Cherokee Limited

  • Automatic transmission
  • 33,500 miles

2015 Jeep Cherokee Limited with 33,500 miles and the ABS Module goes out? Dealership wants $850.00 to repair it, saying the warranty expired last month. What happened to the 36,000 mile warranty? Where is the Jeep customer satisfaction guarantee?? Called the company and got the "we will check on it and get back to you" answer with no return calls. Really Jeep, this is how you treat your customers and guarantee their satisfaction?

Update from Oct 5, 2018: Contacted Jeep again and they advised the warranty was three years or 36,000 miles. Since our warranty was a month expired they would not be able to assist with repairs. I asked about the mileage and they replied the warranty was three years or 36,000 miles, whichever came first?? Really? They should inform buyers of that clause at purchase.

The Service Rep at the Dealership was excellent. He has customer service skills and knows how to treat people right. Although we still had to pay for the parts, he was able to remove the labor cost. So we went from $850.00 out of pocket to just under $400.00. Still a lot of money for us, but very much appreciated. Jeep needs to take some customer service lessons from its service people in the field.

Cherokee

  • Automatic transmission
  • 16,100 miles

My husband and I bought this vehicle 6/2/2015 with 9593 miles on it. It now has approximately 16,100 miles. I have a summer car and the Jeep is only run on long trips or winter. I am being told that I need new brakes and rotors and I have to get Jeep parts because they to not have brakes on the market yet for this vehicle. The cost for brakes and rotors are $250.00 without the cost of labor. This is ridiculous that I am putting brakes on this vehicle let alone it not being covered by my warranty.

I have never owned a Jeep and now I know why. They do not stand behind their vehicles and I know why. They don't hold up to every day wear. My vehicle is never abused and my Husband keeps it in top running shape and you can eat off of the floors.

I have owned GMC's and I have never paid for anything on that vehicle. I certainly did not put brakes on it at 16,000 miles. My daughter is driving it now and it has over 1000,000 miles on it and I only replaced the brakes 2 times. I can tell you I will never own another Jeep. I didn't even feel good about buying it but my Husband liked the looks and thought it would be good for winter driving. I have to replace the brakes and rotors but I will not own another one and will be looking to trade it in ASAP!

I also have a Mini Cooper and it has bumper to bumper coverage on it. All of our vehicles have extended warranties on them too and the brakes and rotors still are not covered. Tell me there isn't something wrong with your vehicles!
