Everything was working fine until I turned off the car to wait for wife to get out of work. When she did I tried to turn car on and nothing came on. But we did hear a clicking noise underneath the dash. Tried jumping the vehicle, nothing at first but car started and then all loss of power once again. Just had it towed home going to call dealership tomorrow morning

Since approximately 7/16/18, the vehicle has not always started as it should. Sometimes the following happens:
• When the brake is pressed and the start button pushed, the engine tries to start but shuts down in less than a second. • This can happen several times unless we wait for several minutes. • After waiting a while, we are able to start the car, but we note the following: 1. The “Auto†for climate control is off 2. The backup camera is not working 3. The outside air temperature registers over 120˚F when it is actually in the 70’s or 80’s. 4. After a while these functions seem to normalize
Update from Oct 15, 2018: Fixed with a new battery.

Vehicle won’t start! The dash light up and the dash was saying engine to hot, service airbag, 4WD system temporarily unavailable, service parking brake and a bunch of other things. I called Uconnect service and they asked me a bunch of questions and finally they said they will send someone to jump start. well I got a text from roadside and the towing company was coming.
I am feeling sorry for myself in choosing a Jeep Cherokee vehicle, I will not buy another Jeep vehicle.

Won't start. Had this happen last month, but it was Intermittent start/fail to start. Dropped off at dealership, who "could not reproduce the problem" meaning, they did nothing to fix it either. You hear just one small "tick" upon pressing the Start/Stop (or stop/stop in this case.) button.
I tried:
Normal start - no good.
Shift into neutral then start - no good.
Use remote key start - no good. Note: Horn beeped only "once" when using the remote start. Normally it's two beeps before it attempts to start up.

Yes it has 41K on the vehicle, but I've never had a battery suddenly die so early on a vehicle.
I already have service scheduled for next Thursday because my transmission shifts roughly in the the lower gears (though most of the time it's okay), so I admit to being grumpy already when this began. I may have busted a sensor when I took the battery out, kind of a complicated cable head on the NEG post,

Jeep Cherokee, 2 years old. Radio/Media center started malfunctioning. At start up, seats don't adjust, A/C doesn't start, no sound on music, etc. Then locked up totally. Won't let vehicle start. Later, can jump off and start, but few hours later, nothing. Dealer ordered new Radio/Media Center. It's already been 3 weeks, and now they're saying it is still backordered and will be another two weeks. That's 6 weeks I can't drive my Jeep which is ridiculous. Jeep Customer Care apologized, but doesn't help in any significant way. I Had to rent a vehicle to go on vacation and leave my 2 year old Jeep behind - that's a shame. Apparently there must be an epidemic of these having to be replaced causing the backorder issue. Very disappointed in Jeep. This will probably be the last Jeep I'll buy - planning to buy a new vehicle in couple of years (or sooner now) but will buy something with dependable service like a Chevrolet! Also, I've noticed a lot of jerking in the transmission.

We bought this Jeep Cherokee brand new with the understanding it would be reliable and long lasting for our family. About 6 months after our purchase, we drove about 8 hours from home for a funeral and the Jeep completely quit working, would not start and locked our child inside. It took disconnecting the battery to get our child out of the vehicle. It was under warranty and it was determined the computer module went bad and had to be replaced. It is now 2016 and the doors are still locking randomly and not allowing entry until we mess with the ignition key by starting, stopping, locking and unlocking the doors.

Battery went dead after 1 year! It took the dealer 4 days to fix this problem (real crack staff!). They said it was a TIPM module (yeah, right!) which controls everything electrical. It's hard to believe I was the first person who brought their vehicle to this lousy dealership with this problem and they had no idea how to fix!! They don't care one bit if this destroys your way of life; they just give the vehicle back and hope they are right. We had the car in for the horn going off at random 4 times a few months before with their standard answer of "everything is fine on the computer"! I wouldn't wish a Jeep product on a "mortal enemy"!

THIS JUST REALLY BUGGED ME BECAUSE I FELT LIKE I WAS GOING TO GET STRANDED SOMEWHERE.
WHAT I WAS TOLD- "CHECK WITH SCANNER, NO FAULT CHECK FOUR TSB NON UNABLE TO DUPLICATE CONCERN AT THIS TIME"
WELL, I GUESS THIS ISN'T HAPPENING?

I started my vehicle, went across town and shut it off. I then go it and tried to start it and it wouldn't even attempt. The dash light up and the dash was saying engine to hot, service airbag, 4WD system temporarily unavailable, service parking brake and a bunch of other things. I called the dealer and they said it sounds like the starter is not engaging... well no duh! They told me to call the Chrysler road side assistance, and gave me the number.
So I called and they asked me a bunch of questions and finally they said they will send someone will a tow truck. well I got a text from roadside and the towing company was coming from another county. I waited over 2 hours for the truck to get to my location. The tow truck driver was baffled also. And very sympathetic. We towed it to the nearest dealer.. since the original dealer was another 45 min away, which in turn said they will give me a loaner and have a look at it. The loaner vehicle was a Grand Caravan that had hay on the floors and smelt like cow manure.
Two days later and I still heard nothing! I called and they said they haven't looked at it yet. I called the original dealer I bought it from and explained my situation. Keep in mind that they are the same dealer, just in different towns, owned by the same people. The service person said he would call and find out whats going on. I waited all day and heard nothing back so I called again and they said "they didn't call you?" I said no! And went on a rant about the crappy service and the literally "Crappy" vehicle they gave me as a loaner. I brought the loaner to the original dealer, and they gave me a different vehicle, and told me that they will have my Jeep towed to their location. The 2nd loaner car the gave me started making noises and smoking! So I once again called the dealer and told them this is crazy! They again gave me a different vehicle and then the airbag light started coming on and the dash kept dinging.
Needless to say after 3 loaner cars and 5 days without my car, I finally got it back. It ended up being a wire to one of the power sources by the fuse box that was not crimped correctly from the factory. Thanks Jeep for all you quality!! not! I will NEVER buy a Chrysler, Jeep product again. Worst buying and service I have ever gotten in my 20 plus years of driving. I understand things happen, but when you spend almost $30,000 on a car, you want it to work, at least in the fist month you have it!
Update from Jan 12, 2017: Still having issues. I'm not sure if its the computer or the electrical. I would say 50 % of the time My car makes a beeping/humming noise when shut off, for at least 2-3 minutes. Also have been having issues with the heater temp not displaying correctly.

i had to get a new transmission put in my car, and since they put it in my stop/start feature hasn't worked. i have taken it in to get fixed twice now. the first time i went in they said it was too cold out for it to work. this last time they said it got fixed and yet is still doesnt work.
does any one actually have a list that says why the thing wont work, because this is getting ridiculous?

Bad news. Car wouldn't start. Had it towed multiple times and it would not turn over.
