2015 Jeep trail hawk approximately 1st 10,000 miles electronics multiple alarms no 4 wheel drive, parking brake error, check transmission light on while driving. Loss of some steering, heavy... car is shifting chaotically. Check engine no visible issues. Took to dealer ship the next day they re-flashed software kept it for the night no other issues until 12/11/2016 when a duplicate of the first event occurred. Took to dealership same thing as reported before, plus oil leak (no oil in my garage upper oil leak) and the dealership completed a transmission re-call repair to fix transmission errors on the 9 speed. All repairs under warranty to date only cost to me is rental cars and lost time at work. 12/19 duplicate again of two events only difference is the car was having a hard time starting on two occasions today but drove fine. On one occasion the motor starter would not stop engaging the engine and it would not start. My foot was not on the brake, and I was not pressing the start button, it was just stuck in start. I pumped the breaks and hit the engine button and it stopped maybe 20 seconds later. The car always returns to normal after it sits for a few hours all the alarms go away and the check engine light is on but it tests drives fine. Last recall noted the same issue and my recall repair on 12/12 was to fix the issue, at this point feel I am pretty lucky to be on side street a few miles from home when errors occur not sure what would happen on the highway. Just checked the engine and fluids all ok will take to dealership tomorrow. Took pictures of the top of the engine and below the car no leaks no fluid issues seems to be a software or programming issue. The dealership has been great don't think they have much control over the problem.

Transmission problems and electrical problems had the car at dealership at least 3 to 4 time for over a week at the time called Jeep headquarters at least 20 times and they are very bad with costumer service. I am worried about the safety for my family driving the car, since transmission issues should not be handled like that. No support from Jeep capital.

SUV shuts off in the middle of road while driving normal speed, city or highway happens both; all lights on dash are flashing, brake light comes on for no reason, alerts to check transmission, check parking brake, check engine, car jus stops and wont move but engine still sounds like it's running, , and and all other electronic gauges are flashing...has been taken back to dealer two/three times in one month to fix but but the same problem always comes back again, . not impressed; I have owned Jeep all my life never had this problem, this SUV is dangerous, I bought this car and paid $38 thousand and have 19K miles on it. I even tried to trade it in with the same dealer and was told it was only worth 17K which is less than half what I paid for it a year and a half ago! how is this even legal" why am I making car payments for a SUV that Chrysler knows is defective and one which they have not resolved issues ? how can Chrysler get away with this ? and this is the auto manufacturer that our government financially bailed out a few year with our tax dollars? how would Chrysler respond if we all quit making payments on our loans " I have been researching thousands of other complaints, same Jeep, same year, etc. I am becoming more and more convinced that Chrysler really doesn't care. They got their money upfront ! furthermore they should not be allowed to continue to be in business while their products are known safety hazards to the consumer.! chuck D mount pleasant,

Flat tow owner addendum card recall S13 customer satisfaction notification we own a 2015 Jeep equipped with Jeep active drive II transfer case. We bought this vehicle because you could flat tow on the ground. Now fca is sending out addendum cards telling us that you can't flat tow your vehicle. Unless we the owners pay to have a wiring kit and battery installed. Because our vehicle may shake on rough roads while towing. Fca said that this is not a safety issue. If this is not a safety issue then what is it?? we have friends that have the 2014 Jeep equipped the same. We were following them on the highway and saw their vehicle bounce from side to side not shake. They have already have had to have the transmission and transfer case replaced. I have contracted the dealership where the vehicle was purchased, fca group recall assistance center, and Chrysler Corp. In phoenix was also contacted by dealership. That the repairs is on us. Also the recall S13 is only for the addendum card.

Third time same issue. 2015 Jeep Cherokee. While vehicle in motion service transmission, service park brake, malfunction indicator light, D(drive) flashing on dashboard, barely made it up a hill, had to press accelerator all the way to floor. Very dangerous-other vehicles do not know what is happening. Occured 2 times in 2weeks after software updated. Not many regrets in my life but buying this vehicle tops the list.

I have owned this vehicle for 4 months and every 3 weeks I have to return it for service due to the transmission, 4X4 and traction control not working. Starts off in 3rd - 4th gear at any given time (almost been hit several times), will accelerate and surge forward during down shifting while stopping (almost hit several different vehicles) and now surges to 7000rpm when turning right and parking break has locked up 3 different times while in gear. 2 different dealerships don't know what to fix because it doesn't register any codes, they also tell me that this is a huge problem on all 9 speed transmissions they make, not just the one's in Jeep. But since they don't know what to fix and therefore its not an issue and I have to take my unpredictable and unsafe vehicle home and not the loaner because Jeep will not pay for it. I have contacted Jeep who assigned me a "resolution case manager" who will no longer return my phone calls for buy back or trading for a different vehicle. Is that their resolution, blow everyone off and hope we all go away"? why is nothing being done for everyone's safety? why are they still knowingly selling these vehicles with no know fix? how long before someone gets seriously injured? there is more than enough information that I have read on this page yet there is no action? isn't that what this site is for? action"

-revving up on its own when in park. Sometimes I have to wait up to a minute for it to settle down so I can put in into drive (original issue that only seems to have been exacerbated from the software update). -rpms spike when downshifting causing a slight acceleration -speeds up without my foot on the gas pedal -lurches forward 90% of the time when I take my foot off the brake, this is unsafe in traffic conditions -lurches forward when I put it into drive. -sticks in park, drive or reverse. The consumer reported multiple occurrences (25 in total) of the above conditions that occurred at various dates and mileages. 10/7/15

4/3/15 transmission recall work completed. 4/25/15 car would not shift properly. Email of notification from Jeep at time light came on read: Malfunction indicator light indicates your vehicle needs service, prolonged driving could cause damage to the engine control system. Car taken to local dealer 4/25/15-5/8/15 transmission replaced. 5/13/15-5/15/15 no power steering, ABS and no 4 wheel drive available dashboard lights on. No email from Jeep stating lights on. Email from Jeep had been automatically sent at time engine light was activated. When service person was informed he said it was because battery had been disconnected for transmission work and I'd have to reload app. Service center states no history of dashboard lights on but did have history of a loss of communication. This is why the car had stopped email notification to me. The car no longer is communicating with it's programmed computerized parts ie; it's doing whatever it wants. 5/14/2015 contacted Jeep given case mngr[xxx]contact number 1-800-763-8422 ext [xxx], email RF1017@Chrysler.com case#[xxx]. [xxx] informed me he would send case in for review. 5/19/15 ABS and traction control dashboard lights on. Pictures taken of dashboard with lights on because of history of loss of communication indicated. Car no longer recording dashboard lights on and service department keeps telling me no light indicator on. 5/20/2015 sensor replaced. 5/20/2015 call to case mngr no answer or call back from casemngr. 5/22/2015 ABS and traction control dashboard light on. Jeep emailed me at time of dashboard light on. I did not reload app as instructed. Car started communicating again on it's own. 5/22/2015 Jeep informed me no refund, no replacement. They want to continue to fix it. This car is not safe. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Cherokee latitude. The contact stated that the traction control system would erroneously activate each time the driver's foot was taken off the accelerator pedal, followed by a warning chime. When the failure would occur, the transmission could not be used in reverse. The contact also indicated that while stopped at a red light on a slight incline and secured in drive, the vehicle would roll in reverse. The failure recurred also on a flat road surface and while the vehicle was stationary. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but no information regarding the cause of the failure was made available to the contact. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 450. Mailed out 01/13/15
