There is a problem with all Prologues with the CV axels. Mine has had an issue for awhile and I brought it too a Honda dealership and they said no fix for it. Anyone that has had it replaced is still having the same issue.

When accelerating from a stop, knocking clicking noises can be heard. At first, it was only while making a left turn, but now it can be heard when turning in either direction or going straight. It only happens at low speeds. This puts my safety and the safety of others at risk because a failure could result in loss of power to the wheel and/or control of the vehicle. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer and at first, I was told it here was no fix. I was also told it was normal for this vehicle. I completed a survey about my experience with the service department, and received a message that Honda identified a fix and that axles are on back order. No warning messages have appeared.

The car makes a clicking noise when I make sharp turns, most co.monly to the left. It is brand new with only 2320 miles on it. The noise started within the last few weeks. The rear breaking system locked up the brakes and turns the emergency break on, when backing up, even if nothing is behind me. Once it was rain drops dripping off of the rear window. Another time, nothing was there. I had to assume that it picked up a shadow in the driveway.

As others have reported here and elsewhere online, my Prologue emergency braking/collision detection system repeatedly activates when there is no danger of a collision. Backing out of my driveway I can expect that 25-50% of the time the car will slam on the brakes for no reason and apply the parking brake, which I then have to disengage manually to continue backing out. More recently, I was driving 30 mph on a city street with no one in front of me when without warning the Prologue slammed to a complete stop. Fortunately no one was behind me or I almost certainly would have been rear-ended. After four months of owning the Prologue, and seeing this exact problem reported over and over again, it's evident the entire electronics system is glitchy at best and downright dangerous at worst. Everything from the crash-avoidance cameras (regularly issues messages that they're blocked when they're obviously not) to the remote starter (supposed to come on with two quick presses of a button on the fob, but often takes a dozen or more to actually activate) is borderline non-functional. Whether this is a software or a hardware problem, or some combination thereof, there's no question in my mind that sooner or later, as more of these vehicles are on the road, one of these malfunctions is going to cause a crash. I hope the NHTSA will see enough of a quorum of similar complaints to investigate before that happens. For my part, I've turned off all driver assist systems in my Prologue, which is the only way I can be assured the car will only brake when it should. Additionally, again as many others have reported, my Prologue knocks somewhere in the vicinity of the front axle whenever I corner sharply enough in either direction.

1. When I turn my car either left of right there is a huge noise under the hood at the joint like a cracking noise. It is very concerning and doubt that some thing big is broken. I got to know in the forum that almost all the cars are having this issue. 2. When using my HondaLink app to unlock the door, sometimes the app has issues sending the signal to the car. This is a safety issue because in the event I lose my keys I will be locked out of my vehicle or in the even of an emergency when I need to access the vehicle quickly.

There is a loud knocking or banging sound when making sharp turns. Particularly a turn of 90 degrees or sharper. It sounds almost like something under the car coming from the wheels area. It goes away as you release the steering and straighten back out. But it is loud enough that I am thinking of going back to the dealership to get it checked out.

Within a few hundred miles of owning, the CV joint started clicking. Dealer says they can't even locate the part. Told me to keep driving it, but it seems unsafe. Component/System Failure: The issue involves a clicking noise coming from the front of the vehicle whenever I turn the steering wheel to the left or right. Based on my observations, I suspect that the noise is coming from the axle, particularly one of the CV joints. The clicking noise is noticeable at low and moderate speeds, and it occurs consistently every time I turn the vehicle. Safety Risk: If the issue is indeed related to a malfunctioning CV joint, this could potentially pose a significant safety risk. If the CV joint were to fracture or break while driving, it could result in a loss of control of the vehicle, leading to an accident. While the noise itself is not an immediate hazard, the possibility of a sudden failure of the axle or CV joint is concerning, as it could impair my ability to control the vehicle and could potentially cause a serious crash. Reproduction/Confirmation by Dealer or Service Center: The problem has not yet been inspected by a dealer or independent service center. However, the clicking noise can be reproduced consistently every time I turn the car, whether turning left or right. Given the regularity of the noise, I believe this issue is likely to continue and should be addressed. Inspection by Manufacturer, Police, Insurance, or Others: At this time, the issue has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. Since the noise has only recently started and has been persistent, I have not yet taken the car to the dealership for an inspection, but I intend to do so soon. Warning Lamps or Messages: There have been no warning lamps, messages, or alerts shown on the dashboard related to this issue. The vehicle continues to function normally aside from the clicking noise when turning. No other symptoms or mechanical issues have been noticed. When It First Appeared: The clicking noise first appeared around 1000 miles ago. As of now, the vehicle has accumulated approximately 5000 miles.

Around 2000 miles I-??ve noticed a clunky sound when I made rights with the vehicle, so I brought it in to service and they mentioned a problem with the CV axles. I drove a loaner while they waited for the parts so they could replace it. Eventually, the part came in and they replaced it. Less than 48 hours later after getting my vehicle, the sound was back. I brought it in again and they mentioned that Honda says there-??s currently no fix for it. I have now been driving it this way for a few months and to me, it seems as if the sound is getting louder and quite frankly I don-??t feel safe driving this vehicle. My vehicle has less than 6000 miles on it and to have these type of problems. I feel something needs to be done about it.

weak CV joint in the front axel produces a click-noise during front turns. inspected @ manufacturer dealership, parts are on back order. Apparently this is a known issue. Additionally, the HVAC system required valves to be replaced on a new car (>3000 miles)

Suspension Related Issue: CV Axel Joints causing clicking, which is the most common issue among users of this car. Apparently the Driveshaft needs to get replaced as well. I got the right side done as the car was pulling to the right before the replacement, but the other part is on back order with no ETA. Been driving this way since October 2024. So I will believe for now that it's safe to drive the car as per dealer's recommendation to do so. Braking: The One Pedal feature turns off at random when starting the Car. Almost got into an accident not knowing it was off. Dealer cannot replicate the issue, but it happens to me randomly. It's to the point I have to check that first before operating the vehicle. Could be the memory of the vehicle not retaining the settings. Blind Spot Warning: The sound notification has recently turned off and is no longer working. Needs to be inspected by Dealer. Off-topic: Some Dealers only have 1 certified technician to work on the car. You're at the mercy of their availability when something needs to get fixed.

Dealer has been informed and said it sounds like an axle issue and that others have complained about this. Started almost immediately after taking delivery. Also rear camera failed after 1 hour of taking delivery.
