings on the dashboard were cleared only next day after whole night idle. I took the vehicle to Honda dealer, explained the problem and also provided them the video that my friend sitting in the passenger seat recorded while incident happened. Dealership tried to pull the error code, but none were found. Dealer asked me to keep the vehicle with dealership as they need to reproduce the issue. Fortunately they reproduced the exact same issue, and found the engine cylinder misfires in 1 and 4. they intimated Honda engineering for assistance, and Honda assisted them to recalibrate the system without finding the root cause. Dealership recalibrated and directed by Honda and told me that if the issue happens again that will be fixed under warranty. All these transcripts were recorded in service history of my vehicle. The same issue appeared yesterday again. When I researched about the issue on internet, most of them complained about the enginle oil and gas mixup. I checked my oil level with oil check stick provided by Honda, and oil levels are way above than max mark and oil smells like gasoline; and more over the oil look very thin almost like water thickness.

My 1.5L turbo charged engine has a strong gasoline odor in the engine oil. So gasoline is mixing with my engine oil and may cause early engine failure or a safety issue. I noticed the gasoline smell when changing my engine oil and the car is parked.

Since purchasing my Honda CR-V 1.5 turbo in 2017 I have experienced two episodes of my car stalling out while driving on nyc streets. On both of these occasions I narrowly avoided getting rear ended and being forced into the car in front of me, due to the fact that the car behind me swerved to avoid colliding into me. I have also experienced many failures of my Honda sense system whereby my adaptive cruise control system failed, my road departure mitigation system failed, where my audio power went off, my auto high beam system had failures, which lead me to feel very uneasy driving my vehicle. At all times, my vehicle was in motion. I have experienced these system failures while driving on city streets as well as while driving on country roads and also while driving on highways! this was not a one time occurrence. These things have happened many times!

Fuel is mixing in oil. The oil dipstick smells like gas and there is a gasoline smell in the cabin when the heat is on. Honda calls it abnormal oil dilution. Took it to the dealer he put documentation of oil smell on dipstick on receipt but said Honda has no fix for this in Kansas. Called Honda of America customer service referred to claim management team who said no fix for this in Kansas and he "doesn't think it will hurt the engine" even immediatly after oil change the dipstick still smelled like gas even after wiping it. I believe that oil dilution can cause wear damage to an engine. I drive my CRV 3 miles to work.

Vehicle has gasoline that gets into the oil, raising the level when the oil is checked. There is a very strong odor of gas when you check the oil. The car will be running at highway speed and all the dash lights flash and engine loses power and you have to cruise to the side of the highway. Lights then go off and engine runs fine, but there is still a strong odor of gasoline under the hood and especially in the oil. We are afraid of a possible fire, engine damage, or losing power and control (power steering, power brakes, etc.), possible causing an accident.

Engine oil being diluted by gasoline contamination, overfilling the crankcase. Liquid level is above the maximum level permitted on the dipstick. Known problem with 2017-2018 Honda Cr-vs. Safety issue because it can cause stalling while driving, though I have not experienced that yet. Vehicle was stationary when discovered.

Oil dilution. When checking the level of my oil, it is way overfull on the dipstick. I took it to the dealer ( roush Honda - medina ), and was informed that yes, the oil level is high, and they confirmed oil dilution where the oil is diluted with gasoline. They informed me that it is normal and does not pose a problem. I do not believe them, I have read of instances where peoples CR-V's have stalled out, and of premature engine wear. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle. Gasoline in the oil can not be right.
