problem #1

Cherokee Lattitude 3.2L V6

This is bad! It started with little electrical issues like the stereo volume wont turn up or down and stays stuck until I turn it off. Then once in a while, the dash lights come on and says service shifter, air bag - pretty much every option that it has - would flash. So I went to Costco and bought a new battery and replaced in the parking lot - making sure I didn't hook the terminals up wrong, of course. And it started up and the same lights still flashing so I put it in Drive and gave it gas and it was like it was in neutral. It would not move in any gear.

So I unhooked the terminals again for 10 minutes and hooked it back up and same thing. So I had it towed to the dealer and they said the battery leaked acid on the wire harness and fried out all the wires all the way back to the rear of the Jeep, I was like how could that even happen, none of my batteries ever leaked acid! The Dealer said it will cost me $10,500.00 and I almost lost it! Dealer says the whole wiring harness from front to back needs to be replaced. I talked him down to 8K but still. I see a lot of the same issues like this all over the Internet and similar recalls with the wiring harness so why isn't this a Recall?

Please - Someone help me with this. This has to be a Recall and I am Not going to quit until I get some answers, I don't know who at Chrysler I even start to contact.

I am so Upset and will never purchase another vehicle from Chrysler again. My Extended warranty ended like 3 months before this happened too! How can Chrysler get away with no Recall for this??
