The suspected failure involves the front axle/CV (constant velocity) joint assembly, part of the drivetrain system that transfers power from the motor to the wheels while allowing steering movement. The vehicle produces a repetitive clicking/clunking noise during turns, particularly under light acceleration from a stop. This symptom is consistent with a failing outer CV joint or axle shaft component. The vehicle and all components are still installed and available for inspection upon request.A failing CV joint or axle can lead to loss of drive to a wheel, joint separation, or sudden drivetrain failure, especially during turning or acceleration. This creates a risk of loss of vehicle control, particularly when entering traffic, turning at intersections, or maneuvering at low speeds in populated areas. The clicking occurs during normal driving conditions, indicating a potential mechanical integrity issue that could worsen without warning. If the joint fails completely, it could result in sudden immobilization in traffic or inability to control vehicle movement safely. The vehicle has been presented to only the dealer, and they initially replaced but the problem persists. They do not have an answer other than when I presented bc my tires were showing serious wear, they refused to replace and said it was not connected to CV joint problem. No warning lamps or messages have appeared.

I have a 2024 Honda Prologue that has 8000 miles. When making left turns, the car has made very loud and clicking noises from the front axles that are very disturbing and startled me while driving. It occurred again. I am taking the car to the dealer for inspection. But it has been confirmed by the dealer that there is an axle problem and they have not been able to get the right part to repair/replace. There were no warning issues prior to the incident. My passengers and I were jarred by the loud noise but we were all seatbelted.

On 2/19/2026 I was taking an freeway exit ramp from I 15 south to Carrol Carrol canyon and I stepped on the brake but the car did not slow (my perception was it was speeding up), the vehicle collision warning did not sound and the vehicle did not emergency brake, therefore I hit a stopped vehicle at a stoplight. The air bags did not deploy. Attached pictures: Left side is the vehicle was rear ended. Right side is the Honda Prologue

Vehicle Information Year: 2024 Make: Honda Model: Prologue Purchase Date: February 10, 2025 Mileage at Time of Issue: Approximately 40,654 miles Date Problem Occurred: February 19, 2026 Complaint Description: I purchased a brand-new 2024 Honda Prologue on February 10, 2025. On February 19, 2026, I received a warning message on the dashboard that stated -??Service High Voltage System.-?? At the time the warning appeared, the vehicle had approximately 40,654 miles on the odometer. This warning concerns me because the high-voltage system is a critical component of the vehicle-??s electric power train. A malfunction in this system could potentially affect the vehicle-??s ability to operate safely, charge properly, or maintain normal performance. Since this is an electric vehicle, any issue with the high-voltage system could create a safety risk, especially if the vehicle were to lose power or fail while driving. I am submitting this complaint so the issue can be documented and investigated in case other 2024 Honda Prologue vehicles experience the same problem. At the time of submitting this report, I am not aware of a recall addressing this issue. I will be taking the vehicle to a Honda dealership for inspection and will keep records of any diagnosis, warning codes, or repairs related to this problem.

I am submitting this complaint regarding a recurring safety defect in my 2024 Honda Prologue (VIN: [XXX] ), serviced at AutoNation Honda Chandler in Chandler, Arizona. Most recent service reference: Invoice #XXX. The vehicle has experienced a repeated knocking noise coming from the right front wheel area, particularly when turning right or left at low speeds with the steering wheel fully turned. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a failure of the front wheel drive half shaft (outboard passenger axle) and replaced the component. This same part has now failed three times. Despite multiple repairs and part replacements, the problem continues to return. The front axle/half shaft is a critical drivetrain component, and failure of this part can affect steering control and vehicle stability, especially during turning. Between all service visits, my vehicle has been at the dealership for nearly one month in total. Most recently, my third appointment was canceled, and I was informed that there is currently no solution available for this issue. I am extremely concerned about the safety of operating this vehicle due to the repeated failure of the same drivetrain component and the lack of a permanent repair. This ongoing situation has caused significant stress and raises serious safety concerns. I am requesting that this matter be investigated, as it appears to be a recurring defect affecting a critical vehicle component. Backup Camera Failure (Occurred at approx. 1,000 miles) Part was on backorder, the rearview camera remained inoperative for approximately 99 days (February 22 through May 31, 2025). This rendered the vehicle non-compliant with federal rearview camera safety requirements. Emergency Braking System Issues (Ongoing) Compounding this, the vehicle-??s emergency braking system would activate erratically and without cause, including: -??When entering or exiting my driveway -??During normal lane changes -??When driving near trucks or concrete barriers Because these events occurred repeatedly and unexpectedly, I was forced to disable this safety system to avoid sudden braking events, further compromising vehicle safety. Broken CV Axles (Officially diagnosed at approx. 6,000-7,000 miles) -??On May 31, 2025, the vehicle was returned to the dealership for backup camera installation and to revisit the knocking noise, this time properly documented. -??That same day, both the left and right CV axles were diagnosed as broken, and I was told the vehicle was not safe to drive. -??I had unknowingly been driving in this unsafe condition for almost three months. -??The vehicle remained in the dealership-??s possession until June 5, 2025 (6 days), Recurrence of Knocking Noise and Third Service Visit (January 10, 2026 -?" Approx. 15,000 miles) At approximately 15,000 to 16,000 miles, the knocking noise had returned (in both directions of steering) and I brought the vehicle in to be diagnosed -??The dealership acknowledged hearing the noise. -??I was told the sound is a -??well-documented issue-?? with this model and considered -??normal.-?? -??I was informed that the vehicle was safe to drive. -??I was told Honda is working on a redesigned part and that a recall is expected in approximately six months to one year. -??I was specifically told Honda will not authorize replacement of the same axle parts again, as they continue to fail, and that I must wait for a recall remedy.

When turning my vehicle I hear a clicking & cracking sound in the cv joints of the car. It happens in both directions. This can be a safety issue when driving if the axial or CV joints fail. It could put myself, my family & other people on the road in danger if this happens & the joints go out or fail. NO warning lights it just happened over time. the car has only 14000 miles at the time of this complaint.

The automatic emergency barking system suddenly applies even when there are no obstructions. Happens regularly. I was almost rear-ended at a stop light by another vehicle because of the sudden application of the emergency braking system, even though there was nothing in front of me. Battery 'Service vehicle now' warning consistently comes on with warning to reduce acceleration even when the vehicle is not in motion.

Hondalink cannot stay linked to the car and frequently will not connect at all. Last week, the car locked with my keys inside, and Hondalink could not connect to unlock the car, keeping me locked out with my sleeping child in the car until someone could bring me my spare key to get in. This was terrifying and a huge safety risk.
