I was driving on the highway approximately 60mph, suddenly the service 4wd light appears. I took it to a Jeep dealership service center and diagnose and needed a 2 speed transfer case unit. It was replaced costing a little under $3000. The problem was not fixed and garage said it was misdiagnosed and still doesn-??t know what-??s wrong. Now the vehicle stalls while I-??m driving and will not start immediately. I-??m afraid this is going to cause an accident! Also it will have a sudden acceleration or a delayed acceleration while driving or when moving from a complete stop. This is very scary!

The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact that they could not assist because her VIN was not included in a recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 104,135.

Transmission shifts extremely hard not only while driving, but while foot is on break - feels as though someone is rear-ending you. The vehicle wants to launch on it's own. I've taken it to the dealership several different occasions. The last trip to the dealership for the problem, the service manager felt what I was describing when he drove it - however, because no codes have popped up they are unable to fix and diagnose the problem as they do not know what is causing it. No warning lights come on, no messages. This occurs DAILY while driving my vehicle. It's very unsafe as I have come extremely close to hitting the car in front of me.

I was driving on the freeway when all of a sudden there was a clunk sound and I started to slow down. I thought it slipped in to nueral. I checked for that but was still in drive. I started to slow down very quickly from 60 mph the speed limit to about 30 miles per hr. Cars were coming up quickly and I was worried about getting rear ended. I pulled to the shoulder with cars going 70 plus mph and was even more worried. I started to drive again and it started again to slow down. Then the -??service transmission -?? light came on. At that time I called for a tow truck and had my Jeep Cherokee towed to the Jeep service shop closest to us. The dealership -??university auto center-?? in ellensburg, wa. Confirmed later after checking it out and said something was terribly wrong with the transmission.

While driving the vehicle on September 22, 2021, the 4 wheel drive light flashed on then stopped, and then began to flash consistently. The vehicle began to shift out of gear on its own accord and lose speed without warning while driving on the interstate. The vehicle was taken directly to Landmark Jeep on September 22, 2021. The dealer diagnosed a Faulty PTU in the transfer case, due to a computer glitch. I was told that they could not fix the glitch without replacing the whole unit at a cost of $4,100. I was told that my jeep was not under your recall. Jeeps of the same year that have this fault are currently covered under recall NHTSA 20V343 and NHTSA 20E037. My VIN has the same exact safety issue and your recall should be expanded to include all affected vehicles. My vehicle is available for inspection.

Transmission shifted from D to N by its self as I was driving. Luckily hadn-??t gotten on the highway yet. A minute later I would have been in the highway when it did it. It said -??shift to p-?? the. It said to service transmission and a number of other things then would not shift after I FINALLY got it to engage. This is the second or third time this has happened! When going around a bend on a highway doing highway speed if I hit a bump I get a very bad vibration in the steering wheel and it makes the car swerve to the point of possibly wrecking. Have taken it to dealership (Jeff Wyler Batavia OH) for the same issue numerous times and they say they can-??t find anything every time but there is clearly something wrong with it! I used to stand behind Jeep. I no longer can. Within a year of me owning it I-??ve replaced Oil cooler gasket, timing gasket, rear diff gasket, and rear axle seal. It had only 80k miles when I had to replace all of this! Now to see what the hell is going on with it now! DO NOT BUY A MOPAR VEHICLE! I HIGHLY SUGGEST HONDA, HYUNDAI, or TOYOTA!
