Crosstour

When driving on dark narrow roads, there is little or no visibility on my right side unless I turn on high beams--which I can't do if there is oncoming traffic on the other lane. If I go up an incline, I see what appears to be a dark shade that lowers to the point that I can see just a little at the bottom. As I pulled out of the dealer's garage at night, where I face a row of tall trees, there is a distinct separation of light and darkness across the trees, which the dealer said is exactly as it should be. It is very frightening when I experience the above, not being able to see a curb, ditch, etc. I thought it was my eyes the first time when alone, but since then, two passengers witnessed the same thing. If this "is as it should be", it is a very dangerous flaw. As for the seat and visibility issues, I am short and the seat is raised to its maximum. That and the little ledge outside the windshield often hinders my view of curbs, especially when pulling out of parking lit exits with curbs on both sides. As a result, I have jumped curbs a number of times. I have been sitting on cushions but that still doesn't help much--plus it affects my alignment with the lumbar support.
