It’s SO sad that in order to make billions of dollars in life, you have to screw people over! There’s no integrity at Honda, they should be ashamed, but instead, they're just wallowing in all our money and laughing at us. People suck.

Oh, and I love how they demand our vin number so we are verified and then it just tells you your vin is invalid! NOT BUYING HONDA EVER AGAIN. Take that you sycophants!

I have a 2006 Honda Coupe in Nighthawk Black. I am the original owner. My car is garage kept, hand washed & waxed. My paint is chalking & cracking. It is not due to the elements outside either. I went to Honda and they said this was definitely a recall but when they checked they told me Honda would not honor it because it is past the expiration. I was never notified of a recall on the paint ever. The chalking is spreading & looks terrible. My neighbor who is in the auto industry told me I need to keep calling the headquarters until they fix this because he also had a Honda and it is a defect on Honda's part. Customer service used to be #1 at Honda, not anymore. They don't care if they lose customers.

My car's clear coat is coming off!! I'm so angry!! Honda only did recalls on certain colors of the 2006 Honda Civics, And of course mine wasn't in there because it's gray. it's stupid because my car is having the exact issues with the paint as the ones that were recalled and I can't get any help to get mine repainted because of it. I don't have the money to have my car repainted, and now it's looking so ugly soon it's going to look even uglier. My car isn't going to be worth crap anymore because of this there's nothing I can do at the moment so I'm really angry. I wish I could sell this car and get another one, but with this paint issue my car isn't worth s***!!! Honda needs to do something about this year make and model, instead of letting everybody else suffer and end up with a piece of crap car, due to their faulty and mistakes that none of us knew when we bought this car or I guarantee you none of us would have ever purchased this car. This is so wrong of Honda with their reputation of good cars good reliable cars two totally not give a care to all of us who have a 2006 Honda Civic. I wish there was a way we could all get together and Sue Honda!! Make them not just repaint our car but give us a new car personally cuz this car has so much problems with it it's crazy!! These cars are considered lemons in my opinion maybe we should go fight the Lemon Law on this also on Honda. You should try to get a whole bunch of people together and go protest Honda with these 2006 Honda Civics. Makes me mad because I'm poor and disabled, and I got this car as an investment to last me a long time. I'm not sure if I'll be able to afford another one!! So This is BS. Now it's making me wonder what else is going to go wrong with his car and when and what Hondas going to do about it. makes me mad because I never got any information from Honda sent to me on the warranty extension either of the engine block crack so it could be replaced and now mine is expired back in July I was never told. So due to their mistakes I suffer the consequences which is BS. I'm not sure what else other people with a 2006 Honda Civic has had issues with besides the paint, the engine block, visors. I've had problems with my driver seat breaking and needing to replaced. This car is just a piece of crap junk, and a lot of it I've noticed is cosmetic issues. Still it doesn't matter it screws up our cars makes them look like crap and to where we can't resell them due to it. Honda needs to step up and fix these cars or do something because I know they have heard millions and millions of complaints about the paint all the 2006 Honda Civics not just the specific colors. so they're aware of it they're not stupid they're just avoiding us purposely cuz they don't want to pay for it, all about money money that they don't want to put out to have to fix who knows how many cars are out there, but they would be responsible for repainting. To me they need to put a lifetime warranty on these Hondas due to this paint problem, because from what I know even after it's repainted it can do it again. Also this paint can start messing up but any time from 2006 to 2018 and on so does it matter how old they are they still need to fix it. I don't know what I'm going to do besides let my car's top coat peeling off of my car. it sucks because I can't afford to get it repainted so I'm screwed. Know my car is going to look like crap and ugly and it's going to be very embarrassing to me. I'm just worried what's going to come up next, and when.😡😡😠🙁😭😭

clearcoat and paint problems clearcoat and paint problems clearcoat and paint problems clearcoat and paint problems clearcoat and paint problems

I have had my Honda Civic for 12 years. At about 5 years (not sure exactly), the paint job started to look bad. A few years later, I received a letter from Honda saying they were extending the warranty for the paint job. I took it in and got the sections of the care repainted that were in bad shape. Only a few years later, the paint job started to look bad again. I had the car at the dealer for something else and I asked them if they would do anything about this. They said no, only one paint job per car. Now the paint is looking awful!! People ask me what is wrong with the car. I have noticed other Hondas looking the same way. This paint issue has been an issue for many years. It has nothing to do with the age of the car. I am so disgusted with the look of this car that I will never get another Honda, even though it has been a good car otherwise.

clearcoat and paint problems clearcoat and paint problems

Vic Bailey Honda said the paint recall only took care of repainting the engine and trunk hood and roof top up to the trim edge and nothing else. Well, Honda, your inferior paint is on the entire car and you are responsible for the quality of components on the ENTIRE car. Why didn't you just use a UV additive in your clear coat? It would have been a lot less expensive because I will not be buying a new Honda again. I don't do business with vendors that can't be trusted to fix the problems they are responsible for.

I am the original owner of a 2006 Honda Civic LX (galaxy grey). I received the recall for the paint peeling on the roof and trunk hood and had it performed as soon as it was issued since I was having the problem of the paint clouding and starting to peel. Approximately a year later, the front and rear sides are also having a horrible peeling problem. I keep the car in good shape...it now has only about 83000 miles on it. I was hoping to keep the car for several more years since it is running great but it looks like crap. I think Honda is very aware of the continuing issues, yet do nothing to satisfy their loyal customers. This is my 2nd Civic but is sure to be my last.

clearcoat and paint problems

The clearcoat/paint on the roof of my 2006 Honda Civic EX, color Galaxy Gray, looks terrible! I kept my car in a garage which I believe delayed the clearcoat/paint problem. I do not feel it is fair to put a time limit on when a factory defect can be fixed when the problem could begin at any time. I've seen some other Hondas, twin to mine, and the paint/clearcoat is missing on the trunk, roof and hood! I've kept my car very clean and nothing I have done has caused this issue!

The paint on the car is showing fading, spotting and looks really awful. It seems to be spreading and getting worse. It is on the roof, hood, rear of the car and makes it look like a real clunker. I would have expected the the paint on a Honda vehicle would stand the test of time.

I would like Honda to take responsibility for this and to repair the problem.

Thank you

I am extremely disappointed and disgusted that Honda (dealership and the company itself) is refusing to help me resolve this issue. I have taken extremely good care of this car and this is a defect that should be addressed by Honda by issuing another warranty extension.
