Constant transmission issues/ jerks and hard thrusts. Been in Jeep dealership many times with complaint. Same issues now out of warranty. Now as of Dec 25 2020, vehicle went completely dead, came back on and now throws all service lights on dash and vehicle will not move out of gear. Have to disconnect battery to put into park/neutral to move out of way. Undriveable. This 2014 lattitude has been a nightmare and an unsafe vehicle from the beginning. Unfortunately I was upside down on finance or it would have been gone. Now with it almost being paid off I am in financial ruin over this once again. Unsafe vehicle.

I own a 2014 Jeep Cherokee sport. While I'm driving at various speeds, the transmission inadvertently shiftes to neutral causing the vehicle to lose motive power. It also will rev it's self while stationary, my car will loose power or gain its own rpms while on a flat hwy, this problem is getting worse. The transmission software needes to be reprogrammed. According to the NHTSA campaign #'s 19V447000 & 16V529000 the recall #'s associated with this same issues I'm having are V69 & S55. When I type in my VIN# to check for these recalls my vehicle is not listed has having any recalls. My specific vehicle needs to be added so I can properly have these issues resolved.

This is regarding the auto makers recall number W47 and the NHTSA campaign number 20V343. Even though my vehicle is suffering the same power transfer unit issue with front wheel slipping, my vehicle has not been counted towards the recall. It has recently been diagnosed with a faulty ptu and needs to be repaired. This is a category 1 recall issue which may result in injury/death. There are over 67,200 vehicles already recalled and my vehicle needs to be recalled as well. Keeps saying shift to park, then desired gear. Runs ruff and then dies. Restarted it 5 times. The tailgate was fixed once and only worked for about a week. Changed the fuses and it still does not work when you press the tail gate button on the key fob, or inside the vehicle. The speedometer flashes all the time.

In October of 2020 while driving on the highway my Jeep shut off and lost all motive and electric power. The steering wheel locked up and the brakes applied themselves. My wife was driving, doing about 40-45mph. A message came up that said put vehicle in park and turn off. After doing so my wife was able to turn the vehicle back on and get home safely. We took our Jeep into to be looked at by the dealership. They said they found a code for low voltage but the battery was good, just loose connections.. no other codes were present. They also stated that they found loose grohnd cables to the chassis and PCM, both were tightened. On 11/18/2020 after filling my gas tank, I turned on to the frontage road and my jee again lost all power. Gave me a message that vehicle must be stopped before shifting gears.

Transmission failed driving down a two lane hill into town at 35-40 mph. Engine light came on. Transmission did not want to re-engage after complete stop. Felt like transmission was starting out in 5th or 6th gear. Had vehicle towed to dealer. Dealer has estimated replacement of transmission to $5000. That's 25% the purchase price of the vehicle. If transmission purchased from somewhere else, it still has to go back to dealer for computer programming.

Vehicle spontaneously shifted into neutral while driving in the morning of 11/3/2020 to work. I had just gone up a small hill into my work parking lot and was going 10mph or less. I had just begun to press on the brake to slow before turning into a parking space when I felt my vehicle lose power. I immediately stopped the vehicle and shifted it into park, my car stalled so I turned the ignition and restarted my car. When I shifted it into drive and began to release my foot of the brake I felt the car slightly roll back before the gear shifted into drive.I parked my car and went into work. After online research, there was a recall (Chrysler recall no. V69) on 2014 Jeep Cherokee SUVS with a 3.6L engines with the same issue regarding the transmission software. My vehicle is a 2.4L engine but had the same exact pattern as listed by other owners such as recently filling up the gas tank and it giving a warning on the dashboard screen but having no warning lights or other indicators that there was an issue. I took my vehicle to a Jeep dealership on 11/4/2020 and had the software updated. Upon closer inspection by the dealership they concluded that the transmission needs a full replacement. I have contacted Jeep directly and they have stated there was an extended warranty on (X80- 9spd transmission) that expired in August of 2020. I never received notification of this, or of the need to update the tcm or PCM.

On several occasions numbering an excessive amounts my 2014 Jeep Cherokee latitude 9-speed transmission has exhibited the hard shifting sluggish shifting and jerking since I've owned the vehicle. Beginning in August of 2020 I noticed on multiple occasions that when I went to pull out from a complete stop my vehicle would not go and would drop into neutral suddenly and I would have to return the vehicle to park and back to drive to get it to move and has caused me to almost be in a vehicular accident on two multiple occasions on the same day and I am concerned for my safety in this vehicle. I have researched and seen that there are numerous recalls for this model and make but mine Jeep is not included but it exhibits the same problems and it has the same make and model that numerous recalls were issued for.
