2015 Jeep Cherokee. Consumer writes in regards to concerns that the exterior lights darken 70% of windshield visibility. The consumer stated the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated the vehicle operated as designed.

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that the high beam headlights were so bright that oncoming traffic began to blow their horns. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 15V393000 (structure) and 15V461000 (equipment); however, the parts to do the recall repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
