Cherokee Latitude

  • Automatic transmission
  • 147,326 miles

I have had my 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude for almost 5 years everything seems to be happening. Now I go to turn my car on and drive - I get on the highway and instantly my car is running hot I pull over to the side of the road and cut the car off. It's running hot - I don't have any coolant so I'm sitting on the side of the highway. I finally get off after 30 minutes.

I'm sitting in the car on the highway, get to the gas station, put some coolant in it - let it sit for another 30 minutes. Then I say you know I'm just going to take it back home. I then go to get back on the highway and at first it's doing good for a good seven minutes then it instantly runs hot and shuts down while I'm on the highway. The steering wheel locks up and I had to swerve into the emergency lane. It just cut off. I blew a tire and now every second, it's running hot and I can't bring it anywhere. So now I have to figure out how to get a tow truck.

I'm a single mother of three, and lost my job. It's just... what else could go wrong?

Cherokee 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,010 miles

I purchased a Jeep Cherokee North on Dec.13/2014. I purchased the Cherokee North as I wanted a command start as I have no garage and live in Canada where we get winter! I plugged the vehicle in at night and hit the command start in the morning and about 4 or 5 miles down the road the Hot Engine Light came on. I have had the sensor changed and this continues to happen! When this happens the command start won't work !

I have been told that there is no solution at this time for this problem. Has anyone had this problem or know what I can do to solve this problem as I have been told by the dealership that there is nothing they can do until they get an recall for an update and the toll free number that I have for Jeep just tells me that there is no update for this problem. I have waited almost a year with this problem and I am not happy as I paid extra for this option of a jeep North which comes with a command start which was put in from the factory so there would be no problems and all I am having is problems!!!

Cherokee Limited 3.2lV6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 200 miles

My siblings and I usually go out in our respective cars - same destination from same starting place. At the end of the trips we have noticed that the the temperature in the hood of my car is always several degrees hotter that the other cars (Ford Explorer, Ford Edge and Ford Escape). This is very noticeable even after only a short distance - about 10-15 miles. The problem is that the temperature is not only higher than the other cars but extremely high and remains very hot for a long period of time. It often takes more than 2 hours to cool down. I took the car to the dealership and I was told that they could not do anything about it. I am afraid that the unusual overheating may be a fire hazard. With the transmission problem and the overheating, I no longer feel safe driving this lemon and no onen my family or even friends want to ride in it.
